A good place to farm light leather (for Alliance) is in the North-east part of Loch Modan. The level 16-17 bears and boars drop 1-2 light leather with some medium leather, but no scraps. Also, the density is high and I was able to farm continually on my 36 druid.

I tried the level 14-15 croc island, where the spawn rate is really high, but they dropped too many scraps.

the boar in the field..... in an hour i farmed about 160 Light Leather as a lvl 11 rogue. Of course i did have to combine quite a few scraps but collectively about 160 LL per hour in that area for me.

Hi all.

The Deep Elem Mine (56:46) In Silverpine Forest is THE place for Light leather and scraps!
The Moonrage Mobs drop Money and can be skinned when in Wolfform (if they have any other form, i'm not sure ^_^)
Respawn rate is crazy! :D Right now i'm farming light leather. There is a priest/warlock combo here and noone of them is Skinner. Best Conditions!

I just farmed some of these Moonrage guys... they look like the worgen in duskwood... and they drop more Ruined Leather Scraps than anything... 1 out of every 10 skins is a Light Leather. I would go to the barrens for your light leather.

I used Jaggedswine Farm right outside the zep landing near Ogrimmar to gain skinning levels, got quite a lot of light leather and scraps there.

the easiest way to get light leather is to go the southern part of Westfall an kill all this pigs or whatever they're called. they are everywhere kill all from lvl 15 up to 19. After one run they all have respawned-quite nice

All I did was when I got skinning i went to one of the Molsen farm or that other farm.got skinning up to 50 there.went to westfall skin the boars there untill u get to 100 then redridge right outside of town boars and dragon whelps. then duskwood til 200 then stranglethorn till 250 then tanaris till 275 then winterspring 300

AH :) a 20 stack goes mostly for 50 silver to 1 gold or higher it depends on the prices on your server..

if you need light leather and are a high level, SFK is definitely the place to farm, with 60% drop rate on the worgs and the ease of soloability, this is the best place to get your light leather

I've noticed that a fairly good way of getting decent stacks of Light Leather and not bore yourself to death while at it is to dive into the instance of Wailing Caverns in the Barrens. Most mobs can be skinned for Light Leather, and you'll most likely end up with a couple of stacks of Medium Leather as well.
With Ratchet's faction free bank, mailbox and vendors close, it is not a bad choice at all.

SFK is the best place to farm light leatehr, if your a high level GO THERE, its easy and efficient, 60%drop rate and availibility of other leathers makes this an awesome place to farm

Create another character and farm with it. Easy way to get those supplies that you need in the beginning. Sucks later though. I like having one character to farm and another to create. Makes both characters jump easier. Challenge to play though.

Judging from the stats on this it looks like Ashenvale would be the best place to farm this, from Wild Bucks (13 - 19) 27.56% (71,881) and Ghostpaw Runners (15 - 20) 24.02% (122,379). I'm gonna try it out later. Need some for tailoring.

An amazing place to level Skinning and collecting Ruined Leather Scraps and Light Leather is the site of the quest Echeyakee , which is on the east side of the hill behind Grol'dom Farm. Savannah Huntresses constantly spawn there, in a never-ending stream.

I don't think it's been mentioned but mobs under level 5 cannot be skinned. Gotta be level 5 or higher.

The Maclure Vineyards(41,41), south of Goldshire. Lots of stonetusk boar. They repop fast - should provide an easy way to level through the early stages of skinning (and leatherworking).
