With Patch 10.0.5 launching tomorrow, some changes have been datamined on today's Patch 10.0.5 PTR build which includes Halls of Valor nerfs and a fix for a cheese strategy in Algeth'ar Academy.
Halls of Valor Nerfs with Patch 10.0.5
Here are the datamined nerfs for Patch 10.0.5 in Halls of Valor. Remember that we are unable to datamine health nerfs, so there may be more nerfs that we do not know about at this time.
Fenryr
:
Salto voraz
has a 30 second duration (was infinite)
Odyn
:
Runic Brand damage to players reduced by 18.75%.
The nerf to Fenryr makes the fight much easier for groups without a Rogue as previously a Rogue could consistantly prevent all bleeds from even going out. As
Salto voraz
is cast on a ~40 second timer, this means that if you spread out, the maximum number of stacks on your players will be 1 each and it will fall off before the next set. This will greatly reduce the amount of damage this boss puts out, especially for groups without a Bleed clear.
The nerf to Odyn is nice as the damage that Runic Brand did was very high and basically forced you to know exactly where you needed to go and get there very quickly. This allows players to have a little more time to get to their location before dying. P.S. This

This cheese strategy was recently found and allowed players to remove the majority of mechanics on this boss. As it was an unintended cheese strategy, Blizzard has noticed and looks to have fixed it for Patch 10.0.5.
