BlizzConline Is a Wrap!
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands
Between the WoW Q&A panel and our own gigantic interview, there's a good amount of extra information regarding Patch 9.1: Chains of Domination and future content coming in Shadowlands.
Dreadlords in Korthia
have all but confirmed fan theories that the Nathrazim are not a part of with the Burning Legion, but are actually aligned with the Jailer!
Once unlocked, players will be able to
fly at level 50 in Shadowlands
The Evolution of Thrall panel
heavily hinted at a reunion
between the former Warchief and his deceased mother, Draka.
There will be a
Pepe for every covenant
added in 9.1, with cosplayer DevouringEye already having brainstorming ideas, and there will be 40 more levels of Renown to work through as well.
Wandering Ancient mount
will be available to all players in 9.0.5 FOR FREE!
There are no current plans to
address faction imbalance
, but it is a top priority for the future.
We were sad to hear there is
no additional character customization
planned for Shadowlands. Boo.
The WoW Q&A called the
Sylvanas raid encounter
one of the most epic fights ever made in WoW, and confirmed that the Archon survives the Jailer's surprise attack.
PC Gamer's interview discussed raid loot improvements and the
removal of the death counter in Torghast
Tier sets won't be coming in 9.1, but the
Sanctum of Domination raid will use legendary gear models
interview with Jeremy Feasel and Frank Kowalkowski
covered a ton of subjects including new activities and rewards in the Maw, a new Maw currency for Ve'nari, tier sets, updated Soulbinds, Covenant swapping restrictions, the possibility of equipping multiple Legendaries, and much more!
The Burning Crusade Classic
Embracing the spirit of #SomeChanges, developers are following a path similar to Classic WoW, but with a few more targeted adjustments, including the shuffling of arena seasons.
Original Collectors Edition owners will be able to use their
in TBC Classic.
Developers are considering using elements from the
modern Group Finder in place of the LFG tool
introduced in Patch 2.0.1, but will not be adding automated group queues.
are likely to change, in order to avoid Leatherworking becoming a dominant profession.
TBC Classic will use
Patch 2.4.3 balance instead of tuning over time
, similar to Patch 1.12 balance in WoW Classic.
Along with that, players will benefit from quality of life improvements including the
Patch 2.4.3 experience curve and learning riding at level 30
instead of 40.
There's a lot happening in the world of Diablo, between Diablo 4, Diablo 2: Resurrected, and Diablo Immortal. Most of today's information came from the
Diablo Q&A panel
Despite previous canon, Diablo 4 Rogues and Druids will not be gender locked.
Diablo 4 features a variety of accessibility options, including turning off monster highlighting.
A big limitation to making a darker world is striking the right balance between beautiful and terrible, in order to avoid desensitization.
Diablo 4 will have transmog, TP scrolls and books, "technically" feature angels, and couch co-op play, but won't feature fishing, and probably won't have quests for every class.
Unlike Warcraft 3: Reforged, Diablo 2:
Resurrected and Classic versions will remain separate games
, so modders and fans of the original game will not be impeded. Cross-progression will be supported, but no cross-play. You currently cannot load an original D2 original character into Resurrected.
Resurrected will use Patch 1.14 balance in order to maintain authenticity, despite some balancing issues. There won't be any new runewords.
Modern Battle.net will have far more tools to combat bots and cheats than the original Diablo 2.
Trading won't be exactly the same, as it will include more quality of life improvements, but it will be similar.
Diablo Immortal will have seasons, but will not reset character progress.
There isn't any Immortal lore in Diablo 4, since it takes place during the 20 year period between D2 and D3, while D4 takes place even further ahead in the timeline.
No release date yet, but more testing phases are coming.
