Countless demons fell beneath his claws until, through the overwhelming numbers of the enemy, he was overtaken. My brother was the true spirit of the bear! You must prove to me that the spirit of the bear resides within you as well."

Spirit of Ursoc says: "I can see that your hearts are pure, but even now I sense that more of the enemy is en route! If you will bear my claws in defense of this world, then you must act fast to retrieve them."

Lea says: "Thank you, mighty Ursoc!

"The ritual I'm about to perform is complicated and will take some time to finish, but it is the only way to drop the barrier."

Spirit of Ursoc says: "These foes are weak but numerous. In life, I paid the ultimate price for underestimating my foe. Not again!

"Creatures of the wilds, come to our aid! I demand your service!"

Mylune says: "I heard your call for aid, great one. Are there any teeny lil' fuzzy animals in danger? Oh, oh my!"

Lea yells: "It is finished! The claws are ours!"

Spirit of Ursoc yells: "Hold, Guardian. I feel a chill deep in my very bones."

Shade of Xavius yells: "Foolish bear! You've fallen for my trap!"

Spirit of Ursoc yells: "What is this sorcery!? Xavius, when I get free I'll tear out your foul throat!"

Shade of Xavius yells: "No, Ursoc. The next time you bare your fangs it will be at my command!"

Spirit of Ursoc yells: "I will fight you to my very last breath, usurper! I, who fought against demons in the ancient war. You think you can stand against a god?"

The Claws of Ursoc, Part One

Ursoc's legacy is known to every druid on Azeroth. As one of the great Wild Gods, he challenged the Burning Legion ten thousand years ago and bravely laid down his life in defense of this world.

He was a true guardian. He believed in the power of the wilds, and he never hesitated even for a moment to leap to their defense.

But now he can rest. Others will need to continue his work.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Two

Many millennia ago, two inquisitive bear cubs roamed the area around the Grizzly Hills together. These brothers, named Ursoc and Ursol, had more curiosity than good sense, and they frequently found themselves trespassing in the domains of bigger predators. Danger did not discourage them, and each one never left the other behind, even when circumstances seemed dire.

They caught the attention of Keeper Freya, who was traveling across Azeroth in search of exceptional wild animals. Freya recognized their potential and saw what they would become.

When they matured, they grew stronger and bigger than any other bears in the Grizzly Hills, and they did not suffer the ravages of aging.

Ursoc and Ursol became known as Wild Gods.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Three

Perhaps the most unusual gift Keeper Freya gave the two bears was the ability to speak. A few other Wild Gods, particularly those who would become known as the August Celestials, also received this gift. While they were chosen for their intelligence, the two bears were chosen for their stubborn bravery.

Freya believed that Ursoc and Ursol would one day change. When they finally saw enough of Azeroth to satisfy their curiosity, they would be compelled to protect it from any enemy that would threaten it.

She knew them well. Ursoc, the older of the two bears, had a strong protective streak. The more he saw of the wilds of Azeroth, the more he felt it was his responsibility to preserve them.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Four

Keeper Freya saw how the instincts of the Wild Gods matured over the years, and she noticed that some of them were natural guardians of their domain. For those creatures, she began to create unique weapons, items that would aid them in times of trouble... but these artifacts would only become as strong as their wielder made them. Their true potential could only be unlocked with practice, nurture, and self-improvement.

Some Wild Gods did not understand what Freya had given them, and they neglected their weapons. Ursoc was not one of them.

Freya gave Ursoc new claws, fashioned out of a rare material called titansteel and imbued with a small portion of the essence of Eonar, one of the titans. These claws could grow in length and were nearly indestructible.

Ursoc had no intention of letting them waste away and decay. He dedicated himself to mastering their power.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Five

Once Ursoc received his new claws, he trained tirelessly. Every day he traveled long distances and sparred with his brother, testing his strength. Over the years he grew stronger. Much stronger. Ursol had received a gift, too, a staff that eased the use of magic, and he soon mastered his own power.

Ursoc's titansteel claws became an extension of his body, and Ursol became an expert in manipulating the flows of magical essence.

Together they had become some of the most powerful Wild Gods in existence... and they would soon become known as Azeroth's staunchest defenders.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Six

Eventually Ursoc and Ursol accompanied Keeper Freya on her journeys across Azeroth. She confided in them that she sensed dark forces at work, and they made sure she was safe.

As they traveled with her, they received their first glimpses of the Emerald Dream, the realm Freya had created to guide Azeroth's natural life. They spent as much time as they could within those untouched wilds, drawn to the Dream's thriving, vibrant vision of nature.

One day, Freya asked to travel alone. To both Ursoc and Ursol, it sounded as if she was bidding them farewell. Before she left them, she offered more wisdom about their weapons and their other gifts, and she told them to remain prepared. ""Azeroth will need you. If you do not stand ready, the world may fall,"" she said.

The Wild Gods never saw her again. The darkness that had claimed the mind of Keeper Loken had also corrupted hers.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Seven

Ten thousand years ago, a threat unlike any other set its gaze upon Azeroth. The Burning Legion, after corrupting important members of the elven civilization near the Well of Eternity, invaded with all of its might and fury. The first druid, Malfurion, called upon the Wild Gods to fight back against the demonic hordes.

Ursoc and Ursol were the first two Wild Gods to respond. They rushed into battle with the Legion's doomguard, landing the initial blows in the war between Azeroth's wilds and a fallen titan's twisted army.

It was a desperate fight against overwhelming odds. Neither brother hesitated for an instant, and even when the full wrath of the Burning Legion was brought against them, they did not run.

They fought until their last breaths.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Eight

Many Wild Gods perished in the war against the Legion. Ursol and Ursoc remained together, fighting back to back, using Freya's gifts to bring down waves of demonic enemies. But their strength had limits. An unending tide of felstalkers finally overwhelmed them, and they both died in battle. Their spirits traveled together to the Emerald Dream, where they stayed for millennia.

Ursoc's claws were all that remained of him in the physical world. When the fighting moved elsewhere, a young furbolg found the titansteel claws. Recognizing whom they had belonged to, he took them to his tribe.

For generations, those furbolgs worshiped the claws as the final sign of their bear god Ursoc.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Nine

Few furbolgs had the courage to try to wield Ursoc's claws in battle. Every time they did, the results were horrifying. Ursoc had spent untold years mastering their power and unlocking their potential; in the hands of an untrained mortal, they inspired an uncontrollable bloodlust that lashed out at friends as easily as enemies.

After a number of attempts, the claws ceased to have any effect at all on the furbolgs. No matter what rituals they tried, it seemed as though the power in the claws had become dormant.

Ursoc's spirit, standing guard in the Emerald Dream, had simply seen enough. The furbolg tribe was not capable of controlling his power, so he withdrew it from the claws. It would not return until someone worthy claimed them.

Members of the Druids of the Claw eventually brought the titansteel-wrought artifact to Ursoc in the Emerald Dream.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Ten

Ursoc's desire to protect Azeroth had not wavered, even after death. He and Ursol roamed the Emerald Dream, searching for any signs of corruption or darkness taking root in the realm.

Recently, the return of the Emerald Nightmare drew their attention. Ursoc fought Xavius, the lord of the satyrs and a pawn of evil forces, in an attempt to eradicate the Nightmare's influence.

For a second time, Ursoc made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of Azeroth.

The Claws of Ursoc, Part Eleven

Now Ursoc can finally rest. Ursol, his brother, continues his watch inside the Emerald Dream, fighting against the Nightmare.

Ursoc's claws no longer belong to the Wild Gods but to those who can carry on their work. Only someone with a guardian spirit as determined as his will be able to wield them in battle.

And woe unto any enemy that has to face a creature as dedicated as he.

I see that there are separate weapon appearances (mostly changing the glow of the weapon), how do you actually change those (opposed to changing the skin of the actual shape shift form). I don't see any achievement or way to unlock the physical weapon look anywhere...

we don't transmog our weapon, we transmog our FORMS. By the way, on default row, tauren default is missing, instead there is the form Koda Steelclaw is using, might want to fix that little thingy

It might be worth noting that you will not be able to change your appearances if the glyph Ursol Chameleon is active.

To 'fix' the bug with the uncorrect sheathing / model clipping, Sentinel form / glyph probably needed, not sure.

Go to a staff vendor and buy a cheap white staff.
Activate sentinel flight form, and equip the staff in place of your claws of ursoc
re-equip your claws of ursoc, while still in your flight form
You can now sheathe your claws of ursoc, drop flight form, sheathe the claws if they were still displayed on your bird, and re-enter your awesome looking flight form!
it should display your sentinel form without the claws, but your friends will still see the claws. Log out while in flight form.
log back in and your sentinel flight form should display correctly...permanently.

Now you can shapeshift in and out of flight and bear form, log out, log in, and you should also be able to sheathe your claws as intended.

Note1: if you are in normal form and unsheathe your claws then shapeshift in to flight form, you will still see the bug, but you just have to sheathe them and reshift back to flight form, and the fix is still active.

Note2: it only stays permanent if you log out while in sentinel form, so if you log out without being in flight form just do this fix again and it'll be fine.

Great to have this resource! Also want to point out the first two of the Guardian Druid's "Avatar of Ursol" appearances are backwards. The blue one is obtained via "Unleashed Monstrosities", not the green one.

Blue Aura - Guardians of the Glade (Hidden Appearance)
Green Trimmed Claws w/ Purple Aura - Avatar of Ursol (Balance of Power questline)

I don't have the PVP form or the Gizzlemaw form, so that's all I know.

I got the claws on an old druid after another druid had them already. I do not have the glyphs. I did the recommended transmog remove. I can transmog other items into the claws and transform into the bear from artifact but the weapons themselves won't give me the look.

The Fallen to Nightmare skins are now tied to PVP honor levels 10, 30, 50 and 80.

If you are just completing the "Balance of Power" questline during BfA or Shadowlands (pre-patch), you have to logout/login your character after completing the quest and achievement to get the new bear and cat skins available at the barbershop.

Hi all
Maybe you can help me with this issue...I hope. I got the Keystone master achievement in BFA, when it was account wide and all my chars have it. I have been working on one of my druids to do Balance of Power to unock the 3rd tint in the artifact appearances, but when I finished the Balance of Power questline, all that got unlocked was the 1st tint in that row. I have been in contact with support several times, and each one who answered my question gave me a different answer from the one that answered it earlier. They mention something about me still needing something - a questline or something - to unlock the tints.
I cant seem to figure out what I stille need...the Unleashed Monstrosities, i still need 3 of, and the Glory of the legion Hero achievements still need 2 parts of, but they tell me that I can unlock the tints individually, only I need to unlock the base appearance...Im sooo confused.

I still have some quests under "Artifact" in my questlog but all of a sudden the mobs I have to fight is lvl 60, Im only lvl 56....can one or some of you tell me what I need to do to unlock the appearance from Balance of Power and the Keystone master achievement ?

I feel that they explain it all very well.

Claws of Ursoc: all 4 of these "base" forms are from doing the Legion order Hall campaign. No need to activate Chromie time at all!

Stonepaw: THREE of these are from completing the orderhall campaign. The 4th one (Purple) also requires a lengthy Archaeology Meta achievement. It requires "special" digs that rotate every 2 weeks. You need to do 8 of them, so starting from scratch it will take at least 16 weeks to do.

Avatar of Ursol: This is the Rave Bear! The base, Green, version requires the 'Balance of Power' meta achievement. It's fairly lengthy to complete and requires rep gains and raid drops from both Emerald Nightmare and Nighthold. Depending on your drop luck it can take a few weeks to a couple Months. LUCKILY with 10.1 you only need to do this once per account. So once Balance of Power is done once, it unlocks for all your characters! The Blue bear requires the 'Unleashed Monstrosities' achievements which means killing 8 different World Bosses in the Broken Isles, so this takes at least 8 weeks. The Purple bear requires completing a +15 dungeon in time, once Balance of Power is complete. Yes, this still means a current +15 which can be either very easy or very hard depending on your M+ prowess. The Red bear requires the Legion Dungeon meta achievement, Glory to the Legion Hero. Most of them can be done solo, but 2 of the achievements require a group ('I got what you Mead' and 'Poor unfortunate souls').

Fallen Nightmare: These are all based on your Honor Level. This is a PvP thing. It is account wide, so any character you PvP with will increase their Honor Level. You get a new form at different levels: The base Blue one at Honor Level 10, Orange at Honor Level 30, Green at Honor Level 50, and Red at Honor Level 80. This can be an extremely long grind depending on how much you enjoy PvP.

Guardian of the Glade: This is the BONE Bear, and is Guardian's Hidden Appearance. As far as hidden appearances go this is very easy, just takes RNG. It's a Drop from the boss Ursoc in Emerald Nightmare. It can drop on any difficulty and you can run all 4 difficulties each week. It's not THAT rare so you should get it pretty quick. Once you get it you get the Brown Bone bear. After you get the initial appearance, completing 30 Legion Dungeons gets you the Black Bone Bear. Doing 200 World Quests (i'm pretty sure they can be WQs in any expansion) gets you the Red Bone Bear. Finally, getting 1000 Honerable Kills gets you the White Bone Bear. This isn't too bad and you should get it after queuing a few Epic BGs.

Might of the Grizzlemaw: These are the original Werebears. They were unlocked by completing the original Mage Tower, as Guardian, in Legion. This got a White werebear. Killing Heroic of Mythic Kil'Jaeden in Tomb of Sargeras gave a Tan werebear. Winning 10 Rated Battlegrounds got you a Black werebear. Then completing another 10 Legion dungeons got you the Brown werebear.

Fel Werebear: This is the newest model and can be obtained by completing the current Mage Tower as Guardian. Doing it as Guardian will also net you the Druid class transmog set. I did it when it first rereleased in Shadowlands and it was very hard. I completed it on all Druid specs back in Legion and the rerelease was much harder than it originally was. But, from what i hear; currently with all the power you get from the new talent trees it's not TOO bad, but it is still very punishing. Good luck!

Since this most recent Tuesday, 12/02/2025, you only need to complete a 5 keystone in retail, ON A DRUID, to unlock the purple tint for the Avatar of Ursol. You must also have finished the Improving History achievement I assume before, also ON A DRUID, since these appear to be class specific. Just confirmed this with a friend on retail doing a 5 Streets of Wonder. The achievement changed this week in Legion Remix from Keystone Master to Keystone Challenger! So excited!
