Ruby Life Pools Dungeon Quick Tips

Sidestep the Gigante primigenio's Explosión excavadora. Your tank must pay attention to the tank-buster ability - Machaque aplastante.

Interrupt Tejefrío Raudoescarcha's Descarga de Escarcha & Escudo de hielo. This is by far the most important caster in the area.

Use CC abilities to stop Modelador de tierra Piedraprofunda's Embate tectónico.

Be aware of the clutches of eggs in the pools around the area. These will hatch if any player or enemy steps on them, spawning one Infused Whelp for each egg that was hatched. These casts Garras frías relatively frequently on the highest threat target leading to a large amount of unnecessary frost damage and a potential stun if not dispelled.

At last, when facing Desafiador Draghar, make sure to avoid its frontal charge - Carga en llamas. In addition, your tank must use a defensive during the Tromba de acero channelled attacks.

Avoid the Ráfaga de granizo before it hits the ground. It is bait to bait them close to each other so you can have more room to play around.

The person that gets a Tormenta gélida must place it outside of melee and preferably away from your group. Keep in mind that you have a limited time to escape the "vortex" without taking any damage. Here is a good place to use a defensive cooldown if you are in a critical HP. Remember that at the end of the Tormenta gélida cast, it will do damage and push you back, so stay away from any existing Ráfaga de granizo.

Important mechanic: At 75% and 45%, Melidrussa Ajafrío will spawn a dozen of Infused Whelps that do only auto-attacks to your tank and apply Garras frías (healers must dispel that). During this time, you have to break the Sobrecarga de Escarcha to end the intermission.

When Melidrussa Ajafrío spawns its Infused Whelps, watch out for their tank as they apply Garras frías. Collect the aggro and ask your healer for a dispel. Make sure to stack them under the boss so your party can both, cleave them and break the Sobrecarga de Escarcha.

Keep everyone healthy during the Tormenta gélida. Remember that there will be a large burst of damage at the end of the cast.

Use healing cooldowns during the Sobrecarga de Escarcha, the longer the shield lasts the more you have to heal. This is the hardest part of the fight.

Use defensive cooldowns for Tormenta gélida if your health dips low.

Prepare your offensive cooldowns for Sobrecarga de Escarcha, the faster you break the shield the easier becomes for your whole party.

Immediately after defeating Melidrussa Ajafrío, hop on the one of the Draco radiante, who will carry you to the next area.2Kokia Pezuña de FuegoTronatestaGargantardiente

Tronatesta (left screenshot) is slightly harder to deal with of the two. Dodge the Aliento tormentoso at all costs, as only a few ticks of this frontal will likely kill you.

Your tank must pay attention to Fauces de trueno, the "tank-buster" will deal high damage and knock them back.

Last but not least, watch out for Trueno ensordecedor debuffs. It will always apply 2 applications, each of them going on a random player from your party. Upon expiring, it will deal massive damage to all players within 100 yds, so the best way to deal with it is to let your healer dispel one target and wait until the second debuff expires, so you can delay the damage coming out of it. Upon dispelling, it will deal the full damage that you would normally get upon the debuff expiring.

Gargantardiente is the easier "mini-boss" that you must face. Dodge its Aliento de llamas frontal cast at all costs.

The drake will also cast Fauces ígneas on your tank; the "tank-buster" ability will deal massive damage followed by a lingering damage-over-time Fire effect.

Finally, once Gargantardiente is below 50% health it will cast Sangre de magma, which can be treated as an Enrage effect that cannot be dispelled and will deal damage to all players within 60 yards. The longer the Gargantardiente stays alive the more stacks of Sangre de magma it will get, increasing its damage with every tick, hence why you want to delay your damage cooldowns to nuke it faster during this "burn phase".

Outside of that, there are several other notable non-boss-enemies you must watch out for:

Interrupt Primalista tejecinéreo's Descarga de ceniza at all times. Occasionally they will buff themselves with Ambición ardiente, having higher haste but also taking 25% more damage. If you feel confident, let the debuff persist so you can kill them faster.

Stop any Tromba llameante casts coming from Latifogador contemplacenizas. In addition, right before they die, it will trigger Fulgor de gloria - dodge the ground swirlies and break/purge the shield as quickly as you can.

Pay attention to Destructor vinculado a las llamas's Bomba viva, it goes on a random target, it does damage per second and it explodes at the end, dealing a high amount of damage - knocking you in the air (use defensive cooldowns if vulnerable). Sidetip, you can get closer to melee and use the Bomba viva end-close knock-up explosion on Primalista tejecinéreo & Latifogador contemplacenizas to disturb them. In addition, Destructor vinculado a las llamas will occasionally cast Inferno doing unavoidable AoE damage to everyone within 100 yards, plus an additional damage-over-time effect every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.. Finally, when the Destructor vinculado a las llamas is defeated, it will cast Consunción - quickly move out of melee to avoid taking lethal damage.

Avoid being hit by the initial damage of Ritual de vinculación de llamas. Note that it is always based on your location; stacking together will
"manipulate" where the add spawns. Upon that, switch immediately on Tormenta de Fuego vinculada a las llamas and interrupt its Salva de llamas at all costs.

Be aware that upon death, Tormenta de Fuego vinculada a las llamas will cast Consunción, leaving you a few seconds window to escape the mass AoE and its Tierra agostada follow-up effect.

Another reason why it is important to nuke the Tormenta de Fuego vinculada a las llamas is that they deal uninterruptible group-wide AoE damage - Inferno. Ideally would like to have only 1 of such casts per add.

Avoid the Roca fundida at all costs.

Position yourself so that Roca fundida rolls into the sides of the room, while being close enough to allow DPS to easily cleave any Blazing Firestorms currently active. The easiest way to do this is to have your back to the sides of the room.

Use active mitigation for Golpes abrasadores and its follow-up effect Heridas abrasadoras.

Beware of Tormenta de Fuego vinculada a las llamas's Inferno cast, as it will deal unavoidable AoE damage to everyone in your group. This is a good place to use your healing cooldowns.

Be ready to use external healing cooldowns for your tank during Golpes abrasadores and its follow-up effect Heridas abrasadoras.

Your priority in the fight is making sure to kill Tormenta de Fuego vinculada a las llamas before he casts Inferno for a second time.

Avoid staying unnecessary in melee during Guerrero de la tormenta's Pisotón atronador, which will reduce your Haste and Movement Speed if inflicted.

Cumulonimbo primigenio have a large absorb on them; when this expires, is dispelled, or runs out of health, they cast Detonación de nube de tormenta at a location (dodge it) before despawning.

Use defensives when Canalizadora de la tempestad is casting Tormenta de relámpagos. In addition, use your spare interrupts to stop the Explosión de trueno.

Interrupt Canalizador de llamas's Fuego rápido at all costs, as not only does it deal damage to a random player, but it also heals the Channeler. You can choose to ignore the Venas ardientes buff since it makes them take more damage, but it also increases their Haste by 50%.

This is one of the hardest 2 - phase fights you will face. At the beginning of the fight you will be fighting Erkhart Venatormenta, but once he reaches 50% health Kyrakka will join him, starting the Second Phase. Before that, there are several abilities you must avoid from both bosses:All Roles

Dodge spell=381525 coming from Kyrakka, failing to do so will apply a a Flema infernal to you. Once Flema infernal expires, it will leave a lingering Ascuas llameantes fire pool on the ground. Heads up, if you get in contact with Ascuas llameantes, they will re-apply Flema infernal.

Stop casting when Erkhart Venatormenta is about to finish its Ráfaga de nubes channel, otherwise, it will "lock" you on a spell cast for a short period.

Beware when Erkhart Venatormenta is casting Vientos de cambio, as it will deal AoE damage to everyone and also apply a pushback effect. The pushback effect will also move any existing Ascuas llameantes.

During Phase 1 of the fight, Kyrakka will periodically target one player from your party to cast Flema infernal, make sure you use defensive!

Chunking Kyrakka's health is going to be the most important as they are the more dangerous part of the boss fight. Use every opportunity to deal damage to them while they are on the ground during Phase 1.

Tank

Position Erkhart Venatormenta (Phase 1) to allow your DPS to dodge Aliento de fuego rugidor while not being too close to the edge to accidentally get pushed off by Vientos de cambio and simultaneously cleave off Kyrakka.

Golpetormentas is a very powerful tankbuster with a stacking magic vulnerability debuff that does not fall off on its majority of the time. Ask for your healer's dispel and plan your defensive cooldowns better.

Be aware of where all the Ascuas llameantes are, and position the boss so that you have an escape route if the winds push them towards you. As the tank, you are uniquely positioned to be able to see behind your group - in this fight, this is a major advantage!

Healer

This fight is made arbitrarily harder the worse your group is at dodging avoidable damage and not standing in Ascuas llameantes. Be aware of your surroundings.

Flema infernal stacks hurt; the good news is that the unavoidable ones (from Flema infernal) are only going to go on 2 people. The bad news is that DPS randomly taking avoidable damage will compound this problem, as they'll also be punished with bonus Flema infernal stacks.

Do not panic! Track ability timers, and play proactively rather than reactively on this encounter. Preparation and anticipating mechanics are some of the best ways to not get caught out and roasted by the breath, boxed in by Flema infernal or thrown off the platform.

DPS

During Phase 1 do your best to cleave both bosses to 50% before entering Phase 2, as the early fight is much easier.

Use defensive cooldowns if you get Flema infernal debuff on you.

This guide leaves out or is mistaken on quite a few items. For instance, it glosses over the other critical abilities associated with the trash in the ring leading to Kokia (2nd boss), and it is Primalist Flamedancers who cast Flame Dance, not the Cinderweavers. Knowing the ability of the Fire drake, that he puts out a stacking DOT on all players when he goes below 50%, is crucial, and is not represented in this guide. I expect there are other serious omissions as well.

Comentario de Netcownt

Ruby Life Pools Achievements list is not correct, the text is of Are You My Broodmother? but the link points twice to Dragon Kill Points.

Comentario de TheBabyBrat

Does Living Bomb actually hurt the mobs? Or does it just bounce them into the air?

Comentario de Ashurban

Thundergullet and Flamehead are Thunderhead and Flamegullet, and typo "Livinb" bomb. That section needs could do with a clean up and linking to the abilities.

Comentario de wdog

Can someone update this to include all the Blazehoof trash? Very strange to only put half the mobs you encounter in that area. And you guys wonder why people don't care for your Dragonflight guides thus far.

Comentario de Jescker

I wish this dungeon will come back in S3!

Comentario de ThePrefessional

There is one mistake with this guide that I also believed until I started running it and had confirmed with another player. The Roca fundida will target a random player not just the tank, and this guide makes it seem like the Roca fundida is the tanks sole responsibility. Everyone needs to be aware of positioning . Not too mention that if the arena does become compromised with bad fire positioning, you can drastically move the boss to do somewhat of a soft reset with a clear canvas.

I have a full video breakdown of this dungeon, plus the typical route on my youtube channel. The Prefessional Direct link to Ruby Life Pools Guide is HERE
