Who else is tired of Alliance players referring to the Horde as monsters?

Also, Alliance needs a better catch phrase. 'For the Alliance!' or 'For Lordaeron!' just seems unoriginal. D=

...what, wrong game?

I think the perception the Alliance players have of the Horde comes primarily from our old first games and fantasy books. There, the orcs are pure evil, the trolls are monsters, and so on.

When I wanted to stat playing WoW and had absolutely no clue about the game and its lore, I was like "omg I want to play an elf badly but I don't want to be with the Horde, I don't want to play a villain" - guess why? "Night" elf sounded the same as "Dark" elf to me, and we all know those Drows are evil, and if Night Elves are evil, they must be in the Horde because the Horde is evil! How aren't Tolkien's orcs evil?

Except that we're not in Tolkien's world anymore, but old habits die hard.
Oh, and night elves are evil, I know it for sure now.

Hope I don't offend EVERYBODY with this lil' tirade

Get a life. Every single thing in the world has *Something* wrong with it (except me, of course), and saying bad things about it won't change a thing. 133t, it shouldnt matter what the 'space goats' say to you, you deserve it if youre f***ed enough to start this pointless topic. Tauren ARE cows, but they smell worse and are a little less docile, and they are just there to give the Horde a druid race. Orcs are like teenagers testing new drugs, Trolls are like teenagers of the stone age (Bezerk, Regeneration) and they aren't anything new in way of gameplay. Undead... funnily enough they arent all that bad, but they could use a bath with a LOT of soap, and i cant figure out for my life how they ingest food (in the normal sense AND flesh), and the cannabalism racial is creepy. Blood elfs are alright, Arcane Affinity is awesome, but their dance makes them look like a seductionist (their hand twirls around in circles, and it looks like theyre showing off their ____), and they look too much like born pr******tes. Humans are kinda wierd, especially how unreal they are. They aren't useful for anything (in the game), Dwarves are essentially people who go into the mountains so their beer is more affecting, Gnomes are creepy (/dance), and I find it oddly amusing how exiles got the machinery and expertise to become one of the most advanced races in Azeroth after fleeing their home, Night Elves are purple people who look like they belong in some new Playhouse Disney or Teletubbies, and Dranei look like theyve spent too much time with their radioactive power crystals. They would be good in a political movement against Nuclear power. Most people wouldnt take the time to read this far, so if youre still reading.... F*** off. G'nite

Ok, lets see... from playing Warcraft 3/WoW Ive learned;

Night Elf: Overprotective, Selfish, Will kill to save a tree.
Human: Just like to hate things (Orcs, most of all)
Gnome: Mind there own business while making things that blow up.
Dwarf: Alcoholics, with hair.
Draenai: These are just damn stupid waste of a race.

Orc: The only decent race.
Tauren: Kinda messed up.. spirits tell them to jump a cliff, they jump.. oh yeah "Mooo!"
Troll: If The Warcraft Universe had weed, these guys would be smoking it.
Undead: They're.. erm... corpses, they were MADE to be monsters.
Blood Elf: As someone's said before, addicts of magic, make deals with psycho demons for their fix.

Imo, horde aren't monsters (Except undead), every race has something good and bad to say about them (Except Orc )
