Special character in char name (ð) -> Wowhead armory sync issue.

One of my characters is
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Kazzak&cn=Ni%C3%B0skipti
, the special character being ð (eth). Typing the name with ð on wowhead makes the site attempt to sync with armory on the name "Ni
%F0
skipti". This yields "that character does not exist" - the character code used on armory for eth is "Ni
%C3%B0
skipti".
It worked to add the character under
http://www.wowhead.com/?profile=eu.kazzak.ni%C3%B0skipti
(same character code for eth as armory), but fx selecting the address bar and hitting enter makes Wowhead attempt to retrieve the character with the wrong character code for eth again.
I'm guessing this might be a problem with which character encoding Blizzard's is using for the armory as ð is converted to %FO when typed in Firefox as well, which obviously yields the same error, but is there anything that can be done on this side to make it sync correctly?
edit: To clarify, resync with the button on the working char page here on Wowhead works fine.

Looking into this, thank you!

Small update, it now tries to use ni
%25C3%25B0
skipti instead, and also produced a popup with the message "
An error occurred when resyncing this character:NaN
" (but I haven't been able to reproduce this).
edit: Didn't realise immediately, but it's worth pointing out that it'd be "correct" if the two 25's were removed.

Finally figured out exactly what was going on with this. This is a problem with the way that Firefox encodes URLs. It ONLY happens when you copy/paste the
unencoded
URL into the address bar.
There is a setting in Firefox that lets you fix this, but it's a complicated one. If you want to try it, here's how:
In firefox, type in the address
about:config
.
It will ask you to confirm that you're messing with your settings. Say yes.
In the search bar on the page, type in
network.standard-url.encode-query-utf8
Double click on the entry so it says
true
.
You should be set. If you don't want to mess with your Firefox config, you can just wait to see if we can come up with a better solution. Even Blizzard seems to have this problem in the Armory, though. =/

That's awesome, Mal! I was having this exact issue trying to copy and paste an applicant to my guild's name into the address bar, manually formulating the profiler URL and it seemed to only screw up the first time. I had no clue what was going on.
Thanks so much for that explanation. Changing that setting now.

Izichial, can you verify if this is still happening?
