At this point, it's probably preferable to level trough Hyjal, because you need to do that to unlock the Firelands dailies, and leveling in Vashj'ir gains you nothing extra. I would recommend doing Vashj'ir at least long enough to get the mount, though. It helps in case you ever want to go there for something specific, like a pet tame, to camp the other mount, join guildies killing a rare, etc.

The only other thing to go through Vashj'ir is if you have not done it all the way to get the achievement for the final quest there. Otherwise like the others have said I go Hyjall to level any new toons that I roll.

I'd do the Vashj'ir quests up to the point when you get your seahorse mount and then go to Mount Hyjal.

The quests I got kind of just sent me there, and I haven't exactly found a way to skip out.

At this point I just want to be done there. Lol.

Is it possible to fly to the mainland if you get on a flying mount? Before you get fatigued, anyway.

In addition to hearthing out, there is a flight path on the water's surface.

And if you have flying skill, you can mount up at the water's surface and fly out on your own.

Where's the flight path?

And I have a 280% flyer, but i wasbnt sure if I could make it without getting fatigued

I was under the impression that the Seahorse Mount from the quest was still useless outside of Vashj'ir. The Seahorse Mount that works everywhere is hard to get iirc. Unless that has changed the only reasons to do that zone are 1) for Loremaster, 2) for Earthen Ring rep.

At least the zone is pretty empty now that Cata is old hat. During the Cata roll out it was even worse than it is these days. I left the zone after a few days and did not return until I was 85 and grinding Earthen Ring rep when it was much, much easier.
