It makes it more important than ever to have a /stopattack macro. Simply moving doesn't stop you from firing anymore.
I hadn't thought about that. Now when I shoot off a Wyvern Sting, I have to make sure I cancel my Auto Shot, or turn 180 Degrees quick.
Or beg to god they fix the autoshot bug.
Well, the only movement penalities will be having to go into AotF and thus lose the AP bonus from AotH, and losing Sniper Training if SV.
The big implication I see is that this will probably be the final nail in the coffin for good ol' jumpshots. Timing jumpshots with the swing timer and switchign to a strafe form every Steady or Cobra that I want to fire? I think that we will have to strafe things to death when kiting instead, if we want to kill them anytime soon. The tricky part is not losing LoS or angling yourself so as to allow your enemy to take a shorter diagonal and gain ground on you (you move at an angle of x degrees, your enemy moves at an angle slightly less than x degrees in response, and the distance between you and your enemy decreases).
Strafing
may not be as elegant, but it works.
Good thing I learned to do both then =P. If they fix the AotF issue (actually Steady Shot and Cobra Shot issue), it'll work fine.

Is there a Macro I can make for my Wyvern Sting at the moment that says to not use Auto Shot when I fire Wyvern Sting?
Would it be something like...
#showtooltip Wyvern Sting
/cast Wyvern Sting
/cancel Auto Shot
/cancel autoattack
Just replace the last 2 lines with /stopattack
Should work.
