No, really. This is kind of a way to let out my #$%^&*yness, instead of doing it towards my friends.
I'm just a d*ck on the internet, so I don't have to be towards the people I love :P
You should teach that trick to my boyfriend. He's a troll on the internet AND at home.
A true master.
I troll my family and friends lol.

Perfect hobby for Azazel to pick up.
Writing ridiculous replies to "For Sale" and "Want" ads.

Too bad I don't see such ads. Ever. =/

Well, at least the recent sub thread is semi-non-hostile.

I have a suggestion for wowhead.
Is that they should make a thing on our profile that we can change our name anytime? and change the username if you want with no problem, just like steam :D

That would play HAVOC with the system.

I don't think that's the issue, in the same way that our signatures update on every post that we make when we change it.
If you think it's a good suggestion, email . I'm personally not a fan though - I think it disturbs the sense of community if people can just change names whenever they feel like it.

But you can change your name whenever you want right now, but takes awhile until they answer your email, i think its a good idea, i don't wanna send a email atm to them because i'm already waiting for a email to be answered.

I suspect the quoting system (using names instead of account IDs) is going to be the issue here. If it didn't, it'd be very simple.
Which is the problem. Sometimes, when I go back through old threads, I find a user I haven't heard of, who has name changed/been deleted. It's irritating.

Nah. I'd rather we stay with the current system of requesting a name change. Would cause mass confusion.

The signature is connected to you and the post through your User ID so of course it does, people quoting me on the other hand are only tied to my post by the fact that they contain a copy of the data in the post with my name at the time I made the post, changing my account name doesn't update people quoting me on an old name.
Yep, understand what you mean now.

While it's something admins are able to do, it is not something you should consider that you're able to do "whenever you want". As a one off or for a particular reason it's fine but I don't think the intention is that people can change usernames on a whim.
