Game-Time or Store items can be gifted to other players/accounts, but you can't exchange anything in return for it as soon as you do so it becomes a trade and is no longer a gift.
Not to mention - this is almost ALWAYS a scam, they'll use a stolen credit card and you'll end up with no time, no gold - and potentially, no account.

Did you seriously just compare buying gold in a video game to murdering someone?
I also like to know how Blizzard can stop someone from doing what I mentioned in a previous post, as neither is a violation of the rules.

Actually, it can be. It's an exchange of a real item for in game currency, that is not being done by Blizzard. If they really wanted to, they could ban both accounts. Will they? Probably not, but it is a risk that does exist.
