The mobile gaming market is huge guys. Also the fact the have heard the outcry and also ported this to a working crossplay PC version it is 100% bigger than Diablo 3. They are also riding the coat tails of the Diablo 4 hype and the Diablo 3 content drought, so the eagerness for new Diablo content has also spurred on bigger interest.

ofc it's going to be the biggest release. It's a free game.Free games almost always have more players/accounts than paid games.That does not mean it will be the BEST diablo game ever released.
DI seems to be a big thing for some, but I'm not so sure this is the right platform to promote that? 5 DI news articles in the last two days, and they all seem to have less than a handful comments. So no idea where that hype should come from, while most I know are going to try it out the next weeks I don't know of a single one who sits there impatiently watching the release countdown.
I've never understood the attraction for Diablo. Have seen it first around 15 years ago. It all seemed too repetitive, just smash large groups of mobs, the navigation seemed ugly, mobs respawned, repeat operation.I've bought Diablo 3 a few months ago, played it for a while, seemed the same repetitive thing, with a better look.Don't care about Diablo, tbh, as a WoW player.
