Checking at the Necromancer build used by TinyElephant to reach the Top Necromancer in Challenge Rifts, he must have purchased several Legendary Crests with Eternal Orbs as the material requirements to upgrade Œil du berserker
(Rank 10) and Liberté et dévouement
(Rank 9) are quite steep.Œil du berserker
(Rank 10) requires a total of 629 Gem Power; and Liberté et dévouement
(Rank 9) requires a total of 433 Gem Power.
I played a Summoner Necromancer in Diablo Immortal Beta and I am currently a Corpse Explosion Necromancer level 60 (Paragon 10) post-launch. Looking at TinyElephant's Summoner Necromancer Build I can see the genius of his Legendary Item choices.Couronne de la Laisse dorée
(Helm) -- This Legendary Item converts the 4 Command Skeleton minions into a single powerhouse Skeleton with a giant sword that spins on command at a targeted location for massive AOE damage.Chaleur vacillante
(Torso) -- Bone Armor instead summons three bone spikes that orbit around the Necromancer damaging enemies it touches. This is essentially the equivalent of a Necromancer with a Diablo 2 Paladin's Blessed Hammer.Onction de Synod
(Shoulder) -- This one intrigues me because this is a new Legendary Item that wasn't available for test in Beta. It increases the maximum charges of Skeletal Mage by 1. Therefore, it doubles the amount of Skeletal Mages summoned. Normally, a Necromancer can summon a Golem, 4 Skeletons and up to 2 Skeletal mages for a total of 7 minions. However, in TinyElephant's case, his Command Skeleton only occupies 1 minion with a giant sword. You may imagine how many Skeletal Mages he can theoretically summon with only a Golem and 1 Skeletal Warrior on the field.Désolatoria
(Weapon) -- My favorite in Beta. This Legendary Item transforms the Golem into an immolation Golem that permanently casts a fire aura burning nearby enemies. There is a tradeoff, though. It no longer taunts or stuns enemies.Balise du disciple
(Off-hand) -- Increases the Command Golem damage by 10%.
Overall, TinyElephant went with a AOE build to do the most damage in Challenge Rift as a summoner Necromancer. The one skill that surprises me is Wraith Form -- which has no Legendary Item in his arsenal. He is simply using it to escape damage. I would have personally used Bone Wall with the Legendary Item that transforms it into Skeletal Soldiers that knock away enemies.
But now looking at his Berserker's Eye Legendary Gem I can see why he would choose Wraith Form. Berserker's Eye increases his damage by 5.50%+ but increases the enemy damage on the Necromancer by 6%. Therefore, he is dishing out increased damage, and avoiding damage taken as much as he possibly can.
On the Shield, I am not sure he benefits more on increasing the Command Golem damage by 10% or instead how it would compare if switching to the Fin accueillante
(off-hand) which transforms the Skeletal Mage into a Grim Reaper with a giant Scythe that AOEs enemies in melee range. Seems to me that 2-4 Grim Reapers would be "DIABOLICAL!" good in Challenge Rifts (sorry, Karl Urban/Billy Butcher of The Boys -- I couldn't resist).
