Diablo Immortal Pre-Launch Tier List
The six classes launching with Diablo Immortal have varied attacks, abilities, and capabilities, with some bringing better single target damage or support options to make up for weaknesses in other areas. While this doesn't necessarily make one class better than another, understanding those strengths and weaknesses may help you decide what to play as you face off against the minions of Hell.
The Barbarian is a great class choice if you want to make quick work of your enemies in close combat. While the class lacks in terms of single-target damage, it shines in every other category:
may be the best multi-target damage ability in the game, especially paired with the right legendary powers. Barbarians also hit like a truck in PvP battle and have an incredible mobility toolkit at their disposal.

Similar to its Diablo III counterpart, the Crusader in Immortal showcases the definition of a jack-of-all-trades: It provides great support options - especially in PvP situations - does decent damage, and it's not too hard to play. The real strength and fun of this class lies within the synergies between different ability toolkits which perfectly embody the typical holy warrior fantasy, showcased by abilities like

In Diablo Immortal, the Demon Hunter class fulfills the fantasy of a bolt-shooting damage machine, packed into a high-risk/high-reward playstyle dictated by smart use of cooldowns such as
. As a result, its single-target damage potential is unmatched in end-game content - a fact that will likely be reflected in Challenge Rift standings and "meta" raid compositions. Those strengths come at a cost, however, as although Demon Hunters will be able to hold their ground in PvP, they aren't the best choice due to limited mobility and support options in the pre-launch state of the game.

can do enough work on their own - but they'll use their active abilities only if their master tells them to! This active and easy-to-master playstyle may not top the imaginary damage meters, but is very approachable and can feel extremely rewarding. In both PvE and PvP, skilled Necro players will thrive by supporting their raid or battleground team through smart use of crowd-control and minion-based abilities.

Players who loved the look and feel of the Monk in Diablo III will definitely get their fair share of hyper-athletic melee combat when choosing to play the class in Diablo Immortal. Insane in-fight mobility, smart support abilities, and great multi-target damage potential make Monks a solid choice for all kinds of PvE content - who needs single-target damage anyway, right?! However, where the holy fighters of Ivgorod really excel in is PvP - not least because their toolkits synergize so well with each other, especially in terms of crowd control showcased by abilities like

Looking for the ultimate glass cannon class? Well, the Wizard class has got you covered! To make up for the lack of defensive options, Wizards have
, the most effective movement ability in the game. Together with a plethora of ranged crowd control abilities such as
, Wizards have a lot of tools, but players will need to put in everything they have to get the most out of their class - though doing so will reveal excellent multi-target damage, crowd control, and strong potential in both PvE and PvP! This makes it the least beginner friendly class, though one of the most rewarding as well.
