Season Pass Helltide Chest Requirement Still Bugged - "Some Progress Has Been Made"

Sit tight, Wanderers - it seems many players will have to wait a bit longer in order to fully complete their Seasonal Journey.
Players had noticed that despite opening countless Helltide chests, both Mystery and standard, their Season Journey criteria weren't progressing - and with three separate goals linked to these chests, it's understandable that there has been some frustration. Thankfully, Blizzard has acknowledged the bug; however, there doesn't seem to be a fix in sight.
Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher stated on Twitter that some progress had been made into fixing the bug, but wasn't able to give a timeframe for the fix. While we know a
hotfix is incoming within the week
for Patch 1.1.1, it remains to be seen if this fix will be completed in time, or if it would need a full patch instead of a hotfix.
