- A Core Skill with a 40% Lucky Hit Chance that attacks enemies with a spectral scythe that shoots forward dealing Shadow damage and returns back to the Necromancer, causing a smaller % Shadow damage to enemies. With the modifiers, it Slows enemies and generates a Corpse at the endpoint.

- A Basic Skill that generates Essence, deals Shadow damage and provides Damage Reduction for a short time. It executes enemies below 5% Life. The Lucky Hit Chance helps to generate Corpses.

- An Ultimate Skill (Aura) that deals Corrupting damage per second in a large radius. It generates Essence, refills Healing Potions over time and increases damage with a multiplier, and the buff persists 5 seconds after the Ultimate expires. It applies Vulnerable to enemies for 3 seconds, and it Fears and Slows them for 5 seconds when it expires.

- An escape mechanic that makes you immune to damage for 3 seconds. The skill moderately damages enemies and heals you.

- Requires a Corpse, detonating it to deal damage to surrounding enemies. The 25% Lucky Hit Chance might generate Corpses via .

- A Crowd Control Skill that pulls enemies toward the targeted Corpse, Stuns enemies, and deals damage to them. With the Lucky Hit Chance and the modifier, the Skill also generates Blood Orbs when damaging enemies.

- A Key Passive that afflicts enemies with a damage multiplier debuff increasing your damage against Vulnerable, Crowd Controlled, or Corrupted enemies.

is our most valuable pick, but each Offensive Passive in the planner has immense value to the build!

is our source of Corpses for Пожирание плоти.

- Movement Speed is scarce in this build, making this passive skill an obvious choice.

is taken despite its conditional nature resulting in a choppy fluctuation in Movement Speed.

is our source of "hard" Crowd Control to activate the second half of .

gives us the last little boost to hit 100% Critical Strike Chance early on. With targeted Masterworking, if you overflow the Critical Strike Chance cap, these ranks could be dropped for more Skill Points in other Passives, such as and Hewed Flesh instead.

By far, and are the most important Defensive Passives. is our only source of Fortify, and while Раскол души maintains Barrier in the thick of the fight, allows us to initiate fights and immediately gain a Barrier. 's added Damage Reduction is a welcome addition. Despite this, still offers an 18% Damage Reduction bonus when we are most vulnerable—initiating a fight.

Skeletal Warriors

Reapers
Sacrifice — You deal 20% increased Shadow Damage, but you can no longer raise Skeletal Warriors.
This applies a generic multiplier to all of our damage.

If you struggle with reaching 100% Critical Strike Chance, replace the above choice with:

Skirmishers
Sacrifice — Your Critical Strike Chance is increased by 10%, but you can no longer raise Skeletal Warriors.
Useful pick before you can rely on gear for Critical Strike Chance.

Skeletal Mages

Cold
Sacrifice — You deal 20% increased damage to Vulnerable enemies, but you can no longer raise Skeletal Mages.
Раскол души maintains a near 100% uptime on Vulnerable application, applying this damage bonus nearly continuously.

Golems

Iron
Sacrifice — You deal 35% increased Critical Strike Damage, but you lose the ability to summon a Golem.
The Sever Necromancer is built around 100% Critical Strike Chance, making this a constant damage increase.

Наследник погибели - The 200% Damage to Demons is clearly a great stat in the Pit, Infernal Hordes, and the Dark Citadel in Torment IV and below. The Movement Speed enhances your survivability by helping to avoid ranged attacks and lethal Elite affixes, and the +X to Core Skills increases your Отсечение damage.

Покров притворной смерти - +1 to All Passives gets you beyond the 3/3 Passive Skill limit and enables Passives that you didn't spend Skill Points on. The Maximum Life is always good for survivability, and the All Stats increases Armor (via Dexterity) and Skill Damage and Resistance to All Elements (via Intelligence). The Movement Speed helps you avoid ranged attacks and lethal Elite affixes.

Кольцо беззвездных небес - Reducing the Essence Cost of Отсечение allows you to spam the Skill with little downtime, and the resource generation in gear choices supports the playstyle. The Attack Speed is great when you can spam Sever with low Essence cost. The +X to Core Skills increases the damage of Sever.

Наголенники пустой гробницы - This Unique item increases the size of Sever, has a decent chance to deal double Sever damage, leaves Desecrated Ground that deals Shadow Damage, and gives you damage reduction, movement speed, and 4 maximum charges for Evade (which also leaves Desecrated Ground behind). Lots of useful tools for the Sever build.
