Blizzard has changed their
Diablo Twitter
profile picture and background to a hooded character carrying a lantern that emanates a mysterious symbol. Could this character be Inarius?
We spotted the symbol in
Blizzard's Badge Series
from 2020 which is part of the collection alongside the symbol for the Order of Zakarum and the Order of the Horadrim. With the symbol featuring a goblet, cross, a drop of blood, and a sun it could very likely be religious in nature.

The Pale Knight's armor, which was first shown in
June 2021's Quarterly Update for Diablo IV
, is also adorned by this symbol.
The mysterious symbol appears on the shoulder pads of the hooded figure as well. At first glance it looks like the character's face is obscured by shadow but if you look closer you can see that a black cloth covers it.
Recently, it was discovered that Blizzard has added a new client to their branch named
Diablo IV Renegade
. This combined with the gathered information could mean that this is hinting at Inarius' return in Diablo IV, who is the renegade angel that created Sanctuary together with his love Lilith, Daughter of Mephisto.
It is interesting to note that Inarius was called "The Veiled Prophet" in the book of the same name in "The Sin War" trilogy. It is also the name of the highest position within the Order of the Cathedral of Light, describing him as a mysterious prophet and the undisputed ruler of the order.
The symbol for the Order of Zakarum was changed for Diablo IV which could be the reason why we haven't seen the mysterious symbol before.
