Undocumented Changes in Diablo 4 Patch 2.0 - Quality of Life Additions, Renown Changes, Masterworking Costs

Keep in mind that anything mentioned below is subject to change and has been taken from the PTR - it's highly likely things will adjust before the official Vessel of Hatred launch.Update:Adam Fletcher clarified on RedditCharacter Creation and Customization

Iconic campfire scene was removed, new character creation now shows every class separately with additional video footage showcasing gameplay

Many new hairstyles were added to the character customization

One of the new hairstyle options in Patch 2.0

The Wardrobe can now be accessed from anywhere by going into the character panel and clicking on the Wardrobe icon

4 new Pigments (Canopy, Royal Mariner, Cinder, and Sunrise) for dyeing were added to the Wardrobe

4th and 5th Renown rewards were swapped, meaning it is now less important to reach the final Renown rank

Only Obducite remains as a Masterworking material, Ingolith and Neathiron were removed

Mythic Uniques can now be crafted at the Blacksmith instead of the Alchemist

Two new Panther Mounts (Reins of the Leucistic Panther and Reins of the Nahantu Panther) are purchasable for 100,000 Gold each at the Stable Master under the Vendor tab

Quests and Whispers

Priority quest icons are now purple and Feature Unlock Priority quest (e.g. Rogue Specializations) icons are now white in the center with a purple outline

Priority quests now note below their name if they introduce or unlock a new system, e.g. Torment Tiers, Barbarian Expertise etc.

Handing in Whispers at the tree now has a chance to offer a Greater Cache of Gem Fragments or Greater Cache of Gold as a reward

Tormented Bosses

Regular Uber Bosses were removed, only Tormented Bosses remain (starting at Torment I difficulty)

Summoning mats required to summon Tormented Bosses were changed, Stygian Stones are no longer needed:

Same materials are required across all Torment difficulties

Andariel: 2 Sandscorched Shackles, 2 Pincushioned Dolls

Beast in the Ice: 12 Distilled Fear

Duriel: 2 Mucus-Slick Eggs, 2 Shard of Agony

Grigoire: 12 Living Steel

Lord Zir: 12 Exquisite Blood

Varshan: 4 Malignant Hearts

Tormented Bosses received loot changes:

Tortured Gifts of Living Steel have been removed, large amounts of Living Steel now drop from the Tortured Gifts of Mysteries

Training Grounds

New Training Dummy feature: Dummies can now attack and deal specific types of damage (Fire, Poison etc.) in an AoE around them

A Jeweler and a Healing Well were added to the Training Grounds

User Interface

Red Dust is no longer displayed next to the Obols in the character panel below the inventory, only in the "Stats & Materials" window

Resource orb now turns golden under the effect of a Channeling Shrine

Buff limit was increased from 8 to 16, however, Runewords and debuffs now take up buff slots

Buffs now show their duration on mouse-over

Silent Chests now show up on the minimap when you are close in proximity

12 new Stash tab icons were added (these are not yet implemented and show up as blank)

New Marker feature for the Dark Citadel has been added under the Action Wheel customization (can only be used in the Dark Citadel)

No noteworthy changes, mainly cosmetic garbage , Smaller damage numbers, and ANOTHER complete loot rework (s4 was the first but thats being scrapped AGAIN, in favor of this new system, which looks terrible btw)
The biggest issue i have is the number squish. Diablo is all about getting the biggest possible damage number you can. Why get rid of that? Its a huge turn off and the re work of the reworked loot? Why? You JUST re worked loot. Its still bad sure but the new loot system is MUCH MUCH worse. This game goes from bad to worse every season, no wonder everyone is jumping ship except those paid shills like rob , woodijo and pownyhoryComment by voreoAnd still no new stash tabs.....
