Vessel of Hatred is coming out in late 2024, and we'll actually have more news next summer about Diablo 4's first expansion!

The expansion is going to come late next year, so we don't want to "light the hype fire" and make it too big to just cool off eventually, leading to players having to wait for a long time .

We hope to have the big expansion reveal come early this summer, so that way we can provide a lot more details about what we're doing and what the new class and story are - that will come in about six months or so. we wanted to give enough to keep players interested but not go crazy and then have them wonder what's going on.

So why can the Wow team start the hype already with the same release schedule, but the Diablo team can not? Makes no sense.
Blizzard really wasted the oppertunity to start the hype train for the next Diablo 4 Expansion.

Either they didn't have anything to show, or the Diablo team are incompetent. The Diablo 4 panel, really sucked compared to Wow.

Well the Diablo 4 panel didnt gave details about things, they were mostly "dont have much details to share at the moment" they could at least show more or less what the class might be or something, so yeah. Why talk about the future when you actually dont have anything to share for it?

Because WoW team already has done most-ish of the work AND they release the game in Fall 2024, NOT end of 2024... aka, if they have their stuff together, WoWs next expansion can release in late September at the earliest. Plus, WoW has more stuff all around to be hyped / theorize / think about than D4, with 4 different zones than just 1 gloomy zone for D4.

Plus, Microsoft now owns Blizzard, and they probably want some info also for their E3 or whatever Summerfest Microsoft con they have in summer-ish time... thus, Diablo 4 was sacrificed for that....

+ probably because D4 team had to pull people from the other teams to fix stuff for Season 2, they aren't well prepared to actually show the new class and what it's doing, unlike how WoW showed the Warrior doing different stuff with Hero talents.

EDIT: you also have to think that anything they come up with, the D4 team I mean, will be VERY scrutinize and also dogpilled upon if it's even remotely bad-ish... that's why the team is holding stuff back and only announcing it like weeks before release, because they are afraid from backlash, in some cases that backlash is normal, like when they actually ^&*! up, but not when complete brain dead redditors start crying about everything and anything they do, even if it's good.

This doesn't pass the sniff test. WoWs xpac could come out as late as Dec 20th and be "Fall" - And not only is that a bs excuse, but they announced and gave more info on Midnight and The Last Titan than D4 did about their ONE xpac. It's bull$%^&, entirely bull&*!@. It's not ready and they don't want to admit how much work is still left.

It's a bs excuse and people shouldn't let it slide.
