KFC Collaboration For Diablo IV Beta Keys Starts March 9

Go to diablo.com/beta and log in or create your Battle.net account.

Enter your code and select your gaming platform and region (if applicable) from the drop-down menu.

Be sure to check your selections before clicking the Redeem button.

A success page will confirm that your code was valid and claimed to the account.

Watch your Battle.net account email for a platform-specific code. This will be emailed to you with new instructions shortly before Early Access to the Open Beta begins.

It's called a cross-promotion. Companies do it all the time; Call of Duty did it with Mountain Dew and Little Caesar's not too long ago, and FF14 did it with Amazon a few times.

It looks topsy-turvy how Betas are handled. It looks more like an extension of an announcement event than an actual Beta. Like they're not doing it for the feedback and only to have a metric of engagement (both for KFC and Blizzard).
So, predictably, at release, the game will be FULL of bugs, because they prefered to make a spectacle of their Beta, to bait those who have no patience (who won't care to send feedback), rather than having a proper well-paid QA-team dedicated not to play the game, but to find bugs and report them well.
