Diablo IV Campfire Chat on June 16th

On June 6, the gates of Hell flung open and players from around the world were thrust directly into the conflict between Inarius and Lilith. Thanks to you, Diablo IV is now the fastest selling Blizzard game of all time! We want to take the opportunity to express our gratitude directly during our first Diablo IV Campfire Chat.

Grab your favorite fiery beverage and join Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson, game director Joe Shely, associate production director Tiffany Wat, and associate director of community Adam Fletcher on June 16 at 11 a.m. PDT. The team will detail our successful launch, feedback we’ve received from the community, and what’s on the horizon for Diablo IV.

Scaling
Bad itemization
questionable nerfs of density
Renown farming in S1
Lack of builds cuz of new mandatory borrowed powers AKA aspects
Zero questions about Loot 2.0 issues with shako/gf/andy droprate
ALL core mechanics are D3

and etc etc etcComment by Vendetta8247It was a successful launch and they game is in a decent state 10 days after release. People being sad about the Demise farm are completely wrong as any thinking person could tell you it's harming the game. The real issue is with Nightmare dungeons as there is pretty much zero reason for running it except the glyph xp (regular xp is negligible).
All in all - D4 is a great game that fixed most of the issues of D3 while staying true to its nature. Builds are good, there is not a single meta in the game and what is wrong is quickly fixed and re-balanced. I wish they did balance the other way but they are extremely (and I mean EXTREMELY) fast at fixing and changing stuff. This is a dream for any live service player.

D2 fanboys are incredibly loud tho, I really don't know what you're doing in D4 if you only want D2Comment by Z3RKingI really hope that their reveal on Season 1 contents has some depth other than a Seasonal Pass & lame ass buffs.

End game is mad repetitive & soulless. We get the exact same batch of activities as D3 with less monster density & zero leveling sense of power (monsters scale with players level). Dungeons DO NOT feel unique - you could make a rift portal in Kyovashad throwing you in a random dungeon and none would be able to tell that it's not a randomly generated map. Helltide is the most bland & boring event ever made. Paragons are the most lazy made power-ups ever seen in ARPGs where even legendary nodes are mediocre at best. You have isolated powers that have actual effects on gameplay on unique items that are extremely rare thus forcing casuals to stick with the same rotation they have been using since lvl.1 unless extremely lucky. And that does not refer to all classes as, ie. sorcerer's unique items, are less powerful than the median legendary.

The game itself has so much potential but at it's current state feels extremely lacking. One can only hope - you may either seize the moment or keep relying on clout & investing on commercials w/ huge disregard to the after-effects to your reputation as soon as the hype settles down.Comment by PandaabearParagons are the most lazy made power-ups ever seen in ARPGs where even legendary nodes are mediocre at best.
