Diablo 4's Expected Seasonal PTR Livestream is Cancelled, Leaving Players Worried About Changes

Hi all -

We wanted to provide a quick update on our livestreams going forward.

The tldr; is that we will not be having a livestream for Season 10 PTR as we are focusing on revamping our livestreams going forward starting with the Season 10 launch. There will still be a blog and notes to accompany Season 10 PTR so players can expect news on that soon.

We have been evaluating feedback from players and internally have been wanting to revamp our livestream formats for quite a while especially as we head into next year with the new expansion.

We still want to have that developer interaction moment where players can hear directly from someone on the team during the PTR, so we plan on shifting our Discord Sanctuary Sit Down to occur with our PTR Patch Notes/Blog release. There will be more news on that tomorrow (August 12th) for Season 10.

We have hit the 30th stream milestone recently for Diablo IV, and we couldn’t be more excited to kick-off the revamped livestreams with the launch of Season 10. Please keep the feedback flowing as we head into our new format as we want to make the best possible stream for the community.

We used to get new items and aspects along with huge class balance changes each season in the middle of the season. Then they took away the new aspects and items after season 3, but at least they did the mid-season balance tuning. But then recently they took that away too...

Now they take away the campfire chat. What's next, no more PTR?

S10 will be my first season that I will not play, unless they somehow manage to fix the game as they have been teasing.

Only ever did 1 class per season... but the recent season changes have been awful. Seasons 6-8 were probably the most fun as Spiritborn. :DComment by TezcatlipocaBlizzard's design concepts are outdated and not fun. The fun and entertainment factor has been sacrificed in favor of monetization. Not only in Diablo, but in almost all Blizzard games, players are locked into a treadmill of grinding for season rewards, just so that they can be kept playing for as long as possible, because the company rightly doesn't trust its own product and its fun factor to be able to maintain the necessary interest.

I believe Blizzard's time is slowly but surely coming to an end, and players need to look for other developers who do it better. You can't ride a dead horse.Comment by 2495351Rod left a dumpster fire behind. Why should he care about blizz now?
