I feel like a lot of people who are happy about it don't even remotely understand how low the drop rate is. Out of the millions of hours played, we have 2 confirmed drops of a shako. I saw numbers on reddit which could be fake but they said that the drop rate for these ultra ULTRA rare uniques it 800 000 times lower than the most common WT3 unique, 400 000 times lower than the most common WT4 unique. You actually had a far better shot at getting any of the legendary weapons in WoW than getting any of those and then you have to consider the stats on them have a range so you could get an absolutely crap rolled one.TL;DR: I don't think the people happy about these ultra rare uniques even begin to understand how rare they are.
Rarity is bad. Those items either should not be so rare or should not exist at all.
All I see about Diablo IV is crying! That's why nowadays games have 10 levels of difficulty, 1 of which is really brutal, because people can't get in touch with any kind of frustration. Look at Twitter, the complaints about the game... It's surreal!
imagine u get 1 to drop that u dnt want, or cannot use, like the crappy ring, or maybe ur a black river necro and u pull a grandfather, not gna be a good day imo, atleast make them tradable
pog
ROFLMAO at that one dude saying he’s been farming for something in D2 for going on 20 years now and is happy that he hasn’t gotten it yet because it keeps the thrill alive… That’s beyond insane to me. Can’t fathom how anyone can legitimately feel that way.
I personally do not care about these items. I don’t play enough to care. But many do, and they should have some chance of obtaining them in a season. Rare is one thing, nearly impossible to acquire is another. What I do care about is the drop rates of the other uniques. There are some items that are needed for specific builds to work, I am looking at you Tempest Roar, I am level 84 and have yet to see even one. The overall rarity of all these items needs adjusted. I shouldn’t be over flowing with them, but let us play the game using them.
With no trading in the game, i think its easier to pretend these don't exists in the game. The drop rate is either 0 or something so small that its pointless to even call this a 'chase' item.Seasons won't last long enough to make these items drop.Honestly at this rate, Blizzard might as well remove them from the game], or they need to add in Tier 5 which is obviously should have been at 80, which has a higher chance of a drop.
There's no trading. So it doesn't matter if the drop rate is higher. If it takes longer to find an item than the duration of a season (3 months) then it's obviously too low. Low drop rates only work with trading enabled. Without it, who cares if it drops in 1 hour. It's worthless because of no trading. Also regarding 'Uniques' can we actually get some 'Unique' looks for them? I found a Unique Chest, it has the EXACT same look as a random rare chest from level 20. Like are you serious? In Diablo 3 every legendary/set piece was unique looking.
The only solution is making them tradeable. But Blizzard wont learn.
There's not enough items in the game to justify locking 6 of them behind insane drop rates. It's different when you have 300+ other uniques that can drop, but when most classes have less than 20 possible unique drops, having 6 of them basically not exist is !@#$ty. It's not so much the low drop rate on these as it is the gap between every other unique and these, and the pitifully small number of uniques. Seeing ten thousand Raiments for every Shako that drops is a two fold problem.I stopped playing because I'd already gotten every item (other than random god roll rares) for my characters, other than shako/gf, and now I'm really glad I didn't hopelessly grind for those.
I'm not sure if the guy comparing SoJ droprate in D2 to those super rares in D4 is serious or making jokes.
People don't know how many of these have actually dropped since a lot of players aren't wasting their days on social media posting about every single thing they find in game. A lot of players probably dont even realize the items they have are that rare. Sounds like a bunch of entitled players who think they DESERVE a drop are getting whiney
people were crying for a diablo more like D2...well...you got it.
I like it. They are rare enough so you don't have to farm for them... just play.Maybe you get lucky. I will not. I am happy for you.It is the WORST development in gaming when there are no... item achivments anymore. You don't need to be 100% BiS equipped. These few unique items than maybe 1 in 100000 people gets feel exiting and are rare enough that they have zero impact overall.
There are hunders of folks without basic ARPG knowledge talking about drop rates.if you have ever played any other ARPG with market economy and with incredibly rare chase items you would known that those items start to appear literally on a day 1. And by this day, and with such online(as in D4), there would be already thousands of them. And i’m talking about incredibly rare items that you could see only one in thousands hours of gameplay.Either those droprates are buged or devs are really out of touch if this is intentional. Those droprates are nonsense, anyone whos defending them have literally no clue about ARPGs or basic math. It's not a chase item it's basically unexisted item.
Streamers seem to feel pretty entitled to get all the items. Sad.
