I awoke in the night, with visions of a woman of horrifying beauty. I could not tell if they were dreams - or something else. Over the next few days, I began to feel compelled to travel... to the east. And so I gathered my traveling companions and set off. Little did we know, we would return home more than we once were.
On March 4th 2023, the Hell's Ink Tour stopped in the hilly city of Pittsburgh to take over the
Wyld Chyld Tattoo Studio
. The first 100 people to show up got their choice of 1 of 10 tattoos for free! Passionate fans of the Diablo series from all over made their way there and withstood the freezing cold outside for 4+ hours to pay their respects to the game we all cherish. I myself got there at 6:45am and the first few people got there just before me!
I unfortunately had to leave my axe at home for this venture.
I spoke to the first two in line Ricky (left) and Adam (right) from West Virginia about what they were looking forward to in Diablo IV. They showed up at 6:30am to get there before anyone else! Thanks for talking to me for a while and keeping my mind off the cold, you guys are great!
Arktane:
So what classes are you guys looking forward to in Diablo IV?
Ricky:
Necromancer!
Adam:
Barbarian.
Arktane:
Why Necromancer?
Ricky:
It's what I started with in Diablo II. A buddy got me on there about 2003, we grinded out for almost 24 straight hours and I kind of just really liked resurrecting undead minions. Just tearin' it up.
Arktane:
Right on! Well how do you feel about the new Book of the Dead feature?
Ricky:
I haven't looked at it yet.
Arktane:
You're able to customize a lot of your minions, you can swap out your skeletal warriors for skeletal mages and things like that.
Ricky:
I'd be all about that!
Arktane:
(directed to Adam) And you're interested in Barbarian?
Adam:
I've always enjoyed the Barb. I've been a real big fan of the Spin to Win build you can do with Barbarians. Can't go wrong with it.
Arktane:
You can't go wrong with it!
Adam:
It's so good. And they've already showed it off in the D4 trailer.
Arktane:
How do you feel about the new Arsenal system with the extra weapons?
Adam:
I am excited for that, because a bunch of the weapons they've shown off look awesome.
Arktane:
I'm really looking forward to it because I think you can really combine all the different weapons to make some really interesting gameplay options with all the different legendary effects we're going to be getting.
Adam:
Yep.
Arktane:
Well thanks for sharing guys, I really appreciate it!
Ricky and Adam:

Many more brave adventurers answered the call and had banded together in groups for safety and camaraderie.
Once the doors opened and we were brought into the studio, we were met with a feast for the eyes. The entire studio was decorated with spooky red lighting and demonic decorations.
I just wish I was allowed to take one of those banners home!
I could talk to Villiv all day, they were a lot of fun.

I choose to get the tattoo of Tyrael. They have always been one of my favorite characters in the lore since their judgement is the only reason humanity survived the Sin War. Villiv did a fantastic job and it's healed up great!

After our tattoos were done, we were given a sack of the finest loot for coming out and offering our flesh as tribute. Included was a drawstring bag, 2 iron on patches, a set of 4 enamel pins, a
Hellfire Torch
, a strange black potion I dare not drink, a very high-quality shirt with a large concert tour design on the back, and a card with the early access beta key.
In the end, it was the experience of a lifetime, and there were many laughs and many smiles. I hope to see those that came in-game!
