recently reported
on discoveries within the theorycrafting community that showed Resistances as being woefully underwhelming in terms of character protection in relation to Armor, and thankfully Blizzard has been listening!

Diablo 4 Campfire Chat
, Blizzard stated that they understand Resistances are currently inferior to other damage mitigation stats. Citing the fact that they want Resistances to feel significant, Blizzard has stated that there are plans in the works for Season 2 to make the stat more desirable across the board in higher World Tiers.
While they did not get into specifics about changes that are in the works, we'll be keeping an eye out for any word on the future adjustments, and look forward to a much more varied use for our Gems!
