Diablo players have always enjoyed trading, oftentimes creating thriving, robust markets that stand the test of time (looking at you, Diablo 2!). Diablo 4 players, however, have noticed a distinct difficulty with trading in the Season of the Malignant: extreme gold inflation.

While many players have struggled to pay their Enchanting costs, others clearly don't have this issue, spending billions of gold while trading singular items. This is causing an issue for the vast majority of players - how will trading work if the average player has a few million gold, but sale prices are in the billions of gold?
Thankfully, due to the Seasonal model of Diablo 4, this issue may resolve itself for Season 2 - but for now, players will have to wait out the inflation.
