The material cost for many of the ranks is completely wrong. It’s either a typo or the values weren’t updated since the PTR. They’re much higher on live.

I thought I would contribute a little piece of information. I recently, and not after reviewing this posting, salvaged a rank 4 piece of armor I didn't wish to use and received the entire 100 Obducite I had invested into upgrading this piece back. I would definitely salvage any gear you do not intend to use on your toons to try and get back your crafting mats as it is a pain in the you know what to go to the Pit to get mats.

I would also mention I am not all that happy that the Pit only drops mats of a specific type per tier levels, 1-30 is the first material: Obducite, 31 to 60 is ONLY Ingolith and 61+ Pit dungeons ONLY gives Neathiron.

We should receive the new crafting mat PLUS the previous materials as well (scaling up). Obducite maxes at 39 pieces at Tier 30. We should receive 40 at Tier 31, 41 at Tier 32, etcetera and obviously more as we progress. Why Blizzard has stopped giving out the earlier mats when moving on to the newer ones is ridiculous because we do run alts and this makes it another time consuming grind to earn mats for other toons to use in upgrading gear with Masterworking.

** UPDATE: July 3, 2024 - I decided to try the "reset masterwork ranks" button on my Iceheart Brais unique legs that were 8/12 Masterworked. DON'T DO IT! I received crap for mats back, only 37 Obducite. I lost 100-37 = 63 Obducite, and the entire 260 Ingolith required to upgrade these pants. That equates to having to do 2 more Tier 30 Pits (as you only get a maximum of 39 Obducite at max level of Tier 30) and another 6 Pit runs at max Tier 60 (Tier 60 only gives 49 Ingolith per successful run) which is 6 x 49 = 294 Ingolith. I would suggest that if you hate having to grind out dungeons and your piece of gear is not a "super duper multiple greater affixes and awesome tempers on it piece", that you just salvage it to get back you mats.

45% is not correct since the increases are compounded.

"Masterworking can be applied to Ancestral Legendary Items with two Tempered Affixes"

How do we apply 2 Tempered Affixes to an item? So far, I've only been able to attach 1 Tempered Affix repeatdly.

With the new Season 11 gear upgrading system this is far easier to do than in prior versions of using the Blacksmith's services.

I play Eternal and so have all the mats needed to do these upgrades and I noticed one thing that still has no answer: if anyone can tell us it would be very helpful. How do you Sanctify an item in Eternal?

There are plenty of posts that say things when doing a google search to obtain a drop of something (what is the "something: called) from one of the 3 lesser evils: Duriel, Andariel, Belial or these things are dropped from fighting a world boss (is it any world boss or one in particular?) How many do they drop? Is it guaranteed or random or none? Do we have to buy the next expansion (pre-purchase) to get them? This is very unclear.

Once we get these materials, it is explained in the Seasonal aspect of how to do this Sanctification, but there is nothing like it at the Eternal realm's Blacksmith's UI. So is this a seasonal only benefit or are there steps we are not aware of yet. Is there a breadcrumb quest that needs to be done?
