Paragon Boards become available at level 50 and represent the main factor for customizing your build and class the way you want it. With a maximum of 225 points to spend, you will want to spend your points wisely. While it is possible to refund Paragon Points, it can get very expensive by the end levels, so you want to make your choices carefully from the beginning. This guide will suggest routes for the Conjuration Sorcerer to make the most of their Board, Node, and Glyph choices.

Conjuration Sorcerer Best Paragon Boards
With 225 possible points (1 at 50, 200 from leveling, 20 from Renown, and 4 from Altars of Lilith), it is physically possible to open all eight class boards. However, this means missing most of the good things these boards have to offer: Glyph sockets, the board's Legendary node, or more than one Rare node. Plus, the boards are set up so there are likely no more than 2-3 class boards you'd really want to open up anyway, so don't feel you have to rush across any of them.
All classes begin with the Start board, and then can choose to attach one of 8 class-specific boards. The Start board is the same for all members of a class and cannot be changed.
For the Conjuration Sorcerer, we will focus on five boards (Start plus four Class Boards), which we will open up in the following order:
Start Board (not optional)
Elemental Summoner
Enchantment Master
Burning Instinct
Frigid Fate
This setup also uses the following Paragon Glyphs:
The strategy we will be presenting isn't prescriptive -- we are presenting a general roadmap to get you through the highlights, but aren't going to give node by node assignments for every Normal node as well.
This is because due to your gearing, you may need more or less of one trait to empower Glyphs or Rare nodes and may need to invest in areas where another player may not need to do so. There has to remain some flexibility in Paragon assignments to take your own personal needs into account.

This doesn't cover all 225 available points -- this shows the general pathing you'll take to get to all of the important Legendary, Rare, and Glyph nodes, as well as any stat nodes you'll need to select to empower the chosen Glyphs. You can assign remaining points to pick up desirable Magic nodes or to get necessary stats to open Additional Bonuses.
Sorcerer Start Board
All Sorcerers start with the same Start board, with four Rare nodes, sixteen Magic nodes, and one Glyph socket. You will need to cross through a minimum of two Rare nodes to reach the Board Attachment Gate at the top.
Use your best available Glyph on this board, at least until you open the Glyph spot on your first (and likely best) Class board. Since Glyphs can be unsocketed and re-used, you will want to use it here while you must, but later you'll move it to a board when you have more invested there. The Rare nodes in particular tend to be much better on your first Class board.
The Start board has two offensive and two defensive Rare nodes. The most straight line to the Board Attachment Gate uses 17 Paragon points and crosses directly through one of each type; if you want two of the same type (both offensive or defensive), you'll need to spend an extra 2 points to make that cross.
You should path through the two Rare nodes on the Start board on your way to the Board Attachment Gate:
Since we use all three elements, +% to non-physical damage is the most efficient way to boost all of our skills at once. Take every non-physical damage node available, both rare and magic. You'll want to do this not only on the starter board but on other boards to follow.
Sorcerer Start Board Best Paragon Glyph
For Start, we recommend using the following Paragon Glyph:
This is the best glyph for the starter board for two reasons: First, we want the 20% conjuration skill duration bonus early on. It makes a major difference for our overall conjuration uptime. Second, the starter board has 70 INT within glyph radius -- a fully leveled Conjurer glyph with all INT nodes gives us 185% damage to conjuration skills.
If this Glyph is not available, you can use a different Glyph in the meantime. However, don't invest a great deal into building out the placeholder Glyph's requirements if you're not planning to keep it in that slot.
Elemental Summoner Board
The best first board for the Conjuration Sorcerer is the
Elemental Summoner
board. This board has it all - a perfect legendary node for the build along with some great rare node options. Taking this board first will provide a significant damage boost early on, making leveling beyond lvl 50 much easier.
Since we'll have all three conjuration skills equipped, we fully maximize the CDR/mana reduction bonuses. A 15% CDR will shave a few seconds from your Lightning Spear and Ice Blades wait times. The 15% mana cost reduction for Hydra is nice to have as well, especially if you are casting two at a time with the Serpentine Aspect.
Turning the Elemental Summoner Board
Don't turn this board. Hit the legendary node from the left side on your way up to the glyph socket.
Elemental Summoner Rare Node Priority
The Rare nodes on this board should be prioritized in this order:
Note that the only reason we take Erudite is because it's the most efficient path toward the two WILL magic nodes that we need to boost our glyph. May as well take the extra resistance and INT on our way there since it doesn't waste additional points. You may choose to either head right toward Keeper of the Elements immediately after or wait until much later to head that direction.
Elemental Summoner Best Paragon Glyph
For Elemental Summoner, we recommend using the following Paragon Glyph:
Frozen enemies count as chilled, making Frostbite a great choice for mopping up enemies who are affected by Frost Nova. In addition, the post-freeze damage reduction will help us against Elites and other enemies with high life that survive the Arc Lash beatdown while frozen. This glyph goes best with our Elemental Summoner board due to the board's increased WILL points within glyph radius.
Elemental Summoner Gate to Next Board
You'll be heading to the Board Attachment Gate at the top of the board. After picking up , take as direct a route as you can to this gate. Alternatively, you can circle back to if you really want the non-physical damage before moving on to the next board.
Enchantment Master
The best second board for the Conjuration Sorcerer is the
Enchantment Master
board. We want to head here next because this board has 3 non-physical damage rare nodes near the glyph socket. We are using the board, but not the Legendary node.
would be nice to have if it didn't require us to go 14 nodes out of our way to get it. The boost to our Enchantments does not justify investing the additional points; you will be fine without it.
Turning the Enchantment Master Board
Turn the board so that the node, node and the glyph socket are closest to the board attachment gate.
Enchantment Master Rare Node Priority
The Rare nodes on this board should be prioritized in this order:
The first three selections are self-explanatory. Once again, we only take the Erudite node for practical reasons - we need the +INT to meet the glyph requirement, we have to pass it on our way to the next board anyway, and the +% resistance receives a bonus from our chosen glyph.
Enchantment Master Best Paragon Glyph
For Enchantment Master, we recommend using the following Paragon Glyph:
The stacking damage bonuses from each element is a perfect fit for our Hydra/Lightning Spear/Ice Blades combination. This glyph pairs nicely with the Enchantment Master board because of its bonus to non-physical damage and DR modifiers to nodes within range (up to 75% bonus at lvl 21). This will almost double the bonus you receive from and .
Enchantment Master Gate to Next Board
You'll be heading to the Board Attachment Gate on the right side of the board. After picking up , take as direct a route as you can to this gate.
Burning Instinct
The best third board for the Conjuration Sorcerer is the
Burning Instinct
board. Thanks to our Hydras, we can capitalize on many of the "against burning enemies" modifiers on this board. However, although we use the board, we're not going for the Legendary node.
There are a few reasons why we don't take this legendary node . First, we must go at least 12 nodes out of our way to reach it. Also, remember that Hydra's extra burning damage is not very high - we only choose the burning effect in order to take advantage of "against burning enemies" passives that boost our other forms of damage. We don't care about the burning damage itself, so this legendary node is not worth it.
Turning the Burning Instinct Board
Turn the board so that the glyph socket is in the upper left corner of the board. This is the fastest way to the glyph.
Burning Instinct Rare Node Priority
The Rare nodes on this board should be prioritized in this order:
We want many of the "against burning enemies" nodes since our Hydras keep most enemies on screen in a constant state of burning. Although the bonus requirements will be a little higher since this is our 4th board, a little bit of +stats from gear will definitely put you over the top. The order of the first two does not matter since you will take them both in quick succession after taking the glyph socket. Taking Kindling before Safeguard is a slightly more efficient path. Safeguard may not be "against burning enemies" like the others, but DR and Armor are mandatory at higher levels if you don't want to be one-shotted over and over again.
Burning Instinct Best Paragon Glyph
For Burning Instinct, we recommend using the following Paragon Glyph:
This is a fantastic glyph since the Conjuration Sorcerer spends so much time using Arc Lash against CC'ed enemies. Arc Lash, Lightning Spear and Frost Nova will ensure you get the 20% additional damage bonus often.
The downside to this glyph is that it requires DEX instead of INT; therefore, we must combine it with the Burning Instinct board's 49 DEX within glyph radius. This may not seem like much DEX, but it is tied for the highest amount compared to every other board. Take what you can get.
Burning Instinct Gate to Next Board
We will not be using the Burning Instinct Board to attach to another board. Instead, you'll want to circle back to the Elemental Summoner board, heading right toward the node and exiting that direction.
Frigid Fate Board
The best final board for the Conjuration Sorcerer is the
Frigid Fate
board. We take this for the +% damage to Vulnerable enemies nodes and the +70 INT glyph socket. But again, we're using the board, but not its Legendary node.
After maximizing the glyph for this board, we simply won't have enough points left to take without sacrificing important nodes elsewhere. It's not a bad legendary node given the Conjuration Sorcerer's reliance on lucky hit; however, late in the game you will have enough lucky hit bonuses from other sources that this additional node becomes unnecessary and not worth the point investment.
Turning the Frigid Fate Board
Turn the board so that the rare node is in the bottom left corner.
Frigid Fate Rare Node Priority
The Rare nodes on this board should be prioritized in this order:
Our Frost Nova modifier means that enemies spend a considerable amount of time vulnerable. Take on the way to the glyph socket, then take for the vulnerable damage bonus and the INT to satisfy the glyph requirement/bonus. should be taken last only for the +INT to boost our glyph. With Frigid Fate being our fifth board, it is unlikely that you will meet the stat requirements for the rare node bonuses.
Frigid Fate Best Paragon Glyph
For Frigid Fate, we recommend using the following Paragon Glyph:
Frigid Fate gives us 70 INT within glyph radius, so we certainly want to take a glyph that benefits from +INT. Enchanter is one of the few remaining glyphs that makes sense here. The resistance bonus is unremarkable, but the non-physical damage bonus makes this glyph worth taking. A maxed glyph and 70 INT will give us almost 100% more non-physical damage. What more could you ask for?
Next Paragon Board Steps for Conjuration Sorcerer
Depending on how direct you've been, you may have many points left over, or you may have almost none.
Once you've picked up your last Rare node on Frigid Fate - , the first thing you should do is go back and look at your Rare nodes and Glyphs to see what else you need to invest in to make the most of their bonuses. You may wish to spend some of those points filling out any missing stats to make sure you've empowered those as much as you can.
