This Endgame Build Guide for the Blight Minions Necromancer in Diablo 4 presents the build's strengths and weaknesses, active and passive skills, and the Book of the Dead class mechanic to help you master all types of content. We also cover the latest Gear, Paragon Boards and Glyphs, and the latest Seasonal Mechanic, fully updated for Season 4.
Blight Minions brings the powerful combination of both a Shadow Summoner Necromancer, and a Pure Summoner Necromancer all into one with a plethora of different multiplicative damage sources such as or . When utilized correctly this build becomes a monster in damage as well as achieving high Immunity uptime and speed running functionality. It even comes with a unique gameplay flow being coined as a "Wombo Combo" since enemies will constantly be locked down and getting slammed over and over again until they are gone.
For the previous version of the build - you'll find it

Blight Minions Necromancer Overview in Diablo 4 Season 4
General burst rotation and Pit pushing. No Holy Elixir.
High risk, yet high reward makes the Blight Minions Necromancer a beast when it comes to dealing high damage quickly. It can require some slight setup, yet despite situational setup being required at points - it's incredibly easy to pull off and is generally reserved for the strongest groups of enemies. No matter if it's a Boss, or a tough group of Elites - this build has it covered, being able to dispatch anything that strolls into its path quickly.
Effects of Patch 1.4.3 for Blight Minions Endgame
There isn't much to mention here however, we did receive a buff through increasing the damage offers. No nerfs which is nice meaning we come out of this patch slightly stronger than before. No news is good news when you're standing at the tippy top of the mountain.
Strengths and Weaknesses for Blight Minions Necromancer
One of the largest Strengths for the Blight Minions Necromancer is the ability to begin leveling with it, then transition smoothly into the Endgame version without needing to redo the entire build. This allows the build to easily be understood and become mastered without having to retrain a player's muscle memory, or being forced to stop gameplay to adjust the build. More time focusing on clearing enemies means more fun. It's also rather simple to play, but can also become a somewhat high skill build depending on the user's wants and desires. It can perform exceptionally well for any flavor of the rainbow.

Blight Minions Necromancer Skills in Diablo 4 Season 4
Blight Minions carries the ability to be a monstrous AoE Damage dealer whilst also having the capabilities to demolish strong single-target enemies such as Bosses in seconds. With high Cooldown Reduction enabling an insane amount of crowd control - this build boasts huge damage and safety all the same. And when our skills combine together, our Wombo Combo begins. Locked down, blasted, and kept locked down deletes all who oppose it.
Necromancer Skills Overview
Blight Minions Necromancer Skill Tree
The Standard Endgame Build for Blight Minions Necromancer is the build you'll be using most of the time for a wide variety of content -- Tree of Whispers, Helltides, dungeons, and most other normal activities.
Blight Minions Necromancer Rotation
The Blight Minions Necromancer follows a somewhat strict rotation that revolves around keeping track of your buffs, then blowing everything up as well as managing to watch what is happening around you. When playing more casually, however, it's a relaxing breeze as with only two of the listed buttons one can essentially walk through everything. This does change dramatically when pushing difficult content but, that's part of the beauty.
- Should always be our first ability cast.
- Followed right after, let it run until a Corpse has formed.
- Big damage button, used once buffs are lined up or on cooldown during AoE.
- Used to gather Elites or stagger bosses, generally right after is done.
- Keep the buff effect activated.
- Our main damage source and burst button. Use it after all buffs have stacked.
Blight Minions Necromancer Active Skills
This section describes the Active skills you'll be taking for this build, along with any modifiers.
Decrepify
(1/5)
Curse
Modifiers:
Decrepify should always be kept active since it not only enables multiple damage-increasing passives, but also immediately applies crowd control in the form of Slowed with a chance to stun enemies. This is also our way to lower our cooldowns rapidly, allowing it to enable the build and thus where our Wombo Combo is allowed to function. Get into the habit of applying it the second you engage enemies.
It also will tell your Minions to attack something when you're not already in combat, however, the usefulness of this is rare and does not work once you are already in combat.
Corpse Tendrils
(1/5)
Corpse & Macabre
Modifiers:
Corpse Tendrils play a vital role in our gameplay as it pulls and stuns everything it touches, saving our Minions lives... and ours. For Elites, you're going to want to use Corpse Tendrils the second you get a Corpse. This is the first step in our "Wombo Combo" since part of the combo is gathering things up, then blasting them whilst our cooldowns rapidly tick down.
Blood Mist
(1/5)
Corpse & Macabre
Modifiers:
Blood Mist is the reason we're able to push high tiers in things such as The Pit with relative ease since we have such high cooldown reduction enabling us to avoid deadly mechanics. Although on Single-Target fights we still need to time our usage since it becomes harder to reduce Blood Mists cooldown.
Raise Skeleton
Summoning
Raise Skeleton's first usage is to simply summon your Skeletal minions. The other is a buff which gives them healing but also a damage increase, something you want to make sure is active constantly. Above the Raise Skeletons icon on your skill bar - you will see a green bar telling you if the buff is active or not. Luckily it has an incredibly quick casting animation so it won't slow down the flow of gameplay.
We use Raise Skeletons in order to activate quickly.
Golem
Summoning
Our Golem is able to stack to incredible damaging heights with huge multipliers. Once all of our buffs are activated such as and , using its ability will completely decimate enemies in a second.
Golem also applies Unstoppable to us.
Army of the Dead
Ultimate
Army of the Dead is our huge "melt this" button that should be activated ideally when all of our buffs are stacked such as and . On Single-Target it should be delayed somewhat to line things up perfectly, on AoE it's best used when all of our buffs are active however our Cooldowns are coming up so quickly on AoE encounters it's typically better to be used off Cooldown.
Blight Minions Necromancer Passive Skills
Passive skills are important for tying a build together, as well as building on the synergies for the Blight Minions Necromancer build.
Unliving Energy
(1/3)
Core
Just one point to reach the next bracket of skills and passives.
Hewed Flesh
(3/3)
Core
We use Corpses non-stop which makes this passive a requirement to max out.
Skeletal Warrior Mastery
(3/3)
Corpse & Macabre
Our Warriors will be taking a lot of damage, and will also be dishing it back out all the same. This passive helps on both fronts.
Grim Harvest
(1/3)
Corpse & Macabre
We hardly use Essence so this passive is taken so we may benefit from the next one.
Fueled By Death
(3/3)
Corpse & Macabre
This passive will constantly be activated, making it a nice boost in damage.
Death's Embrace
(3/3)
Curse
We're lacking in tankiness, this passive is one of the few options we have making it an instant max take.
Death's Approach
(3/3)
Curse
A little speed is sometimes just what the doctor ordered.
Amplify Damage
(3/3)
Curse
Another massive multiplicative damage increase.
Skeletal Mage Mastery
(3/3)
Curse
Our Mages are built around and will be dealing a ton of our damage so this passive is a must to be maxxed.
Necrotic Carapace
(3/3)
Corpse & Macabre
With a way to Fortify, we gain another source of Damage Reduction.
Reaper's Pursuit
(1/3)
Corpse & Macabre
What's fun without a little speed? We're slow, and this helps out with that.
Gloom
(3/3)
Corpse & Macabre
Perhaps our most beneficial passive for our build, it's simply too strong to not have.
Terror
(3/3)
Corpse & Macabre
Another multiplicative damage increase with a bit more conditional requirements.
Crippling Darkness
(1/3)
Corpse & Macabre
Whilst not always the most consistent, this passive does activate semi-often making it very nice, especially for filling a boss's stagger bar.
Golem Mastery
(3/3)
Ultimate
The other star of our show - Golem. They'll be dishing out a ton of our damage too.
Inspiring Leader
(3/3)
Ultimate
Crit Chance and Crit Damage are both incredibly valuable to our build.
Hellbent Commander
(3/3)
Ultimate
Close is a finicky condition, and is much farther than one might anticipate. Our Mages tend to swarm in a tight circle near our targets allowing us to benefit from this passive in the most important encounters - typically Bosses.
Bonded in Essence
(1/3)
Ultimate
The benefit this provides is enough to take a single point, yet not enough to fully commit 3.
Shadowblight
(1/1)
Key Passives
Shadowblight is a passive we're able to activate quite often and provides a sizeable damage increase for having to do our normal gameplay. It is the only real option here since the others simply do not provide as much benefit as Shadowblight.
Blight Minions Necromancer High-Tier Pit
This build functions perfectly well within high-tier Nightmare Dungeons, although it becomes significantly more reactive. Below we have listed some tips and advice to farm this difficult content comfortably.
Blight Minions Necromancer High-Tier Pit Tips
Here you'll find advice on how to survive some of the most dangerous content in the game.
Take things slow. Run forward until you can see the enemies then cast so your Minions engage.
Immediately cast when you see Elites. Time your duration, then cast .
Try to keep track of stacks. At 10, enables. You will also need to track stacks. Once both are active - use your and . This is your burst and main way to deal with Bosses and Elites quickly.
Don't rush on Bosses. Focus on the mechanics coming out, rather than your burst buffs. If you get touched once, you will die. Survival at all costs.
At about 60-50% health they begin another phase where more mechanics come out - generally Lillith shenanigans. Be ready for this. Watch the health bar, then prepare. It will take trial and error to memorize what is about to come out.
Save your buff stacks, and cooldowns if the Boss is about to stagger, then blow them up.

Absolute crap. I was using this as a guide, but then OP decided to completely upend it, and change everything about it, with no way for us to view what it originally was, instead of just making a new build. !@#$ me & anyone else that was following the original build I guess, right?
