Uber Diablo, aka the Diablo Clone, is a special event boss which spawns after selling a random number between 80 and 125 Stones of Jordan in online games on the same Battle.net server, and although that high number of unique rings was required to combat rampant duping in the original Diablo II, the system has remained in place for Resurrected. While this harder version of Diablo is no longer the most difficult boss in the game, the real challenge in guaranteeing a spawn like this is getting so many stones together and selling them across the same server.
Once enough rings are sold, the screen will shake and the message "Diablo Walks the Earth" will appear, indicating that Uber Diablo will now spawn in place of the first Super Unique monster encountered within the game. Because the Clone spawns in
every
active Hell difficulty game running on that server, rather than just the game in which the last Stone of Jordan is sold, players can coordinate this by looking up IP and server information, then creating games until enough players happen to land on the same server. This makes spawning the Clone a community event, where players will pool their stones together and coordinate a time to sell them in order to ensure that a greater number of players can get onto the same Battle.net server in order to fight the boss.
All of this effort is well rewarded though, as the Diablo Clone drops a single Annihilus Charm per game. Increasing skills, attributes, resistances, and experience gain, the unique small charm is highly sought after and, along with the Hellfire Torch obtained from the Uber Tristram event, is a regular part of any endgame build.

For those of you playing offline and therefore not able to benefit from the resources of an entire community, the summoning plays out a little differently. While the event was ladder only in the original game, and therefore not available to offline players without the use of mods, Diablo II: Resurrected has ladder features such as special Runewords and Uber bosses enabled for everyone, with the Diablo Clone spawned for the low price of just one Stone of Jordan - somewhat offset by the requirement of actually finding it on your own.
