Well, at least it's another way to use a Zod rune! Doesn't seem all that insane though, given the high cost of it.

Good direction but wayyyyy undertuned. Clearly not enough to justify the rarity of a Zod and fill two item slots. Just compare this to a low budget spirit sword+shield combination: +4 all skills, 70fcr, 110fhr, 44 vitality, 200 Mana, 35cr/lr/pr. So you basically get some more res and a small hp bonus, while missing out on 10fcr, 50fhr and a sh*tton of mana, which will raise your mana regeneration by roughly the same amount as a side effect. And well...25% chance to cast weaken on hit? Youre not getting meleed regularly when going for maxvit, so this proc is nonsense. Imho the useful mods need a fairly substantial upgrade and well, a proc that at least has some sort of usefulness to it.
Its not really worth making it, no aura, nothing really usefull that we don't already have for much cheaper
a +4 2h?thats a joke.any caster owuld run a +2/3 1h and then a +skill shield liek Spirit before wasting the ruens on that thing.
This runeword will be really good for sorceresses, competitive with 1H + spirit combos for two reasons:First white staves can spawn with up to three +3 class skills so the base could be :+ 3 lightning mastery+3 lightning+3 chain lightningIf you add that to the +4 all skills, it will be more damage than any +5 skill given by a spirit + hoto / Ocu.Then you will not need to increase your strength to 156 for the monarch requirement. So it will leave you plenty of stats to spend on vita.
Looking at this from a fire sorc perspective, it is better than Hoto + Spirit, assuming you have a decent base (just +3 fire ball is good enough, fire mastery/energy shield/fire bolt/meteor are extra goodies).Pros:+7 main skill, +4 other skills vs. +5 all skillsSimilar resists (actually more, since spirit has no fire)65 fcr is perfect to hit 105 breakpoint with arach and magefists5% more fhr15-25% max life and 10 vita will give you way more hp than spirit's 22 vitaOther bonuses: 30mf, lvl 10 weaken when struck, up to 30% mana regen, no need for 156 strengthCons:You lose some mana (15% from Hoto, 89-112 flat from Spirit vs. 10 energy on staff)You lose 1 to any skill not on your staff baseThe pros easily outweigh the cons IMO.
