I have some trouble to find a pet to love

Kommentar von XeroStaticFlux

Month 1 (February 2023)
*The Merchants are self evident
*The Mannequins are to the right of the Trading post, displaying some of the available items.
*The pet is "Garrlok", When facing the merchants he is on the left side standing on a crate
*The mount is "Celestial Steed" in the Stables behind the trading post

For me the quest progress was 2/4 and then went down to 1 even after I shared lots of my awesome Kul Tiran love around. It wasn't until I showed the Celestial Steed some love that the quest actually completed. Have fun all completing your quests for your shinies <3

Easy macro

/target
/love

Kommentar von OldSubSailor

I target the steed but regardless of the number of time I try it, I can not get the quest to complete. /love worked on everything else.

Kommentar von Pandalones

Even with targeting, I can't find Garlock or the Celestial Steed in Org.

When this activity was first posted in February of 2023, the available Trading Post mount was the Celestial Steed, and the available Trading Post pet was Garrlok. That's why targeting (or attempting to target) the Celestial Steed and/or Garrlok won't do anything.

As far as the pet goes, it seems to be bugged out right now (February 2024) and the pet is invisible. If this happens, just do /target pet ... an invisible NPC named "pet" will show up and then you can do /love on it. (Once this is no longer bugged, the proper way to complete this will be to find the currently available pet on display at the Trading Post, and then do /love on that instead.)

As far as the mount, simply go to the Trading Post stables, click on one of the currently-available mounts and do /love; any one of them on display will complete the requirement.

The "Reittier" NPC is actually just a placeholder and the name alternates to match whatever the current trading post display is set to. The Mannequins and Haustiers work the same way.

Note for hunters with the current bug to this task: before you /tar the (currently bugged and invisible) pet at the trading post to /love it for completion, be sure to dismiss your actual hunter pet first. Otherwise, you will only be able to target your active pet... at least until this gets fixed and puts the actual display pet up at the Trading Post. I suspect other pet classes have this issue, but I can't confirm that.

Kommentar von Pandalones

For those who can't find Garrlock, you can /love the little bug pets that are on display, and /love the fox mount in the stable.

Kommentar von Sittingdown

As Garrlok is *ahem* bugged out, use:
/tar bug
/love

This will get the pet love part of the activity.
