go into Strom, up hill, turn right, go into Ally side. Make way thru ally village turnignright, go across bridge. Prince ,Galem Trollbane drops the sigil. He's in a church looking thing at 28,58

Prince hits very hard. Quest was yellow for me at level 40, but the prince himself is actually 44. I suggest bringing heals.

Just as an aside there is a way to sneak into the ally area without going through their front door. Looking at Stromgarde from the front, go up to the gate and go right along the front wall. Just around the corner is a break in the wall. Bingo your in their town.

Soloed this one as a lvl 40 rogue. Even though Galem Trollbane is lvl 44 he was an easy kill. He has two lvl 39 surrounding him, I sapped one and dealt with the other after killing Trollbane and then vanished just as sap broke.

The adds can be pulled out of the door without pulling the Prince. I suggest doing this and then concentrating on the main one. Solo'd this as a 39 Affliction lock

I solo'd this as a 37 combat rogue. I know people get tired of hearing about the amazing feats of rogues, but this truly was amazing.

I cleared the area after the bridge, and before the chapel. I distracted the Prince, sapped him and drew the two vindicators outside. Killing them, the Prince came to. I killed the last one and vanished at about 30 hp, was a little intense.

The actual fight with the Prince was pretty straight-forward. I ambushed, and just built up combo for eviscerate. I popped one greater healing potion, and gouged once to use a mageweave bandage (well half of one). I defeated him with about 100 health remaining.

It's too bad there's no reward for rogues for this quest.

38 ench well geared shaman. Started with mace and shield until he'd sundered my armor to 0.

A bit challenging. It'd gotten him down to 200, at which point he ran. And unfortunately respawns had come. Thankfully I got an earth shock hit on him, looted him, then died.

quite possible the most aggrivating quest to solo at average level. yes, he hits like a bus and is an orange-red mob, but the respawns around him are insane, so be ready to pull him pretty soon after the last mob in the yard is dead. and hes a runner to boot! make sure youre prepared to stop him by the time he hits 20%

Was a very easy solo as lvl bm 39 hunter. Mend pet once at start of fight and ended fight with both of us at full health.

The hard part was finding the guy. Once you go into stromgarde keep turn right then you'll find stromgarde humanoids, kill them and walk in just a few yards, and turn right then right again accross the bridge. From there-on-out it's easy and straight forward, he's just up ahead. Pull the guards outside if you're afraid of aggroing him if you run in.

I soloed this at lvl 39 as a protection Blood Elf Paladin, I managed to pull his two guards and then went after him after I healed, his aggro radius is very low compared to the guards.

Solo'd on my 37 druid.
Cat form + Prowl to get to the chapel. Pounced one guard, dps'd down. The remaining guard agroed along with the Prince. So I healed up but was getting hit so hard (2nd guard enraged) and often that I would've died, so I ran to the bridge and jumped off; the NPCs do not follow.
I ran back (Cat+Prowl) and killed the remaining guard and the Prince.

EDIT: why am I downrated. It's good to know that you can jump off the bridge and leash the NPCs.
I should add that you can also jump-climb back up the bridge without having to run around the yard.

There is a shortcut into Stromgarde in the NW corner of the castle leading into the Alliance area. There is a crack in the corner of the wall that you can jump through. This allows you to skip killing about 5 or 6 guards on your way in.

From this point, angle left and go across the bridge and you are at the chapel.
When you attack the prince, you will aggro 2 of his guards aswell, so be prepared.

$%^& easy as lvl 40 rogue. sap one guard, kill prince with evasion, blade fury and adrenaline rush. Guard and prince down at 80% health.

Soloed as a lvl 38 prot pally....

Popped ALL cooldowns (including Lay on Hands) and killed him with 300 life left.

I figured out that using bombs made from engineering works like a charm because they do full dmg, unlike my melee hits which hit for like 10 each...

Soloed as a lvl 38 rogue,
instant poison III on both weps, easy kill just put expose armor up, had to use evasion but no other problems, got 800+ hp left without using any healing potions

there is another way inn. if you just go to the bridge. on the left side there is a tree and statue. you need to jump inn the middle of them and the wall. if you didnt make it on first try just try it again. you get in comabt when you entre the bridge. and you need mount to come up

ok most of you post directions not well, here is better one

crack wall: If you go through the crack wall, turn left and cross the bridge and you will fine him

main gate: go through under the bridge, turn right on first intersection, then kind of 90 degree right turn then across the bridge.

Soloed as a level 38 rogue, kind of a hard one in my opinion, but if you mix and match hemmorhage, sinister strike, and ghostly strike, it makes a lethal combo.

LOl i did this quest when i was lv 45 as a druid. Was preety eay but i had trouble finding the bridge. well first i punced one of the guards then galen and the other guard attacked me. I kille done guard then the other guard got *!@#ed at me for killing his fried went into a fury, killed him then i used antures grasp which entangled galen. I healed then tad i killed him

the best thing probably about this quest is if u get a ton of agro then u can just run out, jump off of the bridge and run out, and they wont chase you

Just soloed with my lvl 38 Retri Pala. I used everything such as divine shield, pot, lay on hands. When he was under 200 hp he try to run away. What a pity :P

if you're a 41 ret pally, try standing outside the door to aggro the guard. I did this aggroing one, but the other one aggro'd and in turn aggro'd the boss. Just keep laying on Judgement of light and consecration and he should be gone in no time. He does like to run too :)

easily done as a level 39 fury warrior. you can clear all the adds outside one by one and only the two guards with Trollbane are linked. After that nuke Trollbane on his own.

Soloed as 39 enhance shammy with mostly crappy gear (mostly WC/SFK blues) except for the heirloom Herod's shoulder...took a few minutes once i did get to trollbane but just kept up water shield and SoE,WF, Mana spring and flame totem and cycled earth shock and a healing wave...pretty easy. I was able to pull one of the interior guards solo but the other one pulled trollbane when i attacked him other than that no surprises.

i tried him at 38 (warlock) and all my spells missed and i ran out of mana. it was pretty easy up to that. i kept thinking the next dot will connect...nope i died.

I tried following the directions given by other users and none of them worked for me, I suggest to just enter and as soon as you see the name of he place keep going, you will then pass a bridge (look above you make sure you see the bridge) at 26,57. Keep going and at 25,59 make a right. At 23,60 make a right again. Another right at 23,58. just keep going and you will find him exactly AT 28,58 GOOD LUCK. I hope the directions help because I had a very hard time trying to find him.

just soloed this as lvl 36 druid just cat form prowl agroed guards two at a time then took on 44 guy heal pots and spells got me thru pretty easy

I completed this as a 36 hunter but the fight was long and hard. Used one greater healing potion because I pulled two guards and Galen at the same time. Killed one guard at a time (pet had Galen and 1 guard aggroed while I took down the first guard). Killed second guard and then finally killed Galen. I feigned death twice to get Galen off me and back to my pet before killing him.

It was a fun quest because it was kind of a hard fight for me. If you take Galen just by himself, the quest is ridiculously easy. Even at level 36.

Shortcut: Once you go into the main entrance and you see the bridge going overhead. Walk into the corner of right wall and the bridge. Now face the tree and jump up it.

I soloed this easy as a lvl 40 combat rogue, with points in sub for improved stealth. Used a few pieced of BoA gear, but nothing fancy.

Killed the mobs out front, and then cleared the mobs inside. Waiting for my CDs to be off, stealthed.. waited for him to turn around, stunned him, then blew evasion. He went down really fast. lol I was surprised at how easy it was.

Soloed as a 33 level protection warrior on first try.

Dressed in heirlooms + Blues from dungeons, a mug of beer in my hand and a wish for a bit of challenge - cleared the yard by pulling the mobs one by one (or linked pairs) to the bridge.
The key element was not to waste any time as the above comments state the re spawn did happen before the fight with Trollbane ended.

Pulling him to the bridge ensured that none of the respawns was pulled.

A big thanks to all the commenters on this thread who made this fun encounter possible.

P.S. Yes, got out of there by the hair of my teeth, but hey :)

Beschreibung

The final of the sigils needed to unlock the tomb of Thoras Trollbane is held by his son personally. He resides deep within Stromgarde, in a chapel in the militia-held districts. Prince Galen is well protected and no slouch of a warrior himself, so this task could prove most difficult.
