Can drop the Phiole mit Tka'ktaths Blut which leads onto a very grindy quest chain that eventually awards the Siesbarg mount.

Kommentar von EctobiusRex

For anyone running into him super early in the xpac, he's very kite-able so you can solo him on most classes if you're patient enough

Kommentar von leowow

The bad thing is the spawn timer is huge i have been many hours waiting for it to spawn and didnt. I went to a delv then i checked again and its body was dead on the ground. They should low its spawn timer.

Kommentar von wolffz

anyone have a idea of respawn timer?

Kommentar von alsulf

Ok so after almost 5-6 hours camping it spawned i was with around 8 ppl in the group 7 ppl got it seems to be high chance to drop

Kommentar von Mightyowll

FYI I saw the rare today at 10:46 and then at 17:07, so yeah the spawn timer is around 6 hours probably. GL!

Kommentar von Vessel7351

I believe he has a 10 hour respawn time according to rare scanner he was last seen 10 hours ago before he appeared on my screen although sadly i didn't get the vial .

Kommentar von HidekiDeer

Camped with a friend for 6+ hours.

Both of us got the Item, Before the mob spawned an area wide message stating;
"The shadow of a hungering beast moves over the city"
Boss takes a while to fly in after the area wide message is announced allowing time for players to gather.

Kommentar von TynaVan

Camped for 5.5 hours. Then got randomly phased to a different server :/

Kommentar von splitrift

5.5 hours waiting staring at this island, another in my phase was here for 7 hours apparently. Had a full raid group and most if not all had gotten the quest drop. GL future adventures, might be better off occasionally checking group finder instead of waiting.

Just my quick notes on Siesbarg

It is a mount which is rewarded after a quest-chain. The starter-item Phiole mit Tka'ktaths Blut is dropped by Tka'ktath in Azj-Kahet on top of a big Platform.

/way #2255 63 66 Tka'ktath

Tka'ktath is quite tanky, has a long respawn and I'd recommend doing him in a group, everyone in the group, even a Raid can loot the item it is personal loot.
So if it is up help your fellow grinders out and open a Custom Group with "Tka'ktath UP" and get as many people in as possible.
After acquiring the Questitem it will send you to Shalba. IMPORTANT: The NPC will only talk to you once you have reached a certain Point in the Mainstory-Line in Azj-Kahet with Die Durchtrennten Fäden, it should enable you to talk to many Nerubians in the City. (I don't know the specific Main Story Quest necessary).

/way #2213 45.2 13.6 Shalba
Quest 1: Das sind Chitinworte
I recommend going to the Isle of Dorn and grind the Nerub there they can hyperspawn and have a chance to drop Knisternder Splitter. This spot is best used in a group.
/way #2248 45 59 Nerubian Spawn
Grind 1500 Nerubisches Chitin and get back to Shalba.

Some commenters also recommended going Solo-Follower dungeons as an alternative for the Dorn-Groupfarm.

Quest 2: Toxin ist die beste Medizin
Same procedure as Quest 1, just grind 1000 Nerubisches Toxin and get back to Shalba.

Someone recommended farming Khak'ik&Rhak'ik for this step it is a Rare Duo. The drop-rate is supposed to be quite high, and they are soloable.
/way #2255 44.0 30.4 Khak'ik & Rhak'ik

Quest 3: Ein kleiner Ozean voll Blut
This one was a bit trickier to grind, you need 500 Blut der Neruber, which only drop from Ascended Nerubians and Skyrazors. I tested multiple strategies, most ended up being very slow (Northern Azj-Kahet, in the City of Threads, Dungeonfinder).
The by FAR best strategy was doing Ara-Kara, Stadt der Echos as a Solo-FOLLOWER Dungeon, kill all the mobs you can find it should yield you between 50-120 Blut der Neruber per run.

After you collected the items, bring them back to Shalba, after that you will have a short walk behind their house and get your beautiful mount!

I hope I was able to help you out with this awesome Mount!

Please correct me if I did any mistakes or you have better proposals.

I was able to down him in about 10 minutes by going to his island and looking for "Tka" in the group finder. Found two different groups that were "Tka up now!" joined one and killed him right away.

Kommentar von shr3kin

IMHO, the best way is to find a group (custom). I found a very quick group for it and got loot for the quest.

Kommentar von burytheliving89

I just downed him with a 40-man raid on Zuljin-US as of 11:20 PM realm time. Based on what other people posted, I timed his death from server start where people camped him and insta-killed him. We were waiting for a window of 6-10 hour respawn, but he respawned 11 hours and 20 minutes later. This means he either previously spawned prior to the 6 hour timer and we missed it, or that it is not a 6-10 hour window. Hope this helps!

Kommentar von Bambunas

my question is... Is there a daily log out ? Or did someone do the kill multiple times on his char and get it than ?

Kommentar von nickray

Anyone loot with level 70?

Kommentar von susfishcious

Tka'Ktath seems to spawn on reset. When the servers came back from maintenance today, multiple groups on group finder popped up for him! I'm unsure if it's daily or weekly reset since this was post maintenance but something to keep in mind if you're looking for a guaranteed time he'll spawn.

Kommentar von woroworu

For anyone wondering, you do not have to have the all the Campaign quests complete to get the Vial of Tka'ktath's Blood.

I got the Vial at level 80, but currently doing the Campaign quests in Hallowfall (Currently only a few quests in).

You however cannot do the quest, because the Nerubian's in the City of Threads are either hostile or not interactable.

Kommentar von Saphemeral

Killed on WrA at about 8:04 PM realm time. No Vial drop for my 75 character, got it earlier on my lvl 80 though.

Kommentar von Dorfie

"The shadow of a hungering beast moves over the city" was shouted in general chat at 5am server time for me, it then took Tka 4 mins to land approximately.

Formed a raid group and we all got the item to drop, so no issues there if in a raid group.
Was 7 of us all 575-580ilvl, the hunter had his pet tank Tka, none of us took any damage. Pretty easy tbh.

Happy hunting all.

Tka'ktath spawned after 7hrs and 10 mins. Spawned at 20:10 AEST (so it doesn't appear to spawn on the hour or half hour), could've been longer as I wasn't there for the previous kill.

Renown level 8 across all factions for TWW. Announcement came and then roughly 30 - 45 seconds after the announcement he flew in and was able to be killed.

I received Vial of Tka'ktath's Blood as a solo player with no party, was other players also camping it out of which, seemed to of received the loot also

Can also confirm rare scanner does indeed announce the spawn but it does it as he appears and not when the announcement occurs.

Hope this helps for future farmers =D

Happy grinding

Does anyone know why, after lvl80 of course, he's still not dropping the Vial for me?

When I hover over his Rare entry on the map and I'm shown what he drops, there's a little green checkmark next to the vial, implying maybe I got it already. Here's the thing....I don't have it. The quest it's tied to is not active, I don't have it in my inventory, not my bank, not my warband bank, not in the mailbox.

Six daily kills at 80 now, no drop. Others seem to be getting it at 1-2 kills as it's a high drop chance. Has anyone else had no luck with this dropping still?

Edit: Oof, Wowhead, don't be a dummy like me. I used a quest checking macro and said I already did the hand-in quest! So without realizing it, before I knew what he dropped, I picked the thing up on first kill, handed it in, didn't accept the next quest because it didn't look consequential, then spent the next 5 days killing him for nothing. :)

Kommentar von Grendanm

I was in a tka'ktath waiting room group and the leader there waited 12 hours for it to spawn eventually he gave up and it truly never spawned. Even servers reset without it spawning

Kommentar von Asilya

Can confirm he spawns on reset, Last night we had a server shutdown on EU and the moment i could log back in he was there and we killed him.

Kommentar von fuda

The vial does not drop with low level characters. However, i can't say at which level he starts dropping the vial. I killed him with lvl 75 and did not get the vial, but the other loot. Killed him the next week at lvl 80 and got the vial.

Kommentar von BabyCakes205

Camped from reset 11am EST on 09/08 and he spawned just before 1pm. Got my quest!

Kommentar von Saitanic

Killed him two times so far on my lvl 76 monk, did not get quest item drop, it could be that you have to be max lvl for it to drop, or it could be that im just that unlucky.

First time we've waited 5:45h and second time around 5:50h

Kommentar von SargerasWasRight

Found out about this rare, saw it wasn't spawned and searched for groups. 2 were up with war mode on right away, so that seems like a good way to get a kill.

Kommentar von thebl4ckd0g

Found him today, around 7:30pm eastern time. Pinged it in general chat, but so far only 2 people showed up. The quest item doesn't seem to drop for everybody, as I got it but 1 of the guys who was in my party didn't. :(

Kommentar von Dev1945

Kommentar von Jeolene

Whatever you do, DO NOT form a custom raid group in group finder, this is what I posted in the bug forum:

Was sitting there with a few others waiting to get people around for the boss. I set up a raid group and then listed us in the custom group finder. As soon as I did, the boss despawned and my group was disbanded AND delisted.

Kommentar von Myst97

Adding my two cents to this rare: it seems to be on a 5h-ish respawn timer. Spawned today at 1:05pm CET (missed it because lunch break) and again at 6:10pm CET on my server

Happy hunting!

Seems to buggy. just disappeared when i killed him. No loot or credit

Kommentar von SilverTiger

Can confirm, I waited about 20 min. till the mob spawned, 3 people with me to kill him.

I then directly started running Follower dungeons in Ara-Kara City of Echoes. I got about 90 to 100 chitin per run .. Each run i killed all the mobs, the first boss, and all the mobs up to just before the 2nd boss, then i left and re-entered. The last 2 bosses are a waste in terms of farming chitin .. minimal returns.

I had my 1500 within a few hours of starting as I was making runs between meetings at work. net up .. 500 of this .. and 500 of that ... Piece of Cake! :)

Kommentar von Melandroso

Along the lines of the comment reply from Frundir on the Phiole mit Tka'ktaths Blut page, this rare spawned shortly after 11.30 am (server time) on an EU server. Seems legit that it is every six hours (5.30 and 11.30).

Kommentar von joeartguy

Take the time to form a raid group! He has a lot of health and is very tanky, and if you don't burn him down with a certain time limit from pull -- maybe four minutes? -- he will reset and then despawn.

I hadn't seen anyone else mention this and when it happened I was furious.

Kommentar von Zedv

I don't know if it's a bug or not. But he spawned on me without the zone wide announcement in chat. As of Jan 26, 2025.

Kommentar von Chardinary

Spawned on Stormrage at 1:00 pm PST on April 2nd, 2025. Rarescanner sent out the notification about 5-10 mins later (seems a little late imo) as I was waiting for my friend to fly to me. I never thought I would see this npc. That spawn timer made me doubtful but it does still spawn everyone, just keep trying! I am level 80 and obtained the vial of blood. Also, i had 5 others with me, so i cannot confirm the despawn timer since he went down pretty quick, within a couple minutes.

Kommentar von Askevar

soloed as a 656 unholy dk and it dropped. I was looking for a comment about soloability because no one was joining my listing.

Kommentar von FireDragonFish

Was in Azj-Kahet, and was thinking about logging on my skinner to start camping for this guy, when he spawned! It's a real shame these quests aren't accout-wide.

Kommentar von Birja

clearly I must have encountered a bug, but I received no message in the game chat that it was spawning and SilverDragon did not alert me to it at all. I happened to look at my screen so I wouldn't AFK disconnect and saw people attacking it directly behind me. Extremely lucky.

11:20am CST spawn time on Area-52 (12:23pm realm time). This was after a Friday maintenance downtime at 9am CST and daily reset at 10am CST. So it spawned just under 1.5hr after daily reset.

Kommentar von Dichtor

So if you're a little late to the party like me, don't worry about the fact that there are no waiting room groups anymore just go camp. Went to the kitchen to quickly heat up food around 5:45am PT yesterday, came back just in time to see him die as my idiot self was parked on a further away platform and couldnt get to him in time. Do not be singular brain-celled like me and wait on adjacent ledges, park yourself right on his little island and wait lol. Waited 11 hours from the kill and then died in real life due to tiredness after no spawn. I was there the entire time and Rare Alert and Silver Dragon did not detect him at all so he definitely can take longer than 10 hours. Flew by 2 hours after reset and there he was. Dropped vial. I enjoy the grinding elements of these mounts WAY more than camping a spawn point so my real pain is over now!

Strange that everyone is saying he has a spawn path within the City of Threads. I found and killed him just now on Frostmourne (Oceania) and he was perched on the platform above the Salien Gutters (I've uploaded a screenshot). Now for the rest of the grind! Happy hunting!
