Transmog and Character Customization Updates in Patch 8.3 Visions of N'Zoth

Patch 8.3 adds many transmog options and updates to character customization. Here's an overview of all the cosmetic updates you can expect in Visions of N'Zoth, including a transmoggable backpack, new Death Knight swords, and Heritage Armor sets.
Character Customization
Eye Glows
Patch 8.3 adds updated eye glows for some races; the patch notes mention blood elves, night elves, and Death Knights of all races. While missing from the patch notes, Male Worgen have also received updated eye glows.
The Death Knight eye glows are inspired by the glowy blue eyes of the Lich King and the Helm of Domination.
All of these eye glows are visible in the
Dressing Room!
Guardian Druid Dance
The Mage Tower Legion Artifact Appearance, Might of the Grizzlemaw, transforms the Druid into a Werebear. Now in Patch 8.3, they are getting a dance based on the Tequila Dance from Pee-Wee Herman's Big Adventure.
Allied Race Customization Options
Patch 8.3 adds two new Allied Races with distinctive appearances:
The
Mechagnomes
, available to the Alliance, have customizable robotic arms and legs, as well as mechanical details like helmets and goggles.
The
Vulpera
, available to the Horde, are a race of foxes with customizable fur and snouts.

New to World PvP in Patch 8.3 is the
N'lyeth, Splitter von N'Zoth
system, unlocked through achieving
Allianzattentäter
or
Hordeattentäter
by killing 10 players of the opposite faction without dying in Kul Tiras or Zandalar. Using the item transforms your character into a
Diener von N'Zoth
. The effect is quite cool, covering your character in tentacles and a void aura. The effect lasts for 1 hour.
Through continuing in the World PvP system, you can earn the
N'lyeth, Splitter von N'Zoth
toy and .

New Armor
Heritage Armor Sets
Four Heritage Armor sets are coming in Patch 8.3: Mechagnome, Vulpera, Worgen, and Goblin.
Heritage Armor Guide
If you want to unlock the Allied Race Heritage Armor, you must level a Vulpera or Mechagnome from Level 20 to Level 110 without using a Boost.

Black Empire Sets
The new BoA Black Empire Catch-Up gear is very similar to the Timeless Isle BoA gear. It drops from random mobs in the Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms invasions and has the appearance of the LFR Ny'alotha sets.
The token will drop for a specific Armor type and a gear slot and when used by one of those classes, will turn into an Item Level 410 piece of gear (415 for Azeroth) for that gear slot.

Four new tabards are available for transmog in Patch 8.3:

Horrific Visions Masks
Faceless Masks are an end-game system to Horrific Visions. These allow you to (by choice) make your run through Horrific Visions more challenging but also more rewarding. Through exploring, you'll eventually obtain these masks and be able to activate them prior to runs if you choose.
Successfully completing all objectives of a Horrific Vision in a single run while wearing a Faceless Mask will reward that mask as a cosmetic transmog item in the main chest.

Legendary Transmog
In Visions of N’Zoth, players will finally be able to transmog Legendary Weapons and Armor! If there are any Legendaries you'd like to wield while adventuring, now's the time to transmog into them. However, there's only one legendary that you can't transmog to and that's the Warglaives of Azzinoth. Only Demon Hunters can unlock this appearance for transmog through

Death Knight Swords
Pandaren and Allied Race Death Knights will complete a short quest (

) with a choice of eight rewards: four 1H Swords and four 2H Swords. These swords cover tints representing the three specializations (Blood, Frost, Unholy), as well as Bolvar's speciality--Fire.

has a rare chance to appear in Alleria's Corrupted Chest at the end of the Horrific Vision of Stormwind.
Possible Assault Transmog?
There are several rare-quality datamined weapons in Patch 8.3 that we haven't found sources for yet. Based on the names of these items, they could be from different types of Assaults, such as

from the Mantid invasions in Vale of Eternal Blossoms, or

from the Mogu invasions.
New Rare-Quality Weapons
Coming Soon: Season 4
We'll cover these sets in more detail as Season 4 gets closer, but Season 4, which launches the week of January 21st, will introduce more armor and weapon sets themed after Ny'alotha. These sets will come in seven tints: LFR / Normal / Heroic / Mythic for PvE, and Alliance / Horde / Elite for PvP.
