The Waking Shores is the ancestral home of both the Red and Black Dragonflights. Although Neltharion has been slain some time ago, there is a faction of black dragonspawn still loyal to him hiding in the mountains of the zone, known as the Worldbreakers. In this post, we check them out!
Worldbreaker Questline
Hidden among the mountains north of the Obsidian Throne you can find the Worldbreakers, a group of black dragonspawn still neutral to Neltharion - And unaware of his death.
However, not all Worldbreakers are happy - An escapee mentions the return of the voice of Neltharion, which led them to acts of cruelty.
Take care of Ingot, outsider. He needs guidance. And tempering.
> Why are you leaving the Worldbreakers?
"Worldbreakers." Pfah. Once we called ourselves the Children of the Earth.
Then the Voice of Neltharion arrived. He spoke of the Earth-Warder's return, and the "Hour of Twilight."
But it was all an excuse for cruelty. Those of us who defied the Voice suffered terribly. Now we seek shelter, away from this madness.
Together with these escapees is Ingot, a drakonid whelp who is very much still loyal to Neltharion, but lacks the ferocity (and maybe mild corruption) of your usual black dragon.
<Ingot clears his throat and starts reading off his hand.>
The Worldbreakers welcome you. I am Ingot, Third Disciple to the Voice of Neltharion, and--
And I need help!
> <Ask about the Worldbreakers.>
That's us! The Worldbreakers serve Neltharion in all things.
Our elders say that one day soon, the Earth-Warder will burst from the sea and bring peace to Azeroth. We're here to help him when he arrives!
> <Inform Ingot politely that Neltharion is dead.>
D-Don't be ridiculous! The Aspects live forever. And Neltharion even longer than that!
He can't just... die.
<Ingot's voice cracks.>
Ingot tasks you with dispatch of some mean Worldbreaker disciples, as well as meeting with an emissary who wished to speak with the Voice of Neltharion, but was instead set to be executed. Turns out the emissary was sent by the Red Dragonflight to kill off the Worldbreaker cult, but as they see Ingot, they agree to give him and the Worldbreakers a chance at survival.
As we advance through the Worldbreaker forces, turns out the Voice of Neltharion is actually an agent of the Twilight's Hammer, who's trying to corrupt the Worldbreakers! As we defeat the imposter Voice, he reveals his Ogre true form. With the Worldbreakers saved, the previous escapees go to the Ruby Life Pools to help the Red Dragonflight, but Ingot stays behind to not abandon his kin.
With this questline done, the Worldbreakers become neutral to the player. There is no reputation to grind with them, but you are able to freely roam their area, and even purchase a
Weltenbrechermitgliedschaft
, which gives you the temporary title for a day.
Summon Morchok with the Worldbreakers
The above questline is not the only presence they have in the Waking Shores, though. Near the Obsidian Throne, you can help a group of Worldbreakers to bring forth the Hour of Twilight!
You are able to grind
Restaurierter Obsidianschlüssel
at the Obsidian Throne, and these are usually turned in to Wrathion or Sabellian so they can lead an assault into the Obsidian Fortress. You can instead turn these keys to the Worldbreakers, and once 10 keys are gathered by them, they're able to start a ritual to revive Morchok, previously the first boss of the Dragon Soul raid! This calls the attention of Alexstrasza herself, who calls for players to help defeat the giant elemental (and doesn't suspect the players themselves are the ones who helped revive him). Killing Morchok grants reputation to both Wrathion and Sabellian!
It is worth noting you do not need to complete the Worldbreaker questline to have the ability to summon Morchok.
