Mere days after reaching
level 50 in 4 hour and 17 minutes

has once again broken his own records, speeding through the
Shadowlands
Pre-patch leveling process in an astounding
3 hours and 33 minutes
! 44 minutes faster than the last trip, this run took full advantage of the
16 Year Anniversary
and
Darkmoon Faire
event buffs to level much faster than normal. Even if you aren't a speed leveler, it's a great example of how great the

Route breakdown
Darkmoon Faire -> Elwynn Forest -> Redridge Mountains -> Duskwood -> Warlords Intro -> Shadowmoon Valley -> Loch Modan -> Gorgrond
Death Knight was again chosen due to Warrior losing some of its early speed in the Pre-patch changes, although this time as an Alliance Dark Iron Dwarf rather than a Horde Vulpera, taking advantage of
Untertage
and
Maulwurfmaschine
to save several minutes of travel time. The route itself is a little more convoluted, but still sticks to the same principles of starting in
Cataclysm
before moving into
Warlords of Draenor
: beginning with 100
Dunkelmond-Dolchmaul
for
Verblichene Schatzkarte
to turn into 10
Dunkelmond-Zylinder
from the Darkmoon Faire, activating
Chromie Time
, and moving through Elwynn Forest, Redridge Mountains, and Duskwood, before going into the WoD intro scenario and Shadowmoon Valley, traveling back to Loch Modan, and then finishing up in Gorgrond. While normally this extra travel would eat precious time,

almost entirely eliminate that downtime.

The

buffs are of course crucial to these abnormally short times and won't stick around forever, but the route is very strong and will likely continue to be optimized even once those buffs are gone. A lot of additional preparation goes into these runs, which can be seen on

. Crafting with
Relics of the Past
can also play a major role, as it can create items even better than heirlooms.
Fast as the run was, it could have been even faster, as this run was beset by many more setbacks than the last, including PvP issues right at the end, which are always a concern on live servers. Still, coming in nearly 45 minutes faster than the previous record, it show just how much room there is to optimize and improve even these extraordinarily fast leveling times. Even if you're not a speed leveler though, the process is very quick now and easily doable within 9-12 hours.
