Nazjatar is filled to the brim with rares, each rare being important to kill for their daily reputation bonuses with the Waveblade Ankoan/Unshackled, as well as them being general quest objectives. However, a select group of rares has been brought to people's attention on these last couple days - Coral Ancient rares! In this post, we go over why these rares are so important and how to get them.

What are Coral Ancient Rares?
There are four different coral ancient rares in Nazjatar -
Anemonar
,
Tangwurz
,
Oronu
and
Urduu
. These rares are usually untargettable, unattackable and untrackable, so players usually run past them without even realizing that they're there. Each coral ancient requires a specific process to break them out of their stasis so they can be attacked and killed, but the rewards are well worth it.
Not only they're part of the Nazjatar rare achievement,

, but they also have a daily chance to drop the elusive
Uralte Riffwandererborke
- This item, when turned in at Mezzamere or Newhome, grants a whopping 350 Reputation with the Waveblade Ankoan/Unshackled, as well as 100 follower experience to all your bodyguards, making this item a perfect way to farm higher ranks of the Azerite Essence

Anemonar
Anemonar
stands right in the middle of the Coral Forest. To trigger him, you will need to kite a
Riesenhimmelsrochen
and kill it in front of Anemonar.
Colossal Sky Rays fly really high up in the Nazjatar skies, patrolling around the Dragon's Tooth Basin area. The best way to kite one without flying is by using a glider down from the rock formations above Newhome. A group might be a good idea for this rare, as they have 11 million hp.
Kelpwillow
Tangwurz
can be found south of Thoras'tal Spire, in the Spears of Azshara region. To trigger Kelpwillow, you will need to charm a
Schlammschnegel
by using a
Kristallprisma
, and then bring the charmed Muck Slug to Kelpwillow's foot.
Muck Slugs are common around the Spears of Azshara area. If they're moving too slowly after charmed, you can simply mount up to make them rush after you. Prismatic Crystals are usually found by waterfalls in Nazjatar, and there is one that spawns behind Kelpwillow's location. You will need to have completed the quest

Oronu
Oronu
can be found near the water wall at Highborne Estates. To trigger him, you will need to bring a

Geweihter Riffwanderer
to Urduu's location, then kill it in front of Urduu.
Staghorn Reefwalkers are elite coral ancients that can be found all around the Ashen Strand area.
