What You Need to Skip Prideful
To be able to skip
Stolz
, you need the ability to use

. These items or abilities will allow you to never enter combat with the
Stolz
mob altogether which is an incredibly useful thing. It is also important to note that if one member of your party enters combat with the

mob then typically the whole party will also enter combat as well, so making sure the whole group is on the same page is very important. It is also useful to have a group movement speed buff used such as
Anstachelndes Gebrüll
to help you gain distance on the Prideful mob since it does have Truesight.
How Does it Work
Once you kill the final mob that spawns your
Stolz
, your full party will have to use their
Trank des versteckten Geistes
the moment you drop combat from the trash pack and run away from the pride. Remember that the
Stolz
spawns on 1 of your 5 members at random and properly positioning the Prideful mob is important. It is also important to note that if there are damage over time effects on your party such as
Schrecklich
or
Platzend
, then they will be broken out of their Invisibility and probably pull the Prideful mob forcing you to fight it. Once you engage in boss combat, the skipped
Stolz
will go invisible, but don't be fooled as the Prideful mob is still there and can be pulled during boss combat even though it does not appear to be there.

When to Skip Prideful
Determining when a
Stolz
is efficient to kill versus skip is a pretty tricky task, but there are situations where playing the
Stolz
for the buff is better than skipping it. However, if you are not able to gain a significant portion of damage from defeating a
Stolz
or killing it does not
Stolz
enable a bigger pull, then skipping it is normally preferred. Skipping it is preferred due to the fact that you do not have to commit any real offensive or defensive cooldowns, which is more important on higher keystones. There are a lot of bosses in Shadowlands that take a significant portion of time, so having
Stolz
for them can be nice, so skipping vs defeating it depends on the circumstances. Two instances of good Prideful skipping is before
Oberster Kämmerer
or before
Devos
. Both of these bosses are relatively easy in difficulty and do not have any significant time saves that you gain by having the buff.
Overall, skipping a pride is normally more effective for time in the key, but you have to be coordinated to pull off the pride skip.
