12.08.2022 um 17:33
As with every expansion, Dragonflight will be adding 4 new Darkmoon Decks which will continue being crafted by the Inscription Profession. The Darkmoon Decks are now in the game data, so we've previewing the new sets for each role, including the ability to customize how your deck shuffles while in combat!
Obtaining Darkmoon Cards
Scribes that are skilled in the Archiving Inscription specialization are able to obtain Darkmoon Cards at random with the
, which grants two random Darkmoon Cards when opened.
However, this is not the only source of Darkmoon Cards - Blizzard has stated that players will be able to obtain Darkmoon Cards simply from doing content, probably in the form of
We’ve definitely noted feedback on the initial leveling experience taking a lot of effort/time until you reach crafts that are useful.
It’s important to know that Darkmoon Cards will drop from all forms of content. The Darkmoon Booster recipe is not the only way to source them.
It is important to notice that on our tests, we were unable to obtain the Ace cards via the Inscription recipe, which could mean that these specific cards are randomly dropped from doing content.
Dragon Isles Darkmoon Decks
Dragonflight Darkmoon Cards will continue to offer the same functionality they had in Shadowlands: Primary-stat trinkets with on-use effects on a 3-minute cooldown, and random card shuffling in combat to determine how strong the on-use effect will be.
There are two tiers of Darkmoon Decks in Dragonflight: The first tier, created by simply obtaining and combining all eight cards from a specific set, and Deck Boxes, a higher item-level version made by Scribes with sufficient Archiving specialization skill.
The first tier of Darkmoon Decks are awarded at ilvl 350:
Ace through Eight of Fire
with the following on-use effect: Hurl a Smoldering Inferno at the target that deals between 21,456-32,516 Fire damage. Damage dealt is determined by the top-most card of the deck.
Ace through Eight of Frost
with the following on-use effect: Deal 13096 Frost damage to your target and apply an Awakening Rime for 4-12s. If the target dies while Awakening Rime is active, it explodes for 11890 Frost damage in a 10 yard radius. Duration is determined by the top-most card of the deck.
Ace through Eight of Air
with the following on-use effect: Call a Refreshing Dance that bounces 5-12 times between friends and foes within 25 yards, dealing 75016 Nature damage or 77848 healing. The number of bounces is determined by the top-most card of the deck.
Ace through Eight of Earth
with the following on-use effect: Grants the Watcher's Blessing for 5-12s and an absorb shield for 141973 damage. If the shield depletes while Watcher's Blessing is active, gain 7840 versatility for the same duration. Duration is determined by the top-most card of the deck.
The second tier of Darkmoon Decks, called Darkmoon Deck Boxes is created at base ilvl 393 by Archiving-skilled Scribes. The item level of these trinkets can be further increased if crated with higher Quality levels.
Customizing your Deck Box Shuffling With Sigils
Your Darkmoon Card on-use effects are usually determined by which card you have drawn in, with your deck being shuffled periodically while in combat. New to Dragonflight, you're able to customize how your deck is shuffled by using Sigils! Sigils are an Optional Reagent created by Scribes sufficiently skilled in Archiving, and each Sigil changes how your Deck Box is shuffled.
As this is an Optional Reagent applied when crafting an item, only the Darkmoon Deck Boxes can have Sigils on them. Here's a list of Sigils and their effects:
: Your Darkmoon Deck Box now shuffles from highest to lowest cards.
: Your Darkmoon Deck Box shuffles faster.
: Your Darkmoon Deck Box no longer has Even cards.
: Your Darkmoon Deck Box stops shuffling once the Ace card is drawn.
: Your Darkmoon Deck Box only shuffles when you jump.
