Visions of N'zoth has been out for a little over a week now, time in which players have been able to unlock all patch features like Horrific Visions and Assaults. In order to help players to optimize their time in-game and make the most of it, we prepared a list of our most recommended addons for Patch 8.3, Visions of N'zoth.
Addons for Assaults
Patch 8.3 content has players dealing with N'zoth's forces Assaults every day. The following addons aim to improve your efficiency in assaults and increase your overall gains from them.
HandyNotes Visions of N'zoth
HandyNotes is one of the most common map highlight addons in WoW. Its Visions of N'zoth Module adds markers on your map showing the location of rares, chests, events, and other points of interest, like spawns for

The main perk of this addon is its daily updates that highlight what events are available in Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms that day.

TomCat Tours Visions of N'zoth
Another option for that works both with Handy Notes or as a separate addon is this plugin for TomCat Tours. It also adds locations for rares in the map, adding a list to the map showing all rares that available during the current assault and which aren't. It also changes the color in the map and minimap for rares that are currently up, allowing you to easily spot them.

Corrupted Mobs
While fighting the main N'zoth Assault (the zone the becomes void-touched), you may find corrupted creatures. These creatures are buffed by N'zoth and increase your corruption the longer you fight them. However, they also drop

Rare/Event Warnings
One of the main exploration features of Assaults is the presence of rares, events, and chests. The addons below all serve to track these to some extent.
NPCScan
- The oldest addon of the list. NPCScan is also is most customizable of the bunch, allowing the addition of custom NPCs to track.
SilverDragon
- Works similar to NPCScan, but scan vignettes in the minimap in addition to nameplates.
RareScanner
- A lightweight scanner that works purely on vignettes.
