This is just an amazing looking helm. Glad to see they brought it back. Stat itemization is fairly good for this helm as well, as well as interesting seeing the old +10 resists again.

The intellect and spirit is gone for the ret version (
Original Judgement Crown
), I still would had hoped we could get a full new T2 set just like the old
judgment set

The old T2 helmets drop from Nefarian in BWL now.

Actually haste is almost as good as crit for ret paladin untill you reach about 10%, so this helm is very nicely itemized

In comparison to it's
10-man version
,
Judgement Hood
offers an additional...
+84 Armor
+16 Strength
+18 Stamina
+14 Critical Strike Rating
+8 Haste Rating
Note that the 10-man version is called the Judgement
Helm
, while the 25-man version is called the Judgement
Hood
.
Oh, and a bit of useless information here, but the armor value of this helm is the same number as our year, 2009. Quite a coincidence, isn't it? Probably, Blizzard intended to do this in celebration of the 5-years of World of Warcraft and the return of Onyxia/tier 2 helms. But hey, that's just my perspective.

Glad to have the Judgement set making a return. I loved this set. By far the best looking set in the game. Now they need to upgrade the rest of the it. Too bad for all the people who made guilds to raid at 60 though. I think Blizz should make realms that are just pre BC. I think Pre BC was WoW at its best.

But really, you could play vanilla content exclusively anyway again anyway now that you can turn off experience gains. Just get a character up to level 60 without every entering Outlands, then the moment you hit 60 -- turn off experience gains. It's only 10 gold, and you can play that way as long as you like. So long as you don't use BC and Lich King enchants/items, it's fair. You could even allow Death Knights to partake, simply on the merit that they can turn exp off at level 60 as well (though they might be in a bad shape for trying to find upgrades from the Acherus Gear).
I mean you can't do
Naxxramas
40-man anymore, and you can't do
Onyxia's Lair
anymore, but otherwise you could pull it off. You could do the same thing with BC and level 70 too. If you really wanted to you could do a progression method using this idea. IE: Get to 60, turn off experience, do all the level 60 raids until satisfied, when you're done, turn experience back on and do BC as per normal. Then at 70, do the same thing with 70 raids and then on to 80. Or just stay 60/70.
All of the old tier 2 armour can still be acquired off of bosses, including the
Judgement Crown
through
Nefarian
so if anything Blizzard has kind of placated all the "give us a BC only server" purists, even if they never really thought about it. The only thing is, you gotta find people who are willing to play that way. If you could establish a community of 40 or more people, you could play that way all you like.
Though it's also true that if Blizzard is redoing
Onyxia's Lair
, then they'll most likely update
Blackwing Lair
during Cataclysm, probably just before they put in Deathwing himself. Because I could see using
Nefarian
as the raid preceding the final encounter of Cataclysm.
One slight problem is,
Molten Core
is rendered broken. Without needing the
Eternal Quintessence
it's kind of not the same. Oh well.
