Salivating Bloodthirsters do not attack players and cannot be tanked; they move mindlessly toward nearby pools of fel blood

They have low health and are susceptible to slows, knockbacks, roots, and forced movement (e.g. ), but cannot be stunned

If players do not kill the Bloodthirsters before they reach a fel blood pool, they will cast Blutpakt and transform into Bulliger Schreckens

Hulking Terrors must be tanked facing away from the rest of the raid as their Wilde Stöße is a cone effect

Players should interrupt the Hulking Terror's Verwundender Schrei to avoid heavy raid-wide damage

When Hulking Terrors die, they deal Teufelsriss damage to all nearby players

Eisensturm

Eisensturm is particularly scary when both Grunts use the ability at the same time

Single-target stuns before a Grunt begins to cast Eisensturm could desync the Eisensturm casts and make the fight easier

Bleeding Grunts are immune to stuns and other forms of CC during Eisensturm

They may move freely while channeling Eisensturm; tanks should use defensive CDs and pull the Grunts away from the raid

The Salivating Bloodthirsters will transform into Hulking Terrors upon reaching the fel blood pool

One Bloodthirster will always spawn directly on top of the large pool of fel blood at the end of the corridor, and immediately transform

The other two Bloodthirsters spawn from the dark, eye-filled alcoves along the hallway; their spawn times are slightly staggered

Ranged DPS should prioritize killing these Bloodthirsters, and apply slows/roots when possible, to prevent them from transforming

Melee DPS with knockback/forced-movement abilities can assist by disrupting any Bloodthirsters who get too close to a pool

Tanks must make sure to quickly taunt the newly-formed Hulking Terror

Face the Hulking Terror away from the rest of the raid so they are not affected by Wilde Stöße

The Terror will cast Verwundender Schrei; interrupt this to avoid taking heavy raid-wide damage and afflicting every player with a painful DoT

Players must kill the Hulking Terror quickly, as each interrupted Verwundender Schrei shortens the cast time of subsequent casts

When the Hulking Terror dies, Teufelsriss deals damage to all nearby players, dealing moderate damage

Each Wilde Stöße cast will give the current tank, and any players standing in its effect, 14 Teufelsverderbnis

Players should avoid standing in front of the Hulking Terror unless currently tanking

When a Hulking Terror dies, the five nearest players will gain 20 Teufelsverderbnis from Teufelsriss

Teufelsverderbnis gained from Teufelsriss will naturally fade over the course of several seconds

So long as players do not allow extra Hulking Terrors to spawn, they will not have to worry much about managing Teufelsverderbnis

Tanks should swap tanking duties for each Hulking Terror, so that their Teufelsverderbnis does not get too high

Healers can interact with the Vision of Death mechanic to obtain Unsterbliche Erlösung, a buff that reduces nearby players' Teufelsverderbnis

Blood Globules will move toward Kilrogg, and if a Globule reaches him, it will explode, dealing moderate raid-wide damage with Blutwoge

The Blood Globule is immune to all movement-impairing effects

The Herzsucher target should run away from Kilrogg to give the Blood Globule a longer path to the boss

The raid must quickly kill the Blood Globule to prevent its detonation

Avoid standing in a Blutspritzer from a previous Herzsucher effect

The Fel Blood Globule has approximately triple the health of a Blood Globule

The raid should designate groups of 3 players - 2 DPS and a healer - to enter the Vision des Todes realm

Players who enter the Vision des Todes will gain powerful buffs depending upon their spec

DPS will gain Unsterbliche Entschlossenheit, while healers will gain Unsterbliche Erlösung/Unsterbliche Erlösung

After returning, players gain Todesverachtung, and may not enter another Vision des Todes for 90 seconds

This means the raid will need to assign 2 teams to handle Visions of Death

Kilrogg has a lot of health, and there are many competing target priorities in the fight. Killing Kilrogg will involve maximizing the DPS of players affected by Unsterbliche Entschlossenheit.

Before starting the encounter, select two Vision des Todes teams of 2 DPS and 1 healer, organize an interrupt rotation for Hulking Terrors, and choose a location to which players affected by Herzsucher should run.

Ranged DPS/healers should start out stacked up on one side of the corridor, and move across to the other side during Todeswindungen.

Tanks should swap duties each time a Hulking Terror spawns, and when tanking Kilrogg, put up Active Mitigation during his Rüstung schreddern attack.

Face Hulking Terrors away from the melee to prevent Wilde Stöße from damaging them or afflicting them with Teufelsverderbnis.

When a Hulking Terror is close to death, the tank should drag it away from the melee to prevent Teufelsriss damage.

Ranged DPS should prioritize targets as follows: Blood Globules > Salivating Bloodthirsters > Hulking Terrors > Kilrogg Deadeye

Melee DPS should prioritize targets as follows: Hulking Terrors > Kilrogg Deadeye

Whenever Herzsucher goes out, the target should move to a designated location to spawn the Blood Globule

Face Kilrogg towards the current ranged DPS location for Vision des Todes so the runes are easily accessible

Players who are sent into the Vision des Todes should try to reach 20 stacks of Unsterbliche Entschlossenheit/Unsterbliche Erlösung by killing as many enemies as possible.

Players with high stacks of Unsterbliche Entschlossenheit should focus their damage on the boss, with efficient AoE or incidental cleave onto adds.

Players with Unsterbliche Erlösung should stay near the tanks until the tanks' Teufelsverderbnis has dropped.

Healing or damage-reduction cooldowns should be used to mitigate Todeswindungen damage. The Kilrogg tank and melee may need stronger cooldowns and more healer attention.

Use your Active Mitigation abilities when Kilrogg begins to cast Rüstung schreddern

If a Blood Globule, or especially a Fel Blood Globule, approaches Kilrogg, drag the boss away from the globule

Face Hulking Terrors away from allies, and drag them away from the raid when they are nearly dead

Interrupt Verwundender Schrei, especially when the Hulking Terror is away from the melee group

Use strong survivability cooldowns to mitigate Todeswindungen damage while tanking Kilrogg

Melee DPS should interrupt Verwundender Schrei when possible, and prioritize damage on Hulking Terrors

Ranged DPS should prioritize killing Blood Globules and Salivating Bloodthirsters, then dying Hulking Terrors

Ranged DPS should stay far away from dying Hulking Terrors to avoid being splashed with Fel Blood from Teufelsriss

If targeted by Herzsucher, run to the predetermined location and maximize your distance from the boss

Use personal damage-reduction cooldowns during Todeswindungen

Designated players should step into the green runes during Kilrogg's Vision des Todes to enter the Royal Quarters

Healer Responsibilities

Use healing or damage-reduction cooldowns for Todeswindungen, ensuring that the heaviest CDs are used at the end of the fight when Todeswindungen' damage is highest

Ground-based AoE healing should be concentrated on the melee group for Todeswindungen, since the ranged will be moving constantly

Place external cooldowns such as Pain Suppression or Ironbark on the Kilrogg tank during Todeswindungen

Players affected by Herzsucher will require more single-target healing attention

Otherwise, most of the healing required will be tank healing

Stay far away from dying Hulking Terrors to avoid being splashed with Fel Blood from Teufelsriss

If targeted by Herzsucher, run to the predetermined location and maximize your distance from the boss

Use personal damage-reduction cooldowns during Todeswindungen

Designated players should step into the green runes during Kilrogg's Vision des Todes to enter the Royal Quarters

Players can stay in the Royal Quarter for up to 1 minute, until they "die", or until they gain 20 stacks of the buff and are automatically transported out

While in the Vision des Todes, players suffer from Vision des Todes damage

Every demon that is killed - regardless of who kills it - will grant each player in the Royal Quarter a buff

DPS players will gain a stack of Unsterbliche Entschlossenheit, improving their damage

Healers will gain a stack of Unsterbliche Erlösung, which improves their healing

Unsterbliche Erlösung also allows the healer to reduce the raid's Teufelsverderbnis after the healer returns from the Vision des Todes

Players should try to defeat as many demons as possible to maximize their buffs for use when they return to the encounter

If not enough players stand in the Vision des Todes runes, Kilrogg will inflict heavy raid damage, and no players will be sent down

24 Höllenglutwichtels, which melee players and will cast Teufelsfeuer, a 10-second cast that will deal fatal damage if successful

6 Höllenglutscheusals, which melee players and erupt into a pool of Teufelsflammen when they die

1 Höllenglutherrin, who melees players and uses Glutodem, a cone attack dealing heavy damage and afflicting players in its area of effect with a strong DoT

TodesverachtungVision des Todes

DPS with Unsterbliche Entschlossenheit should focus their damage onto Kilrogg, using only very efficient AoE/cleave abilities to splash damage onto adds

Healers with Unsterbliche Erlösung should be sure to stand near enough to the tanks in order to clear the Teufelsverderbnis they have gained from Wilde Stöße

This healer should also use their throughput cooldown(s) for Todeswindungen that occur while they are buffed with additional healing

The puddle holds about 80-90 Teufelsverderbnis

Once all of this Teufelsverderbnis is absorbed, the puddle will disappear

When Kilrogg Deadeye casts Todeswindungen, any existing Teufelspfützes will spawn a Fel Blood Globule

To avoid this from happening, the raid must assign several players to soak the Teufelspfütze

A group of five or six players is enough to keep the Teufelsverderbnis gains moderately low, but the Hulking Terror tank probably should not soak

Players should not kill a Hulking Terror if a Todeswindungen is imminent; however, once Kilrogg has begun a Todeswindungen, it is safe to kill the Terror - a Fel Blood Globule will not spawn

All players will gain at least 9 Teufelsverderbnis from the Todeswindungen ticks

This Teufelsverderbnis will slowly fade, but not fast enough to disappear before the next Todeswindungen; players will gradually accumulate high Teufelsverderbnis from this mechanic

Note that players will also be affected by Fel Blood while they have Teufelsverderbnis

This means that, following the first Todeswindungen, most Herzsuchers will spawn Fel Blood Globules rather than Blood Globules

It is vital that only the targeted player be struck by Herzsucher, and that the Fel Blood Globule spawns far from Kilrogg

As before, one of the Salivating Bloodthirsters will spawn directly above the fel pool and immediately transform to a Hulking Terror

The other three will spawn on slightly staggered timers from three of the four alcoves along the corridor

Players can root Salivating Bloodthirsters up to three times before they become immune

Abilities such as Wucherwurzeln and are better choices for this than shorter-term roots like Totem des Erdgriffs

Use slows to give players enough time to kill the non-rooted Bloodthirster, and then slow the other two Bloodthirsters when they become immune to roots

It is very important not to allow additional Hulking Terrors to spawn since they will add a large amount of Teufelsverderbnis to the raid, making it too hard to avoid Dämonenbesessenheit

Defying Death now lasts 90 seconds, so raids only need two groups of players to take alternating Vision of Death runes
Upon reaching 20 stacks, players are automatically ported out of the Vision of Death realm a few seconds later
New image of the Vision of Death realm since it has changed aesthetically since PTR :)

A word on the Vision of Death part.

As this guide has very helpfully stated, the runes will be placed on the ground in a vertical line in front of the boss. However, if Kilrogg is too close to a wall and facing toward it when the runes come out, this will cause one or more of them to land on the wall in full or in part. If this occurs, any rune that is touching the wall will not work. Thus, the tanks need to make sure that they are prepared for the cast and face the boss well away from a wall beforehand. Ideally your raid should be positioned so that pointing the runes toward the group will face them away from a wall, allowing the designated players to get to the runes quickly and easily.

Green "fel flames" will appear around the rune once it has detected that a player is standing in it. Each rune can only teleport 1 player into the vision each, so make sure each person knows which rune they are assigned to ahead of time.

Once inside the vision, your goal is to gain 20 stacks of Unsterbliche Entschlossenheit/Unsterbliche Erlösung before you either die or 1min has passed. Being geared at around 690 on average in Normal mode, our group found it difficult to stay alive for long without popping CDs. Remember, you only get 1min max in there, and a LOT of demons will be appearing in that short amount of time. It goes very quickly, so be prepared to go nuts and pop your CDs as fast as you can as soon as the mobs start wailing on you. However, depending on raid comp, healers may want to save certain healing CDs for after they have exited the vision.

Most dps do not wish to miss out on the last few percent of life on any boss, that execute phase amirite. If you get Visions of Death during the execute phase and you don't want to miss out on murdering the boss but don't want to do damage to the raid from not standing in the 3 Visions marks on the ground, go in and immediately step off the platform and poof you are back. You can let the mobs that spawn kill you, but this is faster since it takes a few seconds for them to run around and enter the stepped area. You can stay in and try to get a few extra stacks, but Kilrogg may be lootable by the time you get out.

It says to use Hero/TW at the start -- but I've seen many groups do it as soon as the first group exit their Vision with their extra damage buff.
