From what i have gathered so far, all of the giant stitched golem rares in Maldraxxus can drop appearance items. Ive gotten the Kashs Plunderbeutel, Seltsamer Stoff, and Unbezwingbare Haut from these rares.

Tips for hunting with Chordy

It doesn't matter where you are looking for treasure, as long as Chordy can do his search, you can find all the items. So find somewhere that is flat and enemy free.
Do follow Chordy while he's looking because there's a decent amount of the time that it spawns at his location. If it doesn't, start checking your known spawn points in the area (see below for tips on this)
It is helpful to search from a consistent point, this limits the places that Chordy can put the items and so you learn where you need to check.
Zoomed out and relatively top down is easiest for finding the items. You do have to move to different areas, rather than just scan with your camera, it appears that moving into the area can sometimes make the item "spawn".
Because of the timer on when the item can spawn, it can be beneficial to go back to a place you think you checked at the start.
Don't search for too long because the items despawn, if you haven't found it and the timer's up, go back to your spot and start a new search.
I really like searching from the decal at 52, 48 in Hero's Rest - I've learnt where most of his spots are and I can find the item with decent frequency now. (Basically they can spawn on the full balcony length behind and slightly down the stairs to the left as well as the general walkways to the left and right facing the center and down those stairs)

I think i may have found the location for Schleimkatze. Theres a slime cat at 67.91, 79.29 in Maldraxxus but i cant interact with it. Its very similar to the cats for Neun jenseitige Leben but its not targetable at all.

Can we talk about how it sucks to be a Necrolord rogue with a construct in war mode? It literally gives away my position, as it's the one NPC in Shadowlands so far that doesn't ALSO stealth WITH the rogue.

So i was looking into the achievement to make all constructs and im lost on the last one Unity. There is no on wowhead at all but its listed as one of the required constructs for the achievement. Im curious how this will be obtained, it would be really neat it we can make a super abom with all the souls together though!

farming some of these with chrody is the most frustrating thing ever, sometimes he will spawn the item fine but other times he either stands there and doesn't move, runs off and says he smells the item but nothing spawns or he'll run one way and an item will spawn the other way and despawn, not to mention the fact that the drop rate for the actual items is so horrendously low that i have so many shattered mementos i could probably fund an entire war just by selling them

also when i pick up an item that isn't a shattered memento, which doesn't happen often (it took 50 item bags, not counting the ones that didn't spawn or depsawned, to get 1 of the special items), it gives me a ''you are mounted'' warning/error for some reason

After using most of my reserve anima to upgrade the table to second rank, I tried to create the pet, Backbone, but kept getting an error about not having enough anima. Anima isn't shown as a cost for creating the pet? Hidden cost or bug?

Rejoice, it appears that constructs will now stealth with you (or at least with druid cat stealth), even big ol' Marz.

Also as a warning, the game won't prevent you from crafting duplicate accessories, and it results in absolutely nothing. It doesn't hurt to double-check your Kleider machen Monstrositäten achievement before crafting them.

The 500 Malleable Flesh "Stitched" transmog sets in this guide do not seem to be present in live WoW (9.0.2). Instead, you rarely receive pieces from your aboms' weekly quests - you can see if it is offered as a reward upon previewing the quest.

A summary for the available constructs:
Rank 1
Chordy: Junk-finder minion, mainly used for finding a wide range of accessory materials and Anima-touched Weapon Fragments
Roseboil: Healer with a very strong aoe heal on a fairly short CD
Marz: Tank construct with AOE taunt
Flytrap: Rideable construct with very very fast max speed
Atticus: A vendor that has a daily key and small bag of sinstones (~11) if sinstones are unlocked. Sells most of your Stitchmaster rep items.
Miru Soulblossom: A specialized construct that simply exchanges your appearance with theirs. No application except for fun. If her ability is used while shapeshifted she will take your shapeshift form and you can swap freely.

Sabrina: Caster DPS, her use ability hits for ~3000-3500 on every target in the reticle
Professor: Rideable construct with basic speed with a skill that grants a stat buff. Hyperaggressive.
Toothpick: Does a thunderclap-like aoe on a very short CD. Looks a bit like Emeni.
Neena: A specialized hound construct that pretends to do dps and spams dash knockbacks. If you are a ranged character, her Loot-a-Rang construct ability might pique your interest.

Rank 3
Guillotine: Strong melee DPS with a frenzy cleave. Has fairly high threat and pulls aggro a lot but not particularly a tank. Loves hugs.
Gas Bag: AOE dot specialist but unfortunately the dot is very weak
Mama Tomalin: A specialized construct that creates a rested inn space at the Butcher's Block and sells various food and accessory materials

Rank 4
Iron Phillip: Rideable fellow with basic speed and a passive but crazy strong tank aura. Can give a pretty strong shield while riding and can charge on a short CD.
Naxx: Can grant out-of-combat stealth for 15s. His weekly quest supplies the Block with a pair of chill stewards and unlimited alcoholic nectar until weekly reset.

Rank 5
Unity: The Bindings require 1750 anima to craft, so don't stop farming anima. She? is a rideable fellow with normal speed, a channeled laser on a short CD that does ~4500 total damage each target (except she has the aim of a stormtrooper sometimes), and huge 50% self-heal. The only thing she is not is a tank, but as a tank druid her laser typically does as much damage as me (i203) especially on aoe packs. Rathan suggests that the Unity transmog set drops while "completing tasks for the Undying Army in Maldraxxus" while she is out (confirmed a piece dropped from a Maldraxxus WQ... VERY RARE THOUGH). Also notably, she has no voice lines if you get annoyed by the constructs' chatter.

How do I get the quest for rank 2? I have around 6500 Anima stored up, I've got 63 Redeemed Souls. I have no idea how to proceed without potentially missing out on the quests themselves.

Barrel O Fish seemed to be listed here at one point but no longer is?

It is a backpiece for constructs, that requires 200 in fishing to build in the stitchyard

I believe it requires 5 of all the common rarity fish.

This stitchyard has been extremely disappointing so far. It really shows how little testing went into it with so many bugs and issues as well as overall poor tuning. Every time I've upgraded it I found a bug with something. Lvl 1 is Flytraps mindless strike cause your channeled abilitys (mind flay, drain life, void torrent, etc) to be instantly canceled. Lvl 2 is crafting pet that had hidden anima cost. Lvl 3 is the Engineering pack not showing up as a black accessory after making it. Level 4 is Iron Phillips mindless strikes issue again just like fly traps. Honestly, almost all of the constructs feel useless in combat. The only ones that I have had solid help from is Marz and Guillotine because of there ability to deal spread dmg and hold threat. Naxx has very week dmg and only 1 ability, the stealth is nice but not worthy of a "high end" lvl 4 construct. Iron Phillip is just a trashcan of flesh. First off, he was NEVER TESTED ON BETA because no one found the hide to craft him. Second, he does the SAME DAMAGE AS FLYTRAP with the addition of a damage-less charge and a 30k shield he puts on himself that is useless considering he doesnt have a taunt. The fact that he shares an ability with a lvl 1 construct shows you how little he was tested. Using him on combat, if your fighting single target, he will just use charge, then run away, and continue to charge, effectively making him useless. Overall the stitchyard feels rushed out the door, and quite literally patched together.

I got terrible news, Unity, the final abom, is just another riding abom x.x

Their main ability is just a reskinned cleave that all the riding aboms get, then they have a channelled cone on a 15s CD and a heal on a 60s CD

Guess guillotine is still the best....

The Ensembles cannot be crafted through Abominable Stitching. Please update the guide as it's misleading in this regard.

EDIT - I didn't look very far. Now available at the stitching table is Monströse Unterstützung which does summon Emeni.
I also discovered Klein Eddie (summons Lil' Eddie) and Beutel voller gruseliger Krabbler (summons distracting Creepy Crawlies).

Can someone help? This made me quit a month ago and i still cant get it to work

So i have all my stitch factory constructs made. I use marz alot for the tanking but this applies to all of them. They all come with an ability to use, for marz its the taunt... and we need these abilities for them to even work in the field and complete their weekly quests.... But ALL of their abilities have disappeared, i cant use them at all and i cant do their quests because of it.

Ive googled for over a month, asked chat etc and no one knows what im talking about. I sent a ticket, blizzard ignored it. I got rid of all addons, that didnt fix it. Idk wtf to do and this is very frustrating.

Important to note that you actually need to complete the questline starting with Rebellische Seelen to be able to get access to any features of this covenant building, even if you build rank 1 of it. Might be useful to note this in the literal guide for it.

The RNG nature of getting the cosmetic armor pieces really sucks. This is my third week in a row without a new piece being offered from any of the weekly quests. I wish at least one piece a week was guaranteed.

did blizz planned for us to farm the unity transmog set way beyond shadowlands in the next expansion because im already past 2 months of wqs farming with unity and not even a single piece dropped
the drop rate its too #$%ing low for a *!@ing transmog set ffs

Maybe folks here can help me or comment. I have rank 4 of the Stitchyard. Have created 8 constructs. I am about to have the final level as well. However, when I click on the table, I do not have any recipes. No "Basic Constructs" or "Specialized Constructs" appear when I click on the table to create a construct. I do have several Ghosts in my Stitch yard. I can click on them but nothing happens. I asked Blizzard for help but they said known bug. Any ideas so I can fix and be able to create all the constructs, be able to do the new quests and get achieves? Thanks forum.

recently did a world quest in revendreth (forgot the name) that caused my unity construct to duplicate itself and now sometimes i have 2 unity following me around doing twice as much damage until i teleport to another area.

not sure if anyone else has experienced this but it's pretty game breaking for base shadowlands content now, hopefully it doesn't get fixed but it's pretty fun so it probably will

Does anyone know how to find the abomination's action? I accidentally moved it off my bar and have not been able to find it again. Have tried searching my spellbook, nothing. Have tried dismissing and going to quest area and recruiting, nothing. The button has never popped back up on my screen :/

If you cannot find the quest "Rebellious Souls", offered by Rathan, that starts a quest chain called "Soul Survivors", that is required for Abominable Stitching, you may have deleted the quest chain from your log after unknowingly completing one or a few of the first quests.

Try looking around your map for any exclamation mark for any of the quests in the "Soul Survivor's" quest chain: Überlebende Seelen

You can also check to see which quests in the chain you have completed by looking up the wowhead page each quest in the chain and copying the "See if you've already completed this by typing: <command>" command in the in-game chat window. That will return true or false on whether you've completed the quest. Once you've found the first false in the chain, that's the quest you need need to find.

This took me ~6 hours to figure out, so I hope this post saves someone a headache. Enjoy your Fleshroc and Tomalin's Seasoning Crystal :)

The "Unity" transmog set people are referring to can be found in your Appearances tab, on the Sets sub-tab, by typing "unity". The name of the set group will be "<x> of Maldraxxus" (<x> varies by armor class), with "Necrolord" underneath it. Then pull down "Unity" on the right.

The sets on WoWhead are:
Duty-Bound - Necrolord Covenant Cloth Armor Set
Duty-Bound - Necrolord Covenant Leather Armor Set
Duty-Bound - Necrolord Covenant Mail Armor Set
Duty-Bound - Necrolord Covenant Plate Armor Set

Is there an addon that removes items from the list once you've obtained them?

More than once I've farmed a rare stitching drop I already had.

I came here because I reached level 5 on Stitching and I was wondering what to do since Unity seems to do absolutely nothing.

This guide didn't really help and I'm guessing Stitching is just pretty worthless and unfinished.

Here's some suggestions I did:

Made sure I got all the constructs. Some you have no indication you're supposed to get and don't even know they exist until you look at the Achieve (Miru and Neena)
Get all the Wardrobe pieces (again use Achieve as reference) Kleider machen Monstrositäten
Evidentially Unity is just a construct you can drag around while you're doing stuff and you will get some xmog pieces to drop with a very low drop rate (big whoop)
Keep doing the weeklies for some reason I can't fathom (maybe you have a lot of spare time on your hands and think the mats they give is worth it?). They do have a chance to give yet another xmog set (which is exactly the same as the Unity one just slightly a different color)
Basically decide that this was all a waste of time and just stop.

If you're here in the future, you need to do the Emeni sidequests at the house of constructs in order to open up the abomination factory.

Confusingly, all of the abomination weekly quests state that recruiting the construct is "Optional", yet some of them are actually necessary to complete the quests.
