Introduction to the Kyrian Covenant

Living beings have wished to become something greater than themselves since time immemorial. Souls deemed noble enough can prove themselves in Bastion, land of pristine spires and crystalline skies, where those who surpass their trials earn the honor of ascension to a higher calling beside the Archon, first among the winged kyrians.

The Kyrian are eternal beings who draw only the most accomplished, principled, and pure into their ranks. But, as souls plunge into the Maw and upheaval rocks the Shadowlands, scores of aspiring Kyrian find that they are unable to continue their journey to ascension. With the number of Kyrian dwindling, their charge to ferry souls to eternity is in jeopardy. Will the Archon’s devoted stand together, or will this test of faith sunder their shining kingdom?

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Death Knights available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Fesseln der Unwürdigen is a hasted single target damage over time cooldown ability. While Fesseln der Unwürdigen is active on an enemy, that enemy deals 8% less damage to you and your direct damage rune-spending attacks have a 50% to spread the DoT at its remaining duration to another nearby enemy that does not already have Fesseln der Unwürdigen.

The primary rune spending damaging abilities for each specialization are as follows:

Blood - Herzstoß.
Frost - Auslöschen, Frostsichel, and Heulende Böe.
Unholy - Geißelstoß/Reißende Schatten (if talented) and Nekrotischer Stoß.

Dämonenjäger

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Demon Hunters available to both specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Elysischer Erlass is ground-targeted sigil that detonates to deal AoE damage to enemies within the sigil and shatters 3 Lesser Soul Fragments.

Lesser Soul Fragments have additional effects depending on each specialization:

Havoc - Heals for 20% of your maximum health via Zerschmetterte Seelen and provides 30 fury if talented into Dämonischer Appetit.
Vengeance - Heals you for 6% of all damage taken in the 5s at minimum 1% maximum health via Zerschmetterte Seelen.

Druide

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Druids available to all four specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Seelenverwandtschaft is a two-part ability. After a short cast you'll form a bond with another ally that lasts for an hour. The bond itself grants no inherent power, but can be empowered every minute for 10s to grant you and your partner an effect based on your role and your partner's role.

The specific empowerments for Seelenverwandtschaft broken down by specialization are as follows:

Damage, Balance, or Feral - 20% of your damage dealt will build a reservoir that your bonded partner can spend to deal damage, heal allies, or absorb damage.
Tank or Guardian - 40% of damage taken by your bonded partner will be redirected to you instead unless you fall below 20% health.
Healer or Restoration - 30% of all healing done by you will be replicated onto your bonded partner.

If you choose to not bond with a partner then the empowerment will be entirely on yourself and role specific as follows:

Balance, or Feral - 15% increased damage for 10s via Einsame Ermächtigung.
Guardian - 10% incoming damage reduction for 10s via Einsamer Schutz.
Restoration - 15% increased damage for 10s via Einsame Meditation.

Jäger

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Hunters available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Resonierender Pfeil is a ground-targeted cooldown ability that marks an area dealing damage to all enemies in the area. Enemies within the area can be attacked by you and your pet regardless of being within line of sight, and your attacks and your pets attacks on enemies within the area have 30% greater critical strike chance.

Magier

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Mages available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Strahlender Funke is a short cooldown ability that inflicts some upfront damage and then applies a short duration damage over time debuff. Targets affected by Strahlender Funke take 10% increased damage from your direct damage spells stacking for each spell. Strahlender Funke immediately ends after 4 spell casts.

Mönch

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Monks available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Waffen der Ordnung is a cooldown ability that significantly increases your mastery for a moderate duration. Additionally, each specialization gains an additional benefit.

The additional benefit for each specialization is as follows:

Brewmaster - Fasshieb's cooldown is instantly reset and enemies hit by Fasshieb take a stacking 8% damage taken from you increase, up to 32%, for the remaining duration of Waffen der Ordnung.
Mistweaver - 's cooldown is instantly reset and you radiate healing to 6 nearby allies at the start and end of an channel for the remaining duration of Waffen der Ordnung.
Windwalker - Tritt der aufgehenden Sonne reduces chi cost by 1 for 5s and Blackout-Tritt further reduces the cooldown of Tritt der aufgehenden Sonne and Furorfäuste by an additional second for the remaining duration of Waffen der Ordnung.

Paladin

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Paladins available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Göttlicher Glockenschlag is a cooldown ability that unleashes 5 replications of a primary ability to allies or enemies within 30 yards.

The primary ability that is replicated onto 5 targets for each specialization are as follows:

Holy - Heiliger Schock.
Protection - Schild des Rächers.
Retribution - Richturteil.

Priester

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Priests available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Segen der Aufgestiegenen is a long cooldown ability that when activated is replaced by the short cooldown ability Nova des Aufstiegs for 10s that deals AoE damage and healing to 6 nearby enemies and allies as well as granting 1 stack of the Segen der Aufgestiegenen buff. Additionally, a core damaging ability is transformed into Woge des Aufstiegs causing damage when cast and healing a nearby ally as well as granting 5 stacks of the Segen der Aufgestiegenen buff. Once the 10s duration has expired, you explode for AoE damage and healing via Aufgestiegene Eruption to nearby allies increased by 3% for each stack of Segen der Aufgestiegenen that you've built up.

The core ability that is replaced by Woge des Aufstiegs for each specialization is as follows:

Discipline & Holy - Heilige Pein.
Shadow - Gedankenschinden.

Schurke

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Rogues available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Widerhallender Tadel is a short cooldown ability that deals upfront damage to generate 2 combo points and overcharge one of your combo points for 45s; typically, the 2nd, 3rd or 4th combo point indicated by the in-game combo point resource display or the stack number on the corresponding buff. For the remaining duration of the buff, any combo point spending ability that consumes combo points exactly at the overcharge threshold will consume as if 7 combo points were consumed.

Schamane

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Shamans available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Vespertotem is a ground-targeted cooldown ability that places a totem at the designated area. When you cast a damage ability the totem radiates AoE damage to 6 enemies near the totem, and similarly when you cast a healing ability the totem radiates AoE healing to 6 allies near the totem. The totem can be relocated to a new designated area simply by reactivating the ability while the totem is active.

Hexenmeister

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Warlocks available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Geißelnder Obolus is a cooldown ability that deals upfront damage and applies an 18s damage over time effect to your main target. If the target dies with the DoT still applied, then you'll generate 5 Soul Shards. If the DoT expires naturally after 18s then the cooldown is instantly refreshed.

Krieger

This is the Kyrian Covenant Ability for Warriors available to all three specializations. This is obtained by choosing Kyrian as your Covenant in Shadowlands.

Speer der Bastion is a ground-targeted AoE cooldown ability that generates 25 rage, deals upfront damage, and applies a short duration damage over time effect to any enemies in the targeted location. All enemies hit are tethered to the targeted location for the duration of the DoT.

Potency Conduits improve the power of your spells and are spec or Covenant specific. There are four for each DPS and Heals spec, two for Tank specs, and four Covenant specific Conduits.

Endurance Conduits provide your class with additional defensive value through damage mitigation or increased healing. There are three Endurance Conduits available to all specs and another two available only to Tanks.

Finesse Conduits provide additional utility to your class. Each class has four Finesse Conduits which are usable by all specs.

Will the Summon Steward ability be usable in arena's? I read on a post (https://www.wowhead.com/news=316990/havoc-demon-hunter-state-on-shadowlands-beta-covenant-abilities-legendaries-spec) that it currently does not work.

I got basically the choice between amazing transmog plus mount with bad ability on kyrian or ugly transmog with better ability, what a nice choice.

Should just go for the best transmog.

The Night Fae Hunter ability "Heart of the Forest", Necrolord Hunter ability "Death Chakram" and the Kyrian Hunter ability Resonating Arrow are all instant casts and do not have a focus cost associated with them. Is this an omission of the guide? If not, it would be helpful to state "0 focus cost" in order to be unambiguous and consistent.

In all seriousness if I hadn't joined the Night Fae, the Kyrians would've been my 2nd choice, as they and the Night Fae are the ONLY and I mean the ONLY covenants I like.
