Missions Overview

Enemies and Threats: There can be between one to three enemies on a mission, and each enemy can have up to three threats which are countered by followers with specific abilities. These are the types of threats:

You can view missions for a particular category, such as Patrol or Treasures.

You can browse all of the mission costs, rewards, and bonus experience.

Each mission page shows how many followers can go on a mission, the enemy threats (click on them to be taken to a list of all the abilities that counter it), any environment or race preferences, and the rewards.

On the main mission page, you can filter missions by their level, item level, rewards, enemy threats, mission details, rarity, and more!

Track your followers via Wowhead's Profiler

The top three options are suggested so you can pick which followers you like the most.

You have the option to specify if you'd like the tool to calculate your followers at max ilvl, or select the best options with Epic Mount.

You can also manually modify the list, based on your own followers, and link your follower combination to friends.

This tool also works on the PTR for upcoming followers, new abilities, and updated formula calculations.

Town Hall: This is the most common way to start a mission--go up to the table in the center of your Garrison, which is present at Level 1, 2, and 3.

Outposts: A mission table is in each Garrison Outpost--Alliance and Horde can access one each in Spitzen von Arak, Gorgrond, Talador, Nagrand. Our Outpost Guide explains the steps you have to take to build a basic outpost in each zone.

Leorajh: Leveling this Bodyguard follower up to Wingman status (20k rep) unlocks the ability Bonus von Leorajh: Windsprecher. Simply talk to him to access your mission table anywhere in Draenor. This follower requires you to have a Barracks in order to build up friendship.

Many leveling missions cost 0 Garnisonsressourcen.

Some rare missions and those that reward low level gear or armor tokens cost 5 Garnisonsressourcen. In 6.2, this includes missions for 5 Öl.

Rare level 100 missions cost 5 Garnisonsressourcen.

Counter an enemy threat. We have a filter for what base abilities on followers counter each threat.

Grouped with followers of the right race based on Racial Preference Traits. This can be quite potent with a full group.

Fighting an enemy race that fits a Slayer Trait, environment that fits an Environmental Preference, mission duration that fits Kraftspurt or Große Ausdauer, and Blook.

Simply adding a follower at the right level or item level will increase your success.

Some missions come with a base success chance, which is displayed on our mission database pages.

Mentor: Raises the level and item level of all other followers in the party to that of the follower with Mentor. Seems great to use on bonus experience missions with low level followers.

Meisterassassine: This is Garona die Halborcin's special trait.

Dämonisches Wissen: Unique ability of Oronok Herzeleid. In between Meisterassassine and Kampferfahrung.

Eliteraubtier: Covers many Slayer traits at once. Unique ability of Pallas.

The Level 1 Kaserne Stufe 1 unlocks Patrol missions. These have higher-than-normal experience rewards for followers, which makes them great for leveling followers to 100 and epic. Click here to see a list of patrol missions.

The Level 3 Mondsturzgasthaus / Frostwallschenke Stufe 3 unlocks Treasure Hunter missions that reward gold. Click here to see a list of treasure missions. The Extremplünderer trait is added in 6.1, which increases gold from missions.

Scouting Missions: Scouting Draenor missions reward a Scouting Report. These missions are all ilvl 615, take 3 hours, and require 2 followers.

Archaeology Fragments: Dig site missions reward a combination of fragments and keystones for Archäolog. Fragment (Arakkoa), Archäolog. Fragment (Oger), and Archäolog. Fragment (Klans von Draenor). These do not require followers to be level 100, although the higher-level missions have better rewards. They range from one to three followers and take 4 hours.

Treasure Maps: Rare exploration missions reward treasure maps that reveal all undiscovered chests on your map. Previously, this was only available if you completed all quests in a zone. If you already have the treasure map, they vendor for .

Meister der ErkundungsmissionenNenn mich nicht Junior!Harrison Jones

Harrison comes with Extremplünderer by default, as well as the unique ability Mentor which boosts the level and item level of other followers in the party to his own.

To complete Meisterreliktjäger, the other achievement needed for Nenn mich nicht Junior!, you will need to complete the related 6.1 daily quest from your Garrison, which in turn unlocks an equivalent mission for your followers. Example: Completing Der dunkle Zauberfoliant: Die Barriere durchbrechen unlocks .

Item Level Missions

Item Level 600 missions (generic level 100 missions) reward ilvl 615 gear for players, or ways to boost your follower's item level to 615. You can also unlock rare missions for Elementarrune and Dominanzstein. In 6.1, this also includes profession missions, more experience missions, racial trait missions, and SELFIE missions.

Item Level 615 missions reward ilvl 630 gear for players, or ways to boost your follower’s item level to 630. There are also several missions that reward 12,000/15,000 follower experience or 0 Garnisonsressourcen. In 6.1, this also includes missions for Augment Runes and Scouting Reports.

Item Level 630 missions reward ilvl 645 gear for players, or ways to boost your follower’s item level to 645. In 6.1, there are also Relic Hunter missions which are unlocked when you complete the corresponding daily quest in your Town Hall.

Item Level 645 missions reward a Cache of Highmaul Treasures. 15 bosskills from one difficulty will unlock loot rewards from the next difficulty up. This cache will contain gear from Highmaul (not weapons) and shows up very infrequently. These missions have 6 enemy threats. In 6.1, the rare mission Donnergroll is also 645.

Item Level 660 missions, new to 6.1, include those for Blackrock Foundry loot, Apexis Crystals, and Urgeist.

Item Level 675 missions, new to 6.1, include the top gold, Apexis Crystal, and Urgeist rewards. 6.2 adds several vanity rewards.

To receive missions that reward Truhe mit Schätzen von Hochfels which contains ilvl 655 Normal loot, you need 2 followers to hit ilvl 645.

To receive missions that reward Truhe mit Schätzen von Hochfels which contains ilvl 670 Heroic loot, you need 2 followers at ilvl 645 and 15 boss kills from Normal Mode Highmaul.

To receive missions that reward Truhe mit Schätzen von Hochfels which contains ilvl 685 Mythic loot, you need 2 followers at ilvl 645 and 15 boss kills from Heroic Mode Highmaul. To get an additional in addition to Mythic loot, you need 15 boss kills from Mythic Highmaul.

Apexiskristalle: This currency is used to buy epic gear in Warlords of Draenor. In Patch 6.1, there are additional ilvl 660 and ilvl 675 missions which reward Apexis Crystal. In 6.2, you can increase the Apexis yield with the Apexisverdichtung trait.

Siegel des geschmiedeten Schicksals: This currency lets you bonus roll on Tier 17 raid loot and receiving Siegel des geschmiedeten Schicksals via a mission does not count towards your weekly cap of 3 from quests and the Bunker / War Mill. (Rukhmar and Drov der Verheerer). In 6.1, there are additional missions that reward Siegel des geschmiedeten Schicksals.

Honor Points and Conquest Points are rewarded from several missions like Eroberung von Nagrand. In 6.2, Ehre des Champions is a reward as well.

If the success chance of the mission is above 100%, you earn additional base experience. Multiply the base experience by the extra success percentage to determine how much additional experience you get.

Followers that are one or two levels below the mission’s level only receive 50% of the base and bonus experience.

The missions on live that require ilvl 630 and reward bonus experience have had their requirements reduced to ilvl 615.

The bonus experience missions with 4 enemy threats have had their number of threats reduced.

Two of these ilvl 630 missions have been changed to require ilvl 600, but their bonus experience has been nerfed from 15k to 8k: Zutaten zerstören and Lava, Lava überall.

Several followers are rewards from early missions. If you fail these missions, you can buy them for in 6.1.

Rüstungsverbesserungsmarke and Waffenverbesserungsmarke: Generate either an uncommon, rare, or epic armor/weapon enhancement for your follower. Reward from missions like Krieg dem Kriegsherrn and Verheererplage. You could get lucky and get Blutbedecktes Rüstungsset, or you could get something small like Ausgeglichene Waffenverbesserung.

Kriegsverheerte Waffe and Kriegsverheertes Rüstungsset are a flat ilvl 615 increase to your weapons or armor, from level 100 missions.

Rüstungsset des Schwarzfels and Waffe des Schwarzfelsklans are a flat ilvl 630 increase to your weapons or armor, from lvl 615 missions.

Blutbedeckte Waffe and Blutbedecktes Rüstungsset are a flat ilvl 645 increase to your weapons or armor, from ilvl 630 missions.

Schwer bewehrte Rüstungsverbesserung and Extreme Waffenverbesserung provide +9 ilvl weapon or armor boosts, from ilvl 630 missions.

This changes all of a follower’s abilities and traits.

The traits selected are completely random--you could get professions, racial preferences, slayer bonuses, environmental preferences, success based on mission duration, experience boosts, or scavenger boosts.

The abilities however are based on the spec and class of your character, so you have a limited pool of new abilities. The Warlords of Draenor Follower Guide lists all the abilities associated with each follower class in addition to the handful that are spec-specific.

There are several traits you cannot get: Angler, Leibwächter, Tänzer, Immergrün, Hearthstone-Profi, Kampferfahrung.

This gives a follower the Hearthstone-Profi trait which increases experience party gains by 35%.

It’s best to use this on a follower that has a trait you don’t like such as a profession bonus, so you don’t accidentally remove a really good trait like Epic Mount.

In addition, to get the maximum usage out of this, use it on an uncommon quality follower that you’d like to reach epic, as they will be going on a ton of missions.

This means you can counter Danger Zones--but not as powerfully as followers that have an ability that counters Danger Zones.

Because Tänzer is a trait, it means it will replace things that help professions, racial preferences, environment preferences, mission duration, and enemy slayer types. It essentially lets your follower counter another enemy threat--3 instead of the usual 2.

It’s best to use this on a follower that has a trait you don’t like such as a profession bonus, so you don’t accidentally remove a really good trait like Epic Mount.

I was about to add a comment about when you recomend to use `Follower Re-training Certificate` but then i realized that this is more of a mission guide, rather then a follower

Awesome guide!
Can you include encouraging or at least mentioning that it is possible to win low percentage missions? I just won a 35% mission. It is totally do-able and sometimes worth the risk.

Something to bear in mind is that your followers will get the Base XP regardless of whether they succeed or fail at the mission. Thus if you don't care about the reward you can send a follower on a low-percentage mission just to get them the XP. The worst that can happen is they succeed :)

Similarly you can set-up 'carries' in a group mission that has a high chance of success before all positions are taken. Spare positions can be filled with lower level followers to get juicy Base XP rewards.

~~Caveat: A mission that is 5 levels or more above the followers' level will never yield XP to them.~~

I really Wish the Quest offer in Garrisson wasn't all level 100 or so since, it's hard to leveling follower without the require level.

There is a piece of information i have not been able to find. How many missions can show before there arent any more added? I would like to know if they will accumulate or if there is a cap.
Thanks in advance if this information is found and posted.

Edit: Just a small follow up to this. At present I have never seen more than 18 missions at any one time. They do expire but some have stayed for longer than others. I am not able to track more than every 12 hours so i can not give accurate times on this.

Edit: 20 is the number. You will not have any more missions at one time. They will go away eventually but it takes several days.

Uncompleted missions stay in your missions log (separate from your quest log) for approximately a week

They disappear faster than that, maybe 5 days or so. I had a rare mission for a coin and was leveling my followers to do it thinking it would stay there for a week and it disappeared from my log sooner than that.

Update: had another mission with a good reward disappear after only 2 days! Looks like there is no fixed expiration timer, mission expiration depends on what you do with other missions in your log. Mission appearance in your log depends on the level of your current active followers, so it can be assumed that mission disappearance may also depend on that (old missions have to vanish in order to clear up space for the new ones).

What exactly unlocks higher ilvl missions? I had a 615 follower for a couple days and no 615 missions showed up until after I got the "Raising the Bar" achievement (10 followers to 100).

Is there a set time for a mission to expire?
I had one for 645 bracers and it just disappeared before I could do it :(
It was only there 2-3 days at most. Really annoyed I would have had the people necessary to do it by tomorrow ><

One question. I had a disagreement with my friends about mission success rate. Is it possible, for example, a mission which requires 3 followers and has 100% success rate with only 2 followers and i add a 3rd low level one able to fail?

I have encountered a real problem with the number of available missions. About two days ago the number of missions available for me to send my Followers on dropped from about 20-30 a day to about 4-5 maximum in a day. Has anyone else had this issue?

I have all my followers at level 100, with various ilvl's of gear between them - would this affect the number of available missions? I have Barracks, so surely that would provide me with a few more, right?

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is it safe to assume that sending a level single 100 follower on a mission that only yields XP, would be a waste?

There isn't any kind of "rollover" or anything is there?

If all my followers are 645il..will i still get 630il quests? or i need atleast 2 followers with 630il

If you have an epic level 100 follower and all you can do with them is to send them on an XP only mission, do not forget that:

1- it will clear the mission from your log, letting the game offer you a different one
2- If you have a salvage yard level 2 or 3, you still get a shot at a crate of salvage.

Depending on how many idle followers you have at that time, it could still be worth it! I will gladly pay 10 or even 20 garrison resources for a chance to get follower item upgrades.

Edit: I also have a war mill. In my extended research with a sample size of just myself, the salvage yard level 3 will give you a lot more follower upgrades than the war mill (don't you hate it when it's just iron horde scraps in your work orders?). You can get 6 work orders per day from the war mill, but if you log in very regularly during the day you'll get a lot of big salvage crates.

In your town hall there is a table near the fireplace in the same room that the missions table is in.
At this smaller table is a map with a blue exclamation mark on it. If you click it you are offered the choice of two scenearios, that change daily.

(on the Garrisons page http://www.wowhead.com/garrisons there is a picture of this table next to the heading about missions, however the missions page linked to only discusses follower missions.

Where is there information about these here at Wowhead?

Hello everyone!

I've got a question which seriously bugs me. I have 36 followers at the moment from which 11 are inactive. The 25 active are: 23 lvl100 follower with various item levels, 1 lvl98 follower and 1 lvl95 follower. Now my question is: how does the system generate the upcoming mission's levels? Becouse with this setup I am still receiving lvl90 missions for example. Is that becouse I do have some lvl90 followers among the inactive ones?

It should be noted that follower item level can't go higher than 655.

I was trying to be efficient by using a 9 iLvl armor enhancement when it was at 649 (This follower only has a 615 weapon - getting a full set upgrade would be better used here), but as I said the cap is 655.

It has to be said, to receive the 645 ilvl missions, YOU MUST HAVE at least 1 follower with 645 ilvl equipped.

MISSION EXPIRATION TIME info here. If you want to know for how long missions will be available, just get an addon called MasterPlan ( others aswell but I've already tested this one and works nicely). When you have this addon active you will see on each mission (among other new things) a timer. For example 2/36 hours, meaning its available for 36 hours since it popped, and 2 hours already passed.
This addon has other useful things as mission/follower sorting, auto-fill mission slots based on success percentage, the total nr. of follower abilities/traits etc, and more. Hope this was useful in any way ^_^.

its about 2 reset then i not see any mission 645-655 rewards... i have 7 followers 650+

Likely correction: The guide says "To receive missions that reward Cache of Highmaul Treasures which contains ilvl 655 Normal loot, you need 2 followers to hit ilvl 645." I have read in other guides that it requires 3 followers (e.g., Icy Veins' "Garrison: Follower Missions Guide"), and that's been my experience. On three characters I had two 645 ilevel followers for a few days, and never got a Highmaul mission. The second I upgraded a third one to 645, two of the three characters got highmaul missions, and the remaining character got one within a day or two.

All 25 of my followers are now Epic level 100, so none of them can use XP any more. However, the majority of missions which appear offer XP as their secondary reward. Besides the chance to get salvage, they cost garrison resources for nothing. I'm looking for new followers to further optimize my trait and ability mix, but that has limited entertainment value (aka not fun). Am I missing something?

I got a Heroic Foundry Mission (Slagworks) with 29 bosses killed on normal. I had 8 bosses killed on Heroic. Please reply to this comment with the number of bosses you have killed on which difficulties and which level of foundry mission you are getting, so we can tabulate some data and guess how many bosses need to be killed to unlock each tier of mission.

Foundry Missions
Highmaul missions are challenging and infrequent missions that reward gear from Blackrock Foundry bosses.

One of the posts here suggests that we stipulate the amount of HC kills needed to activate certain levels of raid missions.

I have one HC kill in BRF and today got my first BRF HC (Slagworks) mission......oddly, it was HC Kromog that I killed so appears not to be specific to an area of the raid either.

after the patch, my alt monk recieved 0 missions for 645 gear, though he could use some, he has almost all followers 675 ilvl, wtf?

All my alts seem to be finding 645 ilevel gear reward missions left right and center where my main who has a bunch of 660 ilevel followers hasent seen a single one beyond 630 ilevel gear reward... What gives?

How are archaeology missions unlocked? I have not had any on my main, but suddenly they spawn for my alts. Do you need to craft crates, or complete an item to display in your garrison in order to receive a mission?

Also there are PvP missions, that I received after completing about 10-20 battle grounds and looting some 10 golden chests. I have not seem them being mentioned. They reward XP + 200 honor or gold + 200 honor. But I only got them on one character, so it must require some kind of pvp activity to gain them.

I don't know if anyone has noticed or mentioned this yet, but if you are coming back to your garrison to check your missions and you have a lot, you can press the space bar to open/scroll through them faster. Saves so much time!

I have problem with 675ilvl RARE missions
on 5 characters i have at least 10 followers with 675 ilvl and for one month i get rare missions only on my main character and alts do not get any of it.
Is there any link between character and follower ilvl for missions?

The day after I used 4 No Ehre des Champions in order to obtain 4,000 to purchase mounts, I was offered, for the first time, the Garrison Mission Herrschaft über die Spitzen which rewards 200 No .

As this alt / garrison / followers / &c. have all been max level for a very long time it's highly unlikely that this is a coincidence.
