I think Spriests changed to a much worst state because having to refresh dots constantly feels terrible and is still too punishing as it was before.

Kommentar von rhostam

As of 8/20/2018, under "Rotation, Priority, and Abilities" section "Opener" it says:

For your rotation, you’ll want to get into Voidform as quickly as possible and stay in it as long as possible. Additionally, you’ll want to maintain Shadowform at all times.

But then the talent guide says under Tier 6 choices it states:

Mindbender is generally the default choice for this row. Due to low stacks of Voidform and staying in Voidform not being all that worthwhile, both Lingering Insanity and Void Torrent aren’t worth taking over it.

I've been trying to train myself to use a rotation such that I stay in Voidform for as long as possible so as to keep the dots ticking while blasting as many Void Bolts as I can. Is Voidform useful, or not?

Thanks for the guides. You guys are great!

Under tier 5 talents you keep saying psychic horror, when it should be psychic link.

Kommentar von Burtannia

In the Tier 5 (Level 40) talents section the guide states "Psychic Horror shines as the talent to damage most targets evenly, while still dealing a slight amount of extra damage to your priority target. While Psychic Horror doesn't grant you Insanity to funnel, it does deal more damage to adds". I believe that the two instances of "Psychic Horror" should instead be "Psychic Link". Psychic Horror is the stun talent from the previous row (Tier 4).

Kommentar von Luciuswulfe

Some of this information is misleading; I realize there is an in-depth discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of individual talents but your "at a glance" talent tree builds are going to lead fledgling shadow priests into taking subpar talents. Most of our rows are pretty balanced as far as certain talents for certain situations, however:

On row 5, no shadow priest should be taking ANYTHING but Auspicious Spirits, especially since both other talents are essentially inferior in every way to it.

On row 7, Ancient Madness should never enter the conversation; maybe in some niche it would be good, but at the moment in PvE content it's just not worth it - and at the very least Hungering Void should be the 'go to' talent if one doesn't want to mess around with Surrender to Madness.

I do realize things are in flux and once Shadowlands hits there may be updates - especially for row 5 - but for right now this is the shadow priest meta.

Kommentar von IceWolfDK

I noticed you overlooked the changed Shadow Crash in tier5. It doesnt have 3 charges or single target damage buff anymore.

Kommentar von Ozan

The talent build for Mythic+ is completely nonsense and random. Don't even try it.

Kommentar von BladestormTank

First time playing Shadow Priest... this guide... is confusing as hell. Is this up to date? Especially the M+ section.

Kommentar von Sigoroth

Wait, under the Warmode PvP talents it suggests we take Greater Fade because it "Allows you to pull more mobs before bursting them down with a double eruption". How do you get a double eruption?

Kommentar von Tavionn

Is Mental Decay really important for Mythic plus? Maybe for really high keys, but do mobs really stay alive long enough to benefit from that?

Kommentar von heartarmor

Shadow Mythic string DAREEQFUEQRUREKFQCAQBFNVRVFQGSGEQCAECEA gives an error "Error: The loadout you are trying to import was saved from an old version."

Kommentar von RodneyCheung

Since in pre-patch legiondary still works, points shouldn't be wasted on Inescapable Torment and Y'shaarj. Instead, points should be used on Yogg-Saron. Also in mythic+ environment, N'Zoth is better imo, unless damage on boss is a problem then Yogg-Saron

Kommentar von Smolensk

Halo for M+? Are you sure?

Kommentar von Vanderz

What about open world content build?

Kommentar von mxyzptlk

You mention the Voidform for the Yogg Build but that isn't in the tree. You also have it in the rotation guide. Am I missing something?

Kommentar von PeckNeck

Idk why they made us have to opt into Mind Spike. I hate that....

Kommentar von Batistea

These M+ builds are stellar! I was lacking some DPS for my spriest and these literally revolutionized my game play! Thank you 💚

Kommentar von Badmooddude

Gotta say, tried a 21 CoS an this shadow build is REALLY bad... I'd say fool around an make one you like, but all round right now, shadow feels a bit weaker.

Kommentar von SocksAtWKI

Hmm, whoever is in charge of the website, https://warcraftpriests.com/cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi, your site is suspended. That's terribly un-helpful information.

Kommentar von Laryen35

Hello, I imported your link for the shadow archon overworld build. When I add the string to my game, there are a bunch of skills selected that have red X's, and it appears it wants me to choose the shadow weaver talents as my archon talents all have red X's on them. Am I missing something? Thank you.

Kommentar von natew23

this mod needs to update the new data, shadow has gotten multiple buffs especially with Voidweaver. so they could please update this guide thank u

Kommentar von Quatin

Under the "About the Author" where you say the guides are always updated, Shadow has apparently turned into frost DK's

Kommentar von Spectrezh

Think there is a typo:

If you strongly dislike using Mind Flay, you can swap the talent points in Mind Spike and Mind Melt for Voidtouched and Dark Evangelism and be absolutely fine in terms of gameplay.

Think that should be Mind Spike correct? Thanks!

Kommentar von Spectrezh

the build copy links appear to be broken. copied some over into game and nothing applied

Kommentar von flgiirl415

ST, M+ and Delve builds are all vertabim the same.. intended?

Kommentar von Corpselance

These Archon builds are really terrible. Why are you wasting points in the pet talents that do nothing? I understand that Archon is not as strong until we can really start to full-send crit into the endgame, but c'mon now. A 40% chance on targets with 20% health remaining (approaching "never" territory) to summon a Shadowfiend (negligible dps) that maybe generates literally four (4!) insanity for its entire 6-second duration (assuming it even gets to hit the target 4 times, considering around 1.5 sec between melees with some haste). Just tested all of this on a dummy on live.

On another note, I don't like Voidweaver because Mind Blast/Void Blast will often have an input stutter when your Entropic Rift fades where I press Void Blast in the exact millisecond that it transforms back into Mind Blast and instead of just casting Mind Blast, my character takes no action and I have to press Mind Blast again, wasting a valuable GCD in the process. Too frustrating.

Kommentar von MalenInsekt

Is Misery not better than Invoked Nightmare for ease of dotting?

Kommentar von ouija8

The worst this spec has possibly ever been. And they trippled-down on these *!@#$%^ Idols

Kommentar von Quatin

Do we know if the bug with maddening tentacles is visual or actually taking our juicy SW:M dot and defenestrate it?

Kommentar von Caoimhin

Your hero tree does not look like the in-game tree.

Kommentar von gbunkz

Delve loadout should include the spectral illusion talent. especially if you are soloing. It's a god send

Kommentar von disappointed

Oddly enough, I’m still doing more damage with voidweaver and raid content, both single target and AOE, even in Delves. I thought they corrected the VW bug. It seems like either they don’t know what they’re doing with shadow priest again in this expansion or, it’s still bugged /shrug.

Kommentar von ShawnDavis

Unfortunatley the builds don't appear to be very current, compared to some other sites like Murlok IO. Voidreaver appears to be pulling more damage. It looks like this was last update back in April.

Kommentar von disappointed

12.1 Archon is crap, always has been crap - unless you go in already geared. WHY does Blizz continue to neuter priests? F Archon, dumb ass Halo
