Pretty sure the door strat got fixed.
Nah. Still works so far I've seen.
Besides, I don't see how Blizzard could "fix" it.

Me (warrior tank) on Lightbane, DK on Darkbane. Both bosses are positioned in the center of the room. I stand between the center and the NW light portal (so Lightbane faces NW) and DK stands kinda halfway between the two western portals, so Darkbane faces West / SouthWest.
All ranged DPS, Melee, and some Healers have Dark essence, attacking Lightbane, and stand in the very center of the room (we call it "the pit"). We have 4 people with Light essence screening the North, NorthEast/East, SouthEast, and South so that no Light Balls hit "the pit;" these people are usually any Resto Druids, Boomkin, Mage. The two tanks cover anything coming toward the pit from the Western side. We also have 2 ranged (hunters normally) with the Dark Buff, one on the North and one at the South, that clean up any outside Dark Balls that would otherwise be sweeping around and hitting the Light Screeners.
That's the setup. Any Light Screening DPSers attack Darkbane (of course) and the Pit is on Lightbane.
When the Twin's Pact happens, we call it either the Easy Shield (the one on Lightbane, since most damagers in the Pit are already on Lightbane and have the damage buff), and Hard Shield (Darkbane's shield, since damagers in the Pit need to switch targets and don't have the added damage from being the correct essence). We can destroy Easy Shield without using cooldowns or heroism. On the first Hard Shield we pop heroism. The only exception to this is when the Hard Shield is the Fourth special ability in the rotation (i.e. we know it's coming). If the Hard Shield is the Fourth ability, the pit can Pre-swap and use cooldowns to burn the Hard Shield and not use heroism.
The Light Touch and Dark Touch (the "switch essence to clear the debuff" thing) is just healed through. The only time you switch essences is for Light and Dark Vortex. You have to be really careful not to just barrel headlong into Balls while switching colors. Note as a tank, I just save a cooldown (Shieldwall for one, Last Stand/Trinket and Enraged Regen for the other one) and don't bother moving to switch colors.
That's about it. Having good screeners, and having people know how to swap quickly for shield is the key to this fight for us.

On the door strat, get a warlock to absorb the orbs.
I do it for my guild. Get in max stam gear. I'm running 40K health in pvp, frost resist, and brightbrew charm trinkets from brewfest.
Coupled with Soul Link and
Nether Protection
. I am taking a lot of reduced damage throughout the entire fight. Grab a light charge along with offtank, while the raid takes a dark charge at the doors. Pop Demon Armor for +26% healing for yourself. If you get the dark whirl that does huge damage do yourself, Pop Voidwalker Sacrifice(~9K dmg) and Shadow Ward (~3K dmg).
