To my knowledge, not all achievements will be shared... that fact set aside, I'm almost certain that you can't get say 4 of 8 parts of an achievement done on one toon and the other 4 on another toon to complete them as a "team." I'm fairly certain that the achievement only possibly gets shared once it's complete on a single toon.

To my understanding, all Meta achievements such as Loremaster will be able to be split up between toons. I believe that Ghostcrawler or another blue had posted about this a while back, and from what I understood is that you have to get a complete "section" of a meta achievement on a character, but all characters can contribute their complete "sections" of a meta.
For example, getting
on any toon would count towards Loremaster, while getting
Quests im Eschental
,
Quests an der Dunkelküste
, etc. on different toons would not count.
This is how I understood how it would work based on the blue post, so it may be a good idea to look back through them. ( I believe it was called "Shared achievements in MoP" or something like that)

Actually Sas, I believe they will be filled in for some of the Long Trip stuff, as well as the counter for HK's, and I think it's going to end up happening on the dungeon achievements as well.

If anyone could tell us more about the shared achievements, I would love to know how it is going to work metas, rep, etc. I just have to be top in my guild for points or it bothers me :)

Is that so? Wow, I didn't imagine that being something they'd implement nor do I recall specifically seeing it... but then again I can't or don't have the energy/time to read every single announcement regarding changes. :D
It does make sense to me though the concept of what elmore mentioned... that if you get an achievement that is shared that is a small part of a more major achievement then you would be able to help other characters for the larger one. Has that been said officially or are we just speculating?(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##sas148##DELIM##

As far as loremaster goes.
If a certain zone requires 40 quests to complete the achieve.
Character 1 does 20 quests
Character 2 does 20 quests
Player does NOT get the achievement for that zone.
But once the achievement for a zone is completed on any character, it counts for continent meta-achievement.
Character 1 does 50 quests and gets achieve for zone A
Character 2 does 90 quests and gets achieve for zone B
Players has both zones checked off for meta achievement for that continent.

Consider though, that in Mists (maybe even 5.0 already) Loremaster will also require the Pandaria achievements.
