My healing build
, pending more exact numbers and that minor issue that I don't have an active account.

This is what I'm thinking for ret
, but I'm torn for the last tier. Divine Purpose is a nice talent, but the three holy power thing during GoAK is a nice bonus for bosses.

The last tier will be something mandatory for Ret, I think. One of them is going to have the highest on-paper DPS increase.
Also, after reading more carefully,
changed my mind

I'd like it better if every tier had a tank, healer and dps talent. Now looking at tier 3 I want to take all those talents or at least drop T4 talents to get 2 in T3.
But I like this:
Talents can be changed out when switching specs, as well as when running dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds.
Seems I can choose best talents for every fight :)

I don't think it works like that.
What would be the limit? Combat? Changing instance?

They did say you couldn't change in combat but that's about it.

I think that Sanctified Wrath is going to be my option of choice for Holy personally, at least for most encounters. Being able to go into super mana savings mode with a no cooldown, 20% boosted Holy Shock / Light of Dawn spam just sounds too good. Holy shock costs piss all, actually heals for a decent amount, and provides holy power. I'm totally down with that.
Edit: I didn't even think about the ramifications of being able to move and still do decent healing either. Depending on the encounter design for MoP, that could be a major player in it too.

IIRC, one of the interviews with Chris Metzen (?) mentioned something about talents being as easy to change around as glyphs are now.

Personally I'm probably not going to be casting a lot of HS in situations where I had to cast Wings. That usually means HR/DL spam.

Both Wowhead and MMO-Champion are cluttered with Blizzcon data. I don't use any other news sites so I'm not sure.
Also, being able to change talents out of combat seems a bit broken.
*uses HoJ*
*runs out of combat range*
*heals up*
*changes HoJ to Repentance*
*Repents*
*runs out of combat range*
*changes Repentance to HoJ*
*runs in and HoJs*
Edit: What I mean is, there's gotta be more than combat. And any more really limits the ability to "use the best talent for the fight"

Well, for BGs it could be something like the current dual spec thing, where you can tinker during prep but then you're stuck.
It would be even easier in PvE. Your whole raid/party would have to be out of combat, so classes with combat drops couldn't just pop those for a quick respec.

It's no different than a resto druid spamming LB on everyone during ToL. It's a choice you can make whether you can get by with decent HPS and insane mana savings, or you can just power through with big heals, or both.
Most fights you can get away with using it as a mana saving cooldown, for those that you can't, go ahead and spec into something else.

Bit of a tricky choice for prot pallies at the L45 set - Blessed life would be nice, sure, but not in challenging content versus...
Sacred shield - lovely, but Ardent Defender kind of does the same thing.... 20% healing received buff plus a very tiny damage absorb, or 20% damage mitigation and the good ol' AD bonus of not being murdered plus a (theoretical) 28k heal...
I'm sure someone will theorycraft a solution, but it sure won't be me!

Imo, the paladin tree looks a little underwhelming compared to the other classes.

Supposedly a ret paladin killed Ghostcrawler's parents.
But yes, I do agree that the talents feel a bit lackluster. All our talents look like reworks whilst DKs get Remorseless Winter and so on.

DK1: lol multi deathgrip
DK2: lol REMORSELESS WINTER

My god, think of the ping ponging in BGs.

Eh...they're not THAT bad.
It's not like you have to take a talent to make your CC as strong as other CCs or anything...

I get the choice between a CC and a stun. So they removed CC from us again D:

It could be that Fist of Justice is actually an Improved HoJ.
